    I was targeted by a man who literally watched almost everything I did. It was awful. All shift every shift. I don't understand why someone expects someone to cope with that kind of monitoring.

      Sounds like covert workplace harassment, domestic espionage, gang stalking. Did you investigate their motives?

      I'm not a lawyer, but it may fall under the whistle-blower act.
      Yes, you could find somewhere else to work, but that doesn't break the chain for future employees, and no one should be bullied out of a comfortable work environment.

    It just sucks employees think hostile work environment can mean bad workplace due to a jerk boss-but to prove it’s due to a protected class, bosses will never make it due to your class.

  • @johnmaxwell1356
    @johnmaxwell1356 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    The fact that you have to prove you are protected class makes zero sense. EVERYONE is, or should be, a protected class. No one deserves to be treated to a bully/hostile work environment. I'm going through it right now. I've been with the company for 10 months but my "colleague" has been there 10 years. I have heard that he was likely the reason others have left. I try to treat everyone with respect, civility and professionalism. This guy continues to harrass me. I have notified management but I'm still worried that because of his tenure he will continue with his abusive behavior. I know there is "training" for some people but if this is a character trait can it truly be unlearned? I hate it. I don't want to put up with it anymore. I don't want anyone else to have to put up with it. I'm worried for my future employment. All because one guy never learned to play nice with others. I sympathize with anyone who may be in a similar situation.

    I’m dealing with this now. My co worker has yelled at me in front of 4 staff members and she shoulder bumped me and tells everyone she trains that I am stuck up , lazy and not helpful. She has went in the office to tell on everybody about things like you didn’t plug something in , you left one pillowcase in the dirty linen before you left , you forgot to verify an image etc. there is a micro manager too. My contract ends this coming week TG. I just submitted a very long complaint to my agency last night. I am dreading going back in next week bc I know since I included names as witnesses they will all be called back to discuss. I just want this week to be over with

      Than you are alone, they will target you until you quit or kill yourself which many cause you emotional distress until you can no longer handle the pain of being constantly bullied by them.
      Where I work at currently the HR is a sadistic person who enjoys Target people there are many people being targeted by her and there is no place to complain and she is getting away with her wrong doings. There is even and employee with disability that had been targeted and discriminated by her this is awful and caused an enormous emotional and psychological distress in any good hard worker.

    I work for a company contracted by the DOS overseas. I have been subjected to work place threats, bullying, intimidation and attempts to attack me while at work. This has caused me mental anguish, sleep disruption, loss of concentration, disruption in my work performance, loss of wages etc. I was told to either learn to deal with it or resign. I resigned out of fear of harm and reprials and because I was told I had not other choice other than continuing to work in the hostile and debilitating environment. Please advise

    I worked at my Exes Parents Restaurant. While I was finishing after close with my boss(my exes step father), my ex came in and stole my phone from my pocket, demanding I gave her my car keys. She then grabbed a knife and pointed it at me, threatening me if I tried grabbing my phone back an hour later of arguing and having 2 knives and scissors pointed at me, she bit me. My boss did nothing to get my phone back, did nothing to disarm his daughter, and then demanded that I give her my car keys or he would call the cops on me.
    She has constantly came into the restaurant and threatened and screamed at me over the months. But never to this point. The owner has never asked her to leave or stop her actions.
    I filed a domestic violence report. The cops are trying to get footage now from their security cameras. But now, as I can not work there anymore due to this, I am trying to see if I can get workmans comp.
