Where have you been, all my life I looked for lessons like this from now on I am sticking with you.
Awesome! Thank you man! That makes me very happy :)
This is really cool. David Gilmour built Wish You Were Here off of this motif.
Pretty sure he stole it from me 😜😂
Perfect response!
I thought of WYWH as just noodling on Em Pentatonic 1sr position
@@GuitarME hahahaha
I love the way you make it simple to learn. I am over 70, been playing my whole life since age 13 but never learned much. I am already playing this and it does tie the chords together. Thank you. Subscribed!
Amazing! Thank you so much for the feedback! And so glad you are progressing! Keep at it 🎸🤘🕺🏻
Thank You for Sharing
Very helpful and well explained, thank you ❤
Me too
Really I also learned a lot that I can't believe, thank you so much, subscribed ❤❤❤
from an old guit who has played guitar for years I found your vids and realise how easy it can be to learn and take my playing to the next level with the right instruction. Thank you so much!
DAMN ¡¡HOW LONG I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM YOU MATE. YOU TURN SOMETHING VERY DIFFICULT IN SOMETHING SIMPLE , BEAUTIFUL ......FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO LOVES AMERICAN MUSIC IT HAS BEEN LUCKY TO FIND YOU . THANKS SO MUCH FROM SPAIN AND GOOD LUCK ¡¡¡¡
Brilliant, mate. I’ve just found your channel, and you’ve a gift for teaching guitar. No waffle, straight in, clearly explained, great licks and techniques. Definitely one of the best TH-cam teachers I’ve found so far.
This is a great video. I have been doing chords and strumming patterns for my first month of guitar and honestly been getting a bit bored. When I hit that lick for the first time I kinda lit up, lol. Thx for sharing man I'm subbed and practicing right now.
I love this!!! A couple of years bouncing around TH-cam guitar vids and I'm just now landing on this! This is exactly what I've been looking for!
That is so good to hear :) thank you for the comment and glad to be of service 🎸🤘
@@GuitarME Your pace of teaching is just right.
I started myself beginning of COVID times. I could have loved to see this video moons ago!
@@michaelwheeler6042 That's Awesome!
I like the way you teach techniques which can be used in other ways on other songs . You are a great teacher .!!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Really appreciate that!
I can't be the only one who is reminded of "Wish You Were Here".
You are not haha, it’s a common lick that gets used in loads of songs but very prominent in Wish You Were Here
Absolutely couldn’t agree more with everyone else’s comments, beautiful, emotional, and simple enough for a beginner like myself because of how well you break down each part of the lick. Love it Tony cheers!
Thank you for sharing this bit of gold
Tony! You are the best guitar teacher walking around. Phenomenal. Thank you
Wow, thanks so much for the kind words! I appreciate that! 😃
Thanks! Love watching your lessons .
Thank you so much man! That’s really appreciated 🙏🤘🎸
I like how your videos go through a simple technique or embellishment that sounds good, without going too difficult. It's in bite sized chunks making it easier to learn.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoy the teaching style :)
I'm 58 ,and haven't processed in the 5yrs of playing guitar. I've actually been playing more and scrolling less with your help. Thanks again.
Aw that’s awesome man! So glad to hear that!
My favorite lick of all time. Every key has a variation that just works. Hendrix crushed this on the electric.
I have been playing over 40 yrs and really enjoyed your lesson. Now I have to pull out my hat like yours. Fork over fork. Nice lesson 👁️
Haha fork over fork! Brilliant! Thanks for watching mate!
All the way from California brother, thank you!
Thank you so much man!
This is a great video! I was able to put these ideas to use immediately as I’ve played awhile. A very fun and engaging group of ideas to jam on.
Thank you for sharing.
I am so much better because of you posting this lesson... thank you so much for breaking it down so beautifully!
Thanks for that awesome feedback Joe 🙏 so glad I can help you :)
I’ve been trying to learn guitar for the last 8 years and I have to say discovering your channel has frankly been for me a game changer thanks so much and keep up the good work

