Especially after inviting them so eagerly, willigly, and warmly, at least when he had few-to-none in his City. The New York Mayor seems to believe that this is a "scheme" of some kind. 'Ello? He claimed that New York was a "Sanctuary" City. No one forced him to say that publically. He put his City in this position by promising something to unknown parties and that which he did not truly mean. And he cannot stop people from coming either, although he is trying or might try to do so. There are far too many endless ports of entry into New York.
Why can he not simply admit that he was wrong in supporting the open-border policy and be done with it that way instead of tyring to obtain aid that the Federal Government refused to give them anymore of by way of this frivolous lawsuit?
How anyone can blame the Texas governor is mindblowing. He has fought to close the borders. The politicians in NY who are experts at virtue signalling fought to keep the borders an open free for all. Why should texas have to foot the bill. Im a NYer who did not vote for any of this but my neighbors did. Maybe all the virtue signalling people of this country should think really hard about their decision and maybe join the fight to close the border.

You know I am 73 worked all my life and I am trying to get energy assistance in NJ and I have to give them pages of documents on my income. It is a big process and the people come here free and clear get whatever they need without working here or filing documents. This is disgusting. People born and raised here worked all they life paid taxes and these people are reaping all the rewards.
I can relate... I get 750 a month and they cut my link benefits when I got a 3% raise in s.s. so i was only getting 130 a month now I get 120. So I have to live on this . Go figure !

He barely can walk but if he doesn't work he will be homeless. They won't help him with anything either. And now his customers are starting to complain because he had to increase the prices. As someone who also lives in the south I support Texas for doing what it’s doing. Continue staying strong and keep giving them their “medicine” so much that they continue to choke from it. Maybe this time they’ll vote for people who will strengthen the border, vote for stricter immigration laws and not think that magical unicorn feelings will fix this as a certain previous president tried to warn us about this happening a couple years ago.

As someone who lives in NYC, this is equal parts beautiful and annoying. Annoying because I live here, but I've also been saying for years that just taking in any rando that comes in isn't sustainable for very obvious reasons. Mayor Adams gave the illegal migrants another alternative destination than NYC, and that was Canada. Mayor Adams even offered to pay for their bus fare to Canada at the expense of the New Yorkers taxpayers' money, of course.

Most of the cool little restaurants, cafes, and shops that made NYC a nice place to visit went out of business during lockdown and never came back. The big national chains survived. You can get Starbucks and Chile's anywhere so New York has lost a lot of its appeal.
As a Texan, this is amazing how so many people were against building a wall or wanted Texas to let people in, but when they come too close to their homes now it matters. Texas has had to deal with this National issue for too long. This has pulled on the educational system and resources for too long and is robbing our communities.😮😢😮

I saw a video of Abbott making a great point. Since Biden is letting them in “legally”, they have the right to travel freely. That lawsuit will be a waste of taxpayer money just like everything else involving the immigrants.

Here in Phoenix, a guy who works in an industrial type area tells me that every morning at least one bus pulls up in front of the place he works and drops off a whole load of migrants. He says they have blankets and pillows and everything. They stand there for a bit, then a line of black suvs with government plates pulls up and picks them all up and drives them away. No one from the migrants, to the bus drivers, to the suv drivers will say one word to them when they try and ask what's going on, and why is it going on in front of an obscure factory in an industrial area, away from the view of most people. There is a load of shady activity going on behind the scenes in the border states pertaining to the "asylum seekers" and the government is quite involved in all of it.
Human trafficking? Maybe they are taken to DUMBS and fed to reptilians.

Abuse of free labour and child trafficking are what he is seeing unfolding, at least in the beginning stages as it pertains to the U.S. They are sold into labour by the cartels and given "bracelets" of the amount that they owe back to them prior to their agreeing them to help them cross the border and to "earn" their freedom in the U.S., which they never will. The cartels will only raise the amount due every time that these illegal immigrants get close to paying off their balance.
A similar child trafficking scheme is used in countries in Europe, more so Eastern Europe from which I hail, but they entrap young girls with promises of a career in modeling, but for a hefty fee that only rises higher and higher the longer they remain with certain "agencies."
It is truly sickening and only gets worse as you read more about what is happening behind the scenes.

15 year paramedic & ER tech here and I can tell you _exactly_ what that NY law about "not sending needy persons" into the city is all about. Many cities, NYC included, have an open secret of shipping homeless (or the politically correct "needy persons") all across the country. Talk to any homeless person who's been on the street long enough and they will probably tell you they've been part of this or were at least offered to be sent another city. I've personally chatted with dozens of homeless who told me about travelling from one city to another, all "shipped around" on the dime of the city they just left. Someone might spend a few months on the west coast, then somewhere in the south and then in the summer be bussed back to the northeast. Rinse, repeat. So what Adam's is doing is taking a law that was designed to stop this from happening and _never_ written with illegal migrants in mind and twisting it into some new, novel quasi-legal application that benefits his own political agenda (weird how this seems to keep happening lately 🤔).

Unfortunately, the federal law states that the asylum seeker has up to 1 year from the day that they entered the country to apply for asylum. Then, they have to wait at least 5 months to apply for a working permit. Coming in for PROTECTION is different than coming in for ECONOMIC reasons. That is the reason behind the waiting period. So the system isn't abused!🤧
