Last Throttlestop and Undervolting Tutorial You NEED...

- This is for everyone who hasn't undervolted their CPU's yet, or would like to see how to under-volt i7-10750H or i7-9750H. It's super easy to stop thermal throttling to improve your workflow or just gaming experience in general. As an added bonus the fans also spin much less which no longer destroy my ears.

In fact, you did not lower the voltage. You can see in the upper right corner of the FIVR option after saving that the offset entry should have a change instead of 0. The reason is that hyperv and voltage reduction are not compatible. Try turning off virtualization in the BIOS and then modifying the throttle stop setting.
go to sleep bro
?
I agree
This will help my burning pc a lot, thank you! 👍
No problem!
all my FIVR setting are like greyed out what should i do?
same, no idea what to do :D
Reset BIOS, and check again. If doesn’t work, downgrade BIOS to 4 versions later, and reset bios. This should work
Does upgrading work ?
You basically need to enable overclocking in the BIOS and undervolte protection to disabled from BIOS settings. They are greyed out by default in many devices
i'll try with my i7-8550U laptop, thanks bro
what was your results?
i create 2 profiles, one exactly same like this vid. and the other i tweak myself. it runs good and stable
You are not undervolting the CPU in the video, the voltages do not change.
thanks for mentioning your wallpapers in desc
Yep need that battery saver one for laptop endurance
same intel chip as mine , still throttlestop is locked out, cant do anything. Some one have a way to make this work again?
Nice helpful tutorial. Thank you
Hey Jit, when I enter the FIVR menu all my options are locked and I cannot undervolt my CPU, is there a method to unlock them? I use an Acer Nitro with an 11th gen i7 processor of 2.30mhz
@@lucasluroo you may have to see your laptop model and check what options are locked in the bios accordingly.
Can I use this for my amd cpu? hope u reply
@@CXManh-bw7us yes but it may not work with all amd cpu's, I would recommend to install the app and try out.
Thank you so much!
Can someone recommend values for an i5-12450H? please
Bro i need a help, i am have a gaming laptop with i5 11400h but when i open throttlestop, the options are grayed out , please help me 😢
me too 😭
Why does my frequency drop to 0.5 only while playing games but while im running ts bench its way higher than in the game
It could be due to over heating of the computer. You could try turning off BD Prochot but make sure to check the thermals while gaming. It's not good to go over 95 Degrees celsius.
what does the "high performance" checkbox above the clock mod do?
Allows the full usage of CPU and enables the performance mode in windows power plan.
You do reallize that none of your undervolts are actually applied, right? Check the offset table in the FIVR tab.
Are you referring to the AVX Offset?
i have the same cpu and fivr is locked for me
me too
Download a older version
Hi can you help me, my FIVR Control is locked, how can i unlock it? Thanks
same problem as mine, throttlestop in locked out
Hey man, loved the way u presented this vid, I have a question, I have unlocked my undervolt through a usb boot device and every time my laptop crashes or I turn it off I have to unlock the bios again to get the unlock undervolt option back. Any way around this? i7 10th gen :)
I never needed to use a USB boot device however I think it should be possible just through bios since i7 10th gen is capable of undervolting. I also suggest restarting after completing the undervolt. Another reason may be that, having undervolted too much may cause the laptop to crash.
no no, my undervolt was bios locked so I followed another tutorial to unlock the settings which worked, what I dont understand is why every time my pc restarts does the bios re-lock the settings I changed before hand to allow the undervolting in the first place..@@abhrajitsaha5215
Not working for me..
Can I set the min value for speed shift in TPL to 8? Or can I do higher or is that bad
wheres the throttle stop link
My laptop is i5-10500H CPU, should I use your setting because its 10th gen too or is it not compatible because it isnt i7?
You could try similar settings but with lower numbers for e.g instead -125mv could try - 80mv and for fivr turbo limits lower values. Make sure you test out different values and then benchmark it. It should be okay for your computer to crash, computer should simply reboot and try more safe values.
also, please explain the divide thing on turbo ratio limits. you edit the video too short and fast that I dont understand what you are trying to say
Hey, i have just set up a discord server, we can talk further there.
Bro mine doesn't have speed shift
Bro nice video but stop cutting between finishing your sentences
Laptop temperature dropped by 20 degrees ❤
Glad this video helped!
yo wheres the link
You going to become a full time youtuber?
I am just trying to grow the community and my skills at making videos rn
Someone knows why after restart the value change.
Make sure you select the option save values after close (FIVR)
You speaking a bit fast if i may say on the instructions
does throttle changes its tdp value after shutdown ,?? is it necessary to mmake it as scheduled task
Yes it does change after shutting your computer down. You will have to relaunch it every time you want your desired settings back. Doing scheduled task is very helpful.
@@abhrajitsaha5215 can u also tell , me that if my laptop has locked undervolting , is there any way to to undervolt my laptop
@@mayank1522 If it's locked then unfortunately is not possible
You really need to learn how to edit.
on throttlestop my settings for changing voltage are all locked. I am able to do everything else tho. i7 1065g7 how to unlock?
You could try within the bios settings to unlock however I don't have a detailed explanation. Others in the comments also weren't able to unlock their cpu as it wasn't compatible to voltage unlock.
The constant clipping of every segment is very jarring and totally against the very concept of a tutorial
Does it work with armory crate
I am not too familiar but armory crate but I'm guessing it's like omen hub where you can tweak your internals slightly. You may still need ThrottleStop for adjusting the Mhz of cpu, or changing the maximum allowed voltage to cpu.
@@abhrajitsaha5215 thank man I try it work well with manual mode but for other profile doesn’t seem to work I guess am gonna make a few manual profile
Pc froze after offsetting Voltage to -125.0
Ahhhh, i think -125 for you is too much, hopefully you pc restarted, and try decreasing with smaller increments from 0 to 50 then see how far it goes.
never use throttle stop for basic laptops
ITS ONLY FOR GAMING ONES!
Well why not? Afterall undervolting makes your laptop cooler
@@-_--le3zk then your computer fans will degrade and stop functioning, and its possible to get a blue screen of death (from my expeiriences with a high end gaming laptop)
Its not showing fivr
That's strange, try restarting the app, restarting the computer or reinstalling the app.
undervolteing is locked cuz I have i510300H I can't undervolte
Oof unfortunate 🫠
can u help me?@@abhrajitsaha5215
you can bro just turn it on in bios u can look for guides
it's locked I can't get the advanced bios in my bios@@whattheperk1799