Great lesson and teaching style! Really appreciate it!
Thanks so much man! You are very welcome!
Best channel for guitar on youtube. Thankyou.
Woohoo! I’ll take it… humbly of course 😁🤘🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🎸
If there was a store where you could purchase any accent, any cool sounding accent, your accent would be my number one pick. Everything you say just sounds cool.
I have learnt more from your videos in a couple of weeks, than a lifetime of messing about, sometimes the simplest of things sound the best, thank you.
I've been listening to Pink, I never imagined I can play it, thank you Sir
Rock on! Yay!
This reminds me of Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd. Also that slide riff is what is played in Smoke Stack Lightning.
Very beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed mate! Thank you!
That and 90,000 other songs 😊
Great teaching style, this is really cool, something so simple sounds so great, thanks Joe
Thanks for the feedback David :) really appreciate that matey, glad you enjoyed!
So simple, yet so much emotion in them notes. Nice sounding guitar also.
Thank you very much! It’s a Martin 000 28 🥰
Just purchased an acoustic...wee sheeran lowden...haven't strummed for 30 years...so these touches and add inns are great...and not complicated...sounds good.
Ooooh I want a Lowden! My next guitar purchase me thinks 🥰
...just pre released new subtract edition! Go for it.
You make it so very understandable. I've been playing for sometime and if at the start I had you as a teacher it would have been so much easier. Your on a winning formula. Great job
Well that really put a smile on my face. Nice to read all the comments and see the effect that your teaching has on people . Glad I stumbled across your channel and looking forward to putting some of those neat tips into practice. Bless up
Wow thank you for your kind words! My pleasure! 🎸😀
you are my new go to... everyone of your riff suggestions are going to become songs by me
Damn, you are one hell of guitar player & tutor. You're very easy to watch and you've given me encouragement to stick with this guitar malarkey. Cheers!
These tricks are exactly what I've been searching for a long time

Been playing poorly for years. This video really helped me. Thx

Oooh here, I like the sound of this. Just what I'm looking for in my guitar playing journey. Thanks mate, I sound immediately and the accent a nice bonus.
Haha awesome matey! Thanks for that! 🤘🎸🏴🕺🏻
Agreed. I've been waiting for this all my adult life. Tysm.
Awesome! Thank you too!
The Rolling Stones uses this lick in Tumbling Dice with a capo on the 4th fret
Great lesson thanks, made me go back to Wish You Were Here which uses this type of technique. having a great day now. Cheers.
Thanks Les! Yip it’s a great lick that’s been used in so many great songs including Wish You Were Here 🎶 glad you are having a good day 🤘🎸 keep jamming brother
lOVE IT - YOU SHOWED ME SOMETHING NEW AND THAT i CAN USE - sOUNDS LIKE pINK FLOYD 👍
Awesome man! Glad you enjoyed:)
Nothing like a wee lesson w a touch of the brogue. I shared it to FB and will subscribe.
Thanks so much man!
Thank you Tony! I've been looking for that. It'll work great with my bluegrass, country and folk rock sets. I can't wait to roll them out!

Thanks for teaching this old dog a new trick or two!
Thanks for breaking this down! Love the way it spices up the chord changes.
Glad you like it! Thanks man
Absolutely love this little tune. Your teaching this old dog some tricks. I still suck but I’m having a blast. Thanks so much for keeping it simple. I will continue to follow you and learn more great stuff.

Great job, simple and easy to follow with a more professional sound in about 20 minutes of practice. Thank you so much.
That’s great! So glad to be of service 🎸🤘
Great lick. Thank you, Tony.
You've got a great teaching style you spend more time teaching and less time showing off your skills on guitar. There's a million "teach you to play guitar videos but so far you and Marty Schwartz are the top keep it up love some blues!
I never comment on TH-cam but this sooo nice Tony. Thank you soo much, my heart was smiling when i was learning to play this. Stay blessed

If you are just learning guitar this guy can help you a lot!
Bravo I'm getting this one down can't wait to what words come out of that .
Awesome! Enjoy man!
You have a great way with teaching and using TH-cam. You just go right to it with NO BS! I will refer people here and BTW your guitar has a really nice sound.
Thanks so much Doug! I really appreciate that 🤘😊
I'll be watching time and again, to try and apply this, but thank you.
Awesome man! Thank you :)
Dude, this is gold. Thanks so much for sharing!

