Cale, great filming. I really liked the mix of time-lapse and normal. Thanks much for using the normal sounds during the time-lapse and not using music. The equipment sound IS the music :-). Personally, I will watch any of these heavy equipment videos you put out. But then again, I watch all of the videos you put out. Keep up the great work and thanks so much for taking us along for the ride.
A most enjoyable video.. The combination of formats between time lapse and normal speed makes for a pleasant presentation. Whether it's dirt work such as you were doing or just running a little tractor lawn mower around a large lawn, it's therapeutic sometimes to work on your own without distractions. I imagine it's also nice to see immediate results rather than the long-term operations which are inherent to farming. Thanks and Happy New Year to you and yours
I have not yet seen today's video. But I am happy with what ever you wish to 'send us'!!! Of course, mixing it up prevents 'boredom'!!! But you have taught us that farming is far from boredom! Thank you.
"defend your water" 😂 its's apparent Maverick is the group leader. Love the excavating video! Your production on these videos just keeps getting better, have really enjoyed watching. Great job Cale!
Fun video. Love working dirt. That tree you took out in the beginning could of helped with a payment on the Bobcat.cost a fortune here. Ending with Maverick and the dogs was hilarious. HAPPY NEW YEAR
I know that to a Farmer, scrub trees are a nuisance, but Evergreens can be moved to a different location. Hey are such low maintenance. Good deals every 10 years avoids bad and expensive delays. Go for it
Cale, when you started your skid steer it looks like the hour meter came up showing a little over 1,000 hrs. To me that's a new machine still, i'd run it another 10+ years.
KUDOS to your video editor, as we literally went from the MIGHTLY Excavator just unleashing havoc in "The Outback Refuge" [pond upgrade area] to Maverick [a stud of a duck] just roaming around in the garage! 🤣😂🤣😂
My husband would enjoy this video. BUT glad you live in Nebraska. My husband has been in earthmoving for 54 years and don't need anymore farmers taking work away from him. Just kidding! He has more than enough. We find it strange though that when the machine breaks down they call my husband for advice on what to do which he is happy to give.
Cale I’m going to give you a dirt work tip for dressing up with an excavator. Get a 6ft king 8-inch piece of steel pipe. Cut a slot out in the middle where it will fit over the teeth of your bucket. As in the teeth touch the back side of the pipe, then take a chain and hook it to each end and a boomer to tighten it snug against the teeth. Then you have a 6ft smooth round blade basically. You can move way more dirt and do more with that machine then you can a skid steer if you know what you’re doing. I farm and do dirt work.
Maybe next year corn & soy bean prices could improve...then you would only be 1 additional year out of your equipment exchange profile (11 years), which could be more beneficial...either way, it is still a "roll of the dice!"
@@LEAADFarms Cale,,,,, get one with a straight blade,,,, in your neck of the woods? Don’t get one with LGP pads,,,, under carriage wears out on them a lot faster. What ever you do make sure it has a ripper. Or back up rippers on the back of the blade. I’d look around Omaha and in Iowa. Under carriage is what you want to make sure is in good shape no matter what you go with.
As a high hour heavy equipment operator that does fine finishing with multiple machines (buggy, cat and scraper, dozer (d3-D9) , excavators and skiddy's) its very painful to watch you trying to do work with equipment not suited for the job. You need a 72 or 84 inch ditching bucket for that hoe in the worse way and a few tips on getting shuff done properly.

I have never regretted buying anything, but I have regretted not buying things. Good deals are few and far between.
Love this Cale! I am the same way as you! Not my primary but I love running machinery! Doesn’t the power of that excavator feel good!!!.??? Ha!
"Sweet ducky" "Maverick" !!!

Cale , Great Video. Any tractor/machinery content is great. Carl FONDEROSA FARMS MD
I watch quite a few channels that do dirt moving. Will be glad to add you to that list. Great vid.
Awesome! Thank you!
Your not the only one that has had a pet duck, five years ago my sister had one named ducky who now flying above the clouds 😢
Hi Maverick!...🤗🥰
Awful nice excavator there! Good change of pace from farming. Merry Christmas to all!
Definitely a fun video. Good variety of topics. Thanks and all the best to you in the New Year.

Maverick needs his own TH-cam channel. lol
I agree
Maverick is a mighty duck! And who doesn’t like to watch big equipment shaping the earth? It’s like meditation.

Hey, do you want a question. What is the difference between the deer 210G and P?
That was fun!

Boys and their toys :)
🙌
Get the new machine. Start dirt working you'll pay for it
Is that interstate 80 in the background?
Well id hate to think how much that Bobcat will cost in 2 years as compared to the GREAT deal this year. So you MAY be saving a few thousand

Great idea!
@@LEAADFarms run the chain around the bucket and keep it from getting in the way. We call it a mop. And it works.

Cale, did you get snow on Christmas day?
Get the bobcat and trust God for your new business to pay for it, in addition to the normal work you have for it all year.
👋😊
Need to get you a d6 dozer it will make the pound building easier 👍
Poud
Pond building … stupid autocorrect!!
I can’t agree more D6 with a six way blade is on the list. If you know of anyone that has one for sale send them my direction.

Great Video! Hope you hit 30K Subscribers by 1 Jan. “Watch Out Cale…Son-In-Law Grant my “Borrow” the Excavator!😅
He has already asked! LOL!
Why didn't you take those evergreens over by Grant and Laura's.

Hold off on the purchase in lean times, bank the money and buy your wife a new dress, it's a win, win. Lol

Better think of a girl's name for that duck you'll be finding eggs come spring lol
I would rather watch farming videos than endless monotonous digging. Maybe start a second channel: LEAAD Dirts
Ask your cpa about the skidsteer. Capital expenditure write off rates go down in 2024. Significantly.
