Yup, I couldn’t believe it when I found it and it was in great condition. Bummer for whoever lost it but guess I’ll take it as good karma for all the trash collecting I’ve done. It’s actually Mt Adams, looks so much like Rainier though at some points that I get confused even when I know.
Great set up with your solar, battery pack and refrigerator! We haven’t tried one of those before- must be nice to have a cold drink on such a hot day! We haven’t tried a paddle board either - I guess I’ll have to try on a hot day ‘cause I’ll probably dunk too. Beautiful lake with views of Rainier!! 😄☀☀☀
@@JenniferLupine Thanks, I usually just bring a cooler with ice for short trips but thought I’d run the ole fridge this time to see how it faired on the hot day. I’m pretty terrible at paddle boarding but do ok kayaking and do really well at falling in the water. It’s actually Mt Adams doing a great impression of Rainier.
@@scottalpine Lol! Adams is looking amazing! I wasn’t quite sure what lake would be around Rainier, haha. I’ve got a hiking book on trails near Adams - hopefully I’ll have time to get down there next summer for some exploring. It’s beautiful! (Hopefully with a little practice you’ll get get good at your paddle board! ) 👍👍
What a beautiful little lake, and I love the view of Rainier from there! I don't think I've ever been to this campground. How well did those citronella torches work for keeping the bugs at bay in your camp? Bugs are so bad right now.
@@HikerT The citronella worked pretty good, but if the bugs are bad I still have to add spray. It’s actually Mt Adams doing a very good impression of Mt Rainier. There’s quite a few little lakes and campgrounds nearby.
@@scottalpine How cool! I forget how gorgeous Mt Adams is also. I need to get into that area in the near future. I've never explored there at all. Thanks for sharing!
❤ cant wait to use it
@@venturececena6727 it’ll be both awesome and hilarious
Looked like a fun little trip👍
@@ElectricDanielBoone It was great, especially on a hot day. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Ketchup on a hot dog again? You’re killing me Scott! 😂
@@goldfinger180024 🤣 that’s how I roll.

Nice ...I'm looking forward to more Kayak vids
I am wanting to get out on the water more but waiting on the canopy to store gear more securely.
That MSR stove was a nice find! Beautiful lake with the view of Rainer. I hope the nice weather keeps up.

No issues with wildfire smoke? Nice spot.
Nope not yet, I believe this was during the second week of July if I remember correctly.
