I love the Tiendecita Blanca. It has been there for decades and was able to maintain their quality. Suspiro a la Limena.....Yummy. Merngado de Cherimoya was great too but a new dessert in Peru as opposed to the Suspiro a la Limena that always existed. Great job in quoting Mark Twain. You guys do you homework. That is why I love your videos.
Chicos la comida peruana en general es exquisita y única es placer comerla.. y ustedes saben comer... Deberían ir a MISTURA es la Feria Gastronómica mas Grande que hay con lo mejor del Perú no se la pueden perder..es en setiembre...
Have you tried Turron de Doña Pepa? in Perú, its a tipical dessert that only is eaten in october, mostly, although you can find it in stores, but the demand is low if we compare it in october, here a page with more information cuzcoeats.com/chefs-sunday-a-miraculous-sweet-dona-pepas-turron/ , unless you already tasted it, eather way, good luck in your travels :)
Hey guys . Big fan here, I've seen all your Peruvian videos . I don't know if you have tried these desserts of yet but me being Peruvian can recommend crema volteada, which translates to upside down cream..but it's essentially a flan/custard but a little bit more eggy and dense. I grew up eating it and also leche asada which translates to baked milk and it's kinda like creme brule also delicious. And also torta helada which is a cake layered on top with a mousse often strawberry flavored on top of strawberry jello!. Looking forward to more videos 😁
The dessert suspiro a la limeña is made different nowaday , When I was a kid I remember it had three layers. at the bottom of the cup or the glass had a kind of cake moisted with honey or syrup or condensed milk a kind of honey sponge cake. That bottom layer is missing this days, I guess nobody do the original recipe because it will be sweeter than it is without the cake with honey or syrup.
You should come to the north of Perú, Chiclayo, it takes an hour flight from Lima, I live here! There's a wide variety of dishes you would not try in Lima. I love your videos! 🙌
you should visit Cusco,Arequipa,Trujillo.Peru has beautiful places and also different types of food depending on the place,Lima is not the whole Peru i can give u some advices recommending places.

I love your videos! So glad I found your channel, I'm learning so much - although I always get super hungry watching! Haha :). Have you been to Norway? Come and explore! I'll be your guide :)
They have a lot of names here, Capuli (they called this in Ayacucho-Peru), Pichu Berrie, Golden Berrie, Aguaymanto, I think in Colombia they put another name uchuva maybe
I love watching your videos. My fiancé and I would LOVE to have the opportunity to do what you get to do on a daily basis. Please keep making these amazing videos. Almost feel like we're there with you! :)
How to be you guys?? You travel and enjoy eating at the same time. While I suffer when I travel to new places and end up eating fast food because google failed to give me accurate information about food -.- Anyway, I love your Peruvian food videos. Keep up the good work!
I'm not sure that "suspiro a la limeña" means "the sigh of the woman from Lima". I think a closer interpretation would "Sigh Lima's style" ... or something
Samuel & Audrey salieron en una pagina peruana :') peru.com/actualidad/mi-ciudad/youtube-turistas-reaccionan-asi-al-comer-picarones-primera-vez-noticia-464552
+Samuel & Audrey if you go to any fancy or luxury restaurants off course the price is high but I know you enjoy that place and the good moment is priceless. 👍👍
Aguaymanto is known as a "gooseberry" in North America. I love your videos, but must insist that Samuel keep his elbows off the table while dining, and that he removes his hat, per local custom. A small thing, but important in respecting the culture.
I hope I didn't offend you, Samuel, but I lived in Lima for 8 years, and I became aware of the customs. I love your videos, so don't stop! @@samuelandaudrey
Que rico!! provecho!! me alegra mucho ver como personas del exterior le gusta la comida del Peru!! Saludos!! 😎😎👍👍👍😉😉

chirimoya... In England they sell it as custard apple.
la chirimoya es una de las frutas más deliciosas que existen en Perú
We have those fruits in England and they're called Physalis :)
The small orange ones with the leaves around them ✌🏼️
Wow! That is cool to hear.
We call those Ground Cherries here in parts of the US. They're so delicious!
yes. it's correct and the scientific name is Physalis peruviana
They have a lot of names here, Capuli (they called this in Ayacucho-Peru), Pichu Berrie, Golden Berrie, Aguaymanto, I think in Colombia they put another name uchuva maybe

What's your favourite place in South America
We really enjoyed everywhere we went but I think our time in Peru and Argentina would rank at the top.
Awesome thanks
How safe is Peru, for the average family. Are hotels and transportation plentiful?
We felt safe in Peru. You can definitely find lots of hotels and Air BNBs.
quiero un suspiro a la Limeña now!
How to be you guys?? You travel and enjoy eating at the same time. While I suffer when I travel to new places and end up eating fast food because google failed to give me accurate information about food -.- Anyway, I love your Peruvian food videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! It can be really hit or miss with food sometimes. We've had some awful meals as well on the road. Some that have made us sick before.
You've been all over S.America. Which do you think is the best place to have a food trip?
Thanks for replying. Appreciate it
these videos are awesome 😊
Thank you very much! :)
Bienvenidos
Gracias!
I love your videos guys! Audrey, your Spanish accent is so good, how long did you study it?
Thank you! She lived in Argentina for about 6 years so she learned then.
yo iba a preguntar lo mismo ...
I'm not sure that "suspiro a la limeña" means "the sigh of the woman from Lima". I think a closer interpretation would "Sigh Lima's style" ... or something
Yup, it could be translated that way too.
Antaño a ese postre se le llamaba suspiro de limeña y no suspiro a la limeña como se le llama ahora.
Deben poner la torta helada ese si es un postre de origen peruano.
which its the name of that restaurant?
It is called La Tiendecita Blanca. This is the address:
Address: Ricardo Palma 111, Miraflores Lima 18, Peru
Phone: +51 1 2411124
That pudding at the start looks ridiculously decadent
Thanks buddy! It sure is. No wonder I was getting fat ;)
