This video Focuses on the use of the assessment poll tool that is now in padlet padlet has introduced many new AI features and amongst them is the assessment AI tool which can be used to check understanding. The interesting thing about this particular technology is that you simply give instructions to the AI of the type of assessment that you want to produce and padlet it will produce it. Remember you're not producing tests or quizzes,these are assessment polls that means students have to vote on what they think is the correct answer.
In the video I show you some examples of assessment polls I then show you how to make an assessment poll and I also show you how to make the polls available to the students. It's very easy to share the assessment polls, you can either share the link to the students for example you can add it to zoom or add it to Google meet or put it on a website or email it to them but you also have the option to use a QR code. The QR code means that the students can simply open up their telephones, point at the code and access the poll. The good thing about the polls is that they can be used for a whole range of different areas in training and education. You could use it after watching a video or reading a text. The polls can be of different types for example you could have four sentences where only one of the sentences is correct and the students have to choose the correct sentence or perhaps you could have an activity where you have a gap in a sentence and the students have to choose the correct word.
What I like about the assessment poll is that it's a very easy way of quickly understanding whether your students are following what you are presenting or teaching them. This is an ideal quick and fun way to do assessment with your students and to find out exactly what your students understand. Tt provides you with very formative information about your student’s progress