Great style of teaching. Best I’ve seen on TH-cam … thanks so much.
Brilliant! I hear whispers of the Wish You We’re Here solo. Love it!
Really cool thanks for explaining .
No problem! Thanks for tuning in! 😃
An awesome lesson. Thankyou Tony
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the most innovative, and inspiring guitar teacher on the planet. Just when you think you know everything about the guitar inside out, this bonnie guy,
Proves you don't. I have learned more from him, in a short space of time, then in years of playing. Thank you so much Tony.
Think this might be the best comment ever haha! Well it made me feel very good about myself! Thank you my friend 🤘
@@GuitarME A real pleasure mistro. Take care brother. Thank you.
Fantastic, really opened up my guitar playing and song writing ability, thank, you very much!
That’s amazing man! Very happy you enjoyed the lesson and had helped you out! 🤘🎸
Great teaching style, I could follow this this allright, Think I'll dust off my old guitar and get back to ya Tony, Thank you for relighting my enthusiasm.
Learning to play the guitar is often about learning the right thing for the right time. That's pretty good for me right now ;-)
Awesome! That makes me very happy :)
Wonderful lesson. I don't have an instructor available on the island I live on so been looking online for lessons, glad I found you. Over the last week or two I have been surprised at what I have been able to learn from your video's. I started learning to play during the pandemic and kind of hit a plateau and was getting confused by so many other video instructors. I really like your creativity, it has kind of opened up the fretboard in ways I had not thought of. Mahalo Tony!
Wow, thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! It warms my heart to know that my lessons have made such a positive impact on your musical journey. Keep that passion alive. Mahalo for your support and happy strumming, my friend! 🎶🌴
SIMPLY AMAZING. YOU MAKE THIS VERY EASY TO LEARN. WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN BECOME CREATIVE AND KIND OF NATURAL. THANKS FOR THE TIPS. GOOD STUFF.🙏
Awesome man! Glad you enjoyed the lesson 🤘🎸
American Scott here , love the accent. Love the guitar.

Lovely natural playing Tony! Will definitely steal these! Love that Martin too - sounds so nice!
Glad you like them! :) yip she’s my baby 🥰
Very nice! And sounds more complex than it is...thanks for sharing. I can't wait to practice it.
Yes! Glad you enjoyed man!
Only just stumbled on your site Tony. Love it nice easy interesting licks to do, I’ll definitely delve into more of your site.
Thanks for the feedback man! Enjoy! 🤘🎸
Hi Tony, your video was on my Home Screen this morning. I watched it once and knew right away that it was a keeper. The substance of the lesson is invaluable and the structure and pace are perfect.
It’s easy for me to find guitar “song” tutorials that I like, but finding “instructional” guitar tutorials is harder because they’re not as much fun. You’re video is so efficiently organized and painlessly taught that I will be able to watch it over and over and it will always be fun.
Aw Mike thanks so much for taking the time to write this comment, you made my day :)
I put a lot of work into these videos and comments like this make it all worthwhile:)
Thanks and hope you enjoy the channel!
Hey Tony, just wanted to give you a little more feedback now that I’ve been working this lesson a little.
I just started on it yesterday, but I’m having so much fun that I’ve already got over an hour of playing time with it. It’s a little addictive for me right now.
Thanks again for an awesome lesson.
P.S.-I’m adding in “the sEcret lick” today because I can see that it will be just as much fun (and as valuable) as this one.
It's start to wish you were here nearly get fab you'll see its like a e pento style pink Floyd
Well said,
Great wee lesson, thanks for this.
You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed :)
Cool. Please put out more videos like this.
Pretty cool little lesson.
big up Tony...great lesson..from Australia.

I've been looking for a simple lick to add to my tool box. Great job!
thanks,,, good to know and I will definetly impress the guys I play with next time
A lead into each chord. Of course! It was right under my chubby fingers all the time and I didn’t know it was there. Thank you so much for this .I subscribed me very cool.

Wow, thank you! 🙏
fantastic. your lessons totally opened up the guitarfor me..i ve been practising 6 months .first 1 hour a day then 2 hours..now i ve been playing 3 hours..and..just in time i found you..we all have to go through many months of pain and frustration but now its paying of a lot..a tip do practise everyday. and try to put new practises in..what helped a lot is scales and spiderwalks..and just keep trying your basic chords❤
Aw, man! I'm so glad that my lessons have made such a positive impact on your guitar journey! Appreciate that man! It's fantastic to see your dedication paying off with increased practice time and progress. Keep up the great work, and remember to enjoy the process! Thanks for sharing your experience and tips.
