I'm still here from the early days when you didn't sell out your community and started charging a subscription service for full episodes... I miss the days when Motor Trend meant quality content.
I still have a Roadkill sticker on the toolbox on my truck from when the show first came out and they were giving them away. Hot Rod mag reader here who knew Finnegan and Frieburger before the show was even a thing. Now I'm disabled and can't work, it'd be nice to watch all the shows that used to be free while I can't do anything, but can't afford it.
The Pontiac Fiero actually had less than 300 reported engine fires due to manufacturing defects out of a production of 300,000 and almost all of them were in cars produced in the first half of the 84 model year.
@@MattMcCormick502-4 Incorrect. The fires were actually found to be caused by a bad casting process for the pistons which caused mechanical failure and the lack of a heat guard on the exhaust manifold
I still remember being able to see full episodes of motor trend programs for free on TH-cam. Sure I can afford motor trend now but a few years ago I couldn't and it really bothered me so now I refuse to.
They've been making a kit to put a chevy 350 in the Fiero forever and also no there not know for lighting on fire lol pretty sure u deff just made that up lol.
Well when they make shows like “car fix” you know in 5 seconds of watching how smart their people are that make decisions. Most of tbeir new shows are so bad you’d cancel your subscription knowing any cent is going to them.
Who else REALLY wants a Scamborghini now? 🤔🚘
That's a certified red neck scamborgini
When are we going to see the full thing on motor trend because I can't wait!
The angles on the front driveshaft

I used to buy the magazine as a kid. I'm 25 now and havent for over a decade.

The Fiero fires were due to the measly 3 quart oil capacity on the 2.5 liter Iron Dukes. The motor would overheat the oil and ignite on fire .
Must have had to modify the oil pan for the fiero. My iron duke held about 5 quarts.

so, on par with tesla's now days lol
@@weaselduke that's is correct, it was modified solely for the lack of room in the Fiero.

amen!!! its not like they dont get paid here too.
i know that feeling brother.
Wait there was never a 4.3L in a fiero. The biggest engine GM put in the fiero was a 2.8L
Nope just the 2.8 and the Iron Duke
At 4:43 they clear this up.
The 4.3 is the only v6 Fin is aware of.
I said the same thing, wtf lol
Not it has to be a 4.3 these guys are professionals 😂
Looks quite a bit like The Twister from Carmageddon, minus the front drill :D
Oh man...all the memories! :D
Ya'll are a trip. Keep 'em comin'!
It'd be really cool to see one of those cyclone motors in that thing
That's nuts
I'm building a Lamborghini inspired Terrero Vittoria built on an old Buffalo Police P71 Crown Vic
So fiero catches on fire no matter what engine you put in it, lmao
Should have put a built 4.3
That's not a 2.8, not a 4.3
They need to make a hot wheels car of this car
Dang, this monstrocity is soomething you only see in mad computer games or as hot wheels
Possibly the best use for one of those Lambo bodies ever!
It´s the Screwie Lewie from Carmageddon :D
just trust me bro..famous words
I would have liked to see the Scamborghini on the same tires as the mud truck.
You need yourself a rolling table for motors and transmissions
Is it for sale?
Hahaha It looks like one of the two cars from RPM Racing on SNES , really oldschool game , I knew that car was base on a Lambo 'Monstertruck' !!!
So fun
Twitty and the Liva' killa!!!
4.3? Cmon i thought you guys knew cars….
My thoughts exactly.
MY 85
FIERO caught fire . They cath fire due to the starter wire laying right on the exhaust manifold along with a oil line
from the factory.
I want one...lmao
Let's do a run vs my c4 4x4!
Can I please buy the Scamborghini??? Pleaseeee!!!
Stock 4.3? The v6 is a 2.8 no??
stock 4.3?
should have gone Ls4

C' Boys
you guys should strip it re build it correctly?!
Not a 4.3. It's a 2.8
Looks like someone is transitioning 😂
You guys do know the tire difference between them are huge, tractor vs mud/sand....thats what separates, ya'll bogus
overlaid motor sounds when its in the mud lol
Dang that things ugly
U R Racing without seatbelts??????😮
