She's such a gem! Discovering her music is wonderful and coming across her live performances is breath taking. Her voice has this beautiful way of swimming between small and sweet to powerful and intense very smoothly and with such command and grace. The best part is her song writing style matches her singing and her harp-like guitar playing so well that it all just melts into a surreal listening experience. Sometimes it's like the guitar is singing the words and her voice is the instrumental. It's no wonder her guitar bridges have a way of pulling you deeper which says a lot considering they often don't sound like the rest of the song yet resonate with the theme so strongly. What makes her truly exceptional is how her person resonates so much with her music.

Maybe I was too caught up in the escapism, because hearing about the meaning now this, creatively, is exactly what I've been feeling. La Havas is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of artist, just incredible. I have gone through this but I was basically the guy in your situation. I wish I had seen this during the time because I got so much out of your explanation of this song and it made so much sense when you said about not being able to get through to that person, they weren’t answering or weren’t saying anything because they couldn’t face it and I never thought of it that way, feel like I could have avoided hurting myself more and made the process of moving on a bit easier and quicker, I’m currently recording a cover of your song ‘bittersweet’ because I resonate with it so much and the emotions are very much relatable, your music and songwriting is beautiful and can’t wait to see this able be released and hopefully see it performed live at some point in the near future!
