I am Japanese. I'm not good at English, but I'll write a few comments. I was impressed to hear his sound at Mr. Alessi's recital held in Japan. It shocked me playing Tuba. I don't know when he will comes to Japan next time, but I would definitely like to go there.
Joe, I’ve listened to your perform for over 30 years. Your sound and performance here easily surpasses all previous efforts! Joe Reilly, trombone, 65 years and counting! If she is still in your sphere, say hello to Ginny Allen for me.
Everyone talks about how soft he plays the high notes. Am I the only one realising how in tune every note is? His notes matches the piano ones perfectly. Magnifico!!
This is something I never would think of but holy cow it WORKS. And really well! Your playing is phenomenal! Subscribed and looking forward to more ^_^
Just Wonderful. It sounds like this piece was written for the trombone! That is the power of this arrangement and the virtuosity played here. I wonder if the classical greats only knew what the trombone could do... what compositions would they have written specifically for the trombone? (Or for that matter Tuba etc...)
Even though I hold your trombone playing in the highest regard, I must say I am more jealous of your roll-top desk. Where can I get one, or would you be willing to sell it?
Funny thing, we used to have one back when I lived in the chino area of california. Same style chairs as well, so if this helps you out I would love to know. Might be a big retailer that does delivery or something.
Andrew Luna I want to say there’s a slight difference but honestly it’s hard to really tell unless you hear in person and compare between what he had before and what he has now
For me it's really hard to tell. Probably because he customized his new horn just the same like Edwards (on website they really look similar). BTW he didn't change his Griego-Alessi mouthpiece.
cris chen It has some slight differences, but it is essentially the same horn. Shires and Edwards both make great horns, but I believe I like Shires more
Yes but nobody plays high register in that easy way. I would like to know how Mr. Alessi think the sound in that register, which kind of sound he search
Wow, Wow, Wow! I guess when you have good instruction from the beginning (which he obviously did) so you don't start out with bad habits, and practiced his butt off, this is what you get.
Joseph Alessi pisses me off. I know he's worked for it. I appreciate his musical legacy. I understand the kind of work it takes to maintain this level for this long. But he still pisses me off.

His face and technique looks so relaxed 😱

He plays' high notes with such ease and dexterity.

Excellent sound! Congratulation for showing us this beautiful music.
Damn son!! Tonguing those notes are sooooo clean!

I was thinking of the desk myself

Bravíssimo, inspirador!
definitely better than the string version
Unbelievable...
I am such a computer moron, I just clicked on "dislike"!! Oh well. Joe plays so beautifully, this was a pleasure to develop with him.
When I got here I said to myself, Who downvotes this??? Now I know.
If you click the down-thumb again, it undoes it.
@@ejb7969 Thanks, just undisliked.
Astounding! Great arrangement!
Robert FYI I love your brass works. We do them every once in a while in my army brass ensemble.
Does anyone notice a difference in sound since he switched to shires
Not really. He sounds the same on each horn, it probably does feel more comfortable tho.
Andrew Luna I want to say there’s a slight difference but honestly it’s hard to really tell unless you hear in person and compare between what he had before and what he has now
Stephanie Curry I think he is sounding better on the shires.

Hola soy de Puerto Rico me gustaría obtener unos consejos de usted ...
Hello Ismael, Happy New Year. What kind of advice are you looking for?
And Ravel thought putting a saxophone in "Pictures" was clever ...
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How can you play notes so high in that way... ? What is The secret?
There is no secret. Practice long tones and flexibility every day

@@92Grego I think if you bought that exact trombone and mouthpiece, it would work.
Lil Boni alessi is built different
Lil Boni his first note on the trombone was a high b flat

Sooo who are the 4 trolls who thumb this down? They must not be musicians and only wish they could play like Alessi. :)
