From looking it seems slightly high that said its running fine, sounding sweet + trimming just fine, it might be me ( yep it is lol) id maybe drop it 20mm as its close to sucking air & would do if you hit rougher water- plus you could run it at lower speeds lifting the bow ( still lesving enough trim to run as you are now) all that said shes purring just fine, running strong without complaining, im going to film mine from this angle as ive never actuarial seen any engine running from this height or angle - thanks for sharing 👌
@@merc625 nice. I had a 2strk 2cyl merc 40hp on a non-tiller fiberglass Larson 15ft it would do about 45-48kph. Nothing like yours. Probably need 70hp+ to run with ya. It was thick heavy hull.
I have a dt85 Suzuki with 15p 3blade on 16ft n c/m only get it up to 22 mph max .sound like it can go more but need help in that… motor is fine just rebuilt n no issue just not enough hp
I have a 1999 40hp mercury 3cyl tiller steering with power trim on a 16ft flat bottom I just bought. Only getting 30mph out of it. I believe my motor height is wrong plus it had a hesitation so I’m currently cleaning the carbs. 75kph is like 46mph. I need to find the power and speed I’m missing. I may try a different prop too. I only have a factory 3 blade aluminum on it now.

Good run
Sounds great, I'd like to know the RPMs at WOT. It sounded like you may be over 6000rpm.
From memory around 6200
Must be close to sucking air through the intake.
What jack plate is that?
How fast was that? Anti ventilation plate is pretty high but looks like its working good on your boat !
It's probably one of the best sounding 40 2 strokes I've ever heard what have you done with that motor
It’s just a stock 40 merc four stroke
what's your water pressure?
Don’t know mate , temp is good and still pumping strong
Have the Mercury vessel view app to keep an eye on it
Looks to high
About 75kph mate
Vance jack plate from the states.
About 3/4 of the pick ups are out of the water flat out
What the fuck is kph? Kilos per hour?
Kilometers per hour.
it’s called the Metric system.
43 knots
@@AX01Adventures if this was an answer to me its kmph or km/h.
Yes I'm an a-hole yes I'm fun at parties but get ur acronyms in order
What type of boat is that motor on?
4.25 stessl edge tracker slimline
What prop is he using in the video? mark and step of the propeller please! Thank you
It’s a Propulse 4 blade adjustable pitch set at 16p
That looks and sounds more like 150hp.
It’s only a 3cyl 40 mate
