Today we are looking at the 1971 UK Proof Coin Set from the Royal Mint, we have the full set of 1/2p, 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 50p Coins.
Including the NIFC 1971 50 Pence!

Nice set, I keep going to get this. I have the 1972 annual set bought it as its the year my partner was born. Also have the 1992 annual set as it was the year our son was born also it has one of my favourite 50p coin design the EC presidency
Yeah the 92 is a great one to have and even nicer that it's for a special date, awesome!

Nice set the toning on them is nice and over here in the USA toned coins exact a huge premium over face that is sometimes shocking thx for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻

I don’t have this years set I have 1972 & 1974 sets, might pick it up at some point, as you say it’s probably a good idea to have the first year

Hard to believe it's been so long since these were introduced. I can't say I miss the larger coins which have been changed to smaller ones too much mainly due to the weight.

@@LAFTA so long as you don’t tell my Wife, between me and you !! 😉 😉 I might have one or three sets ! My collection is growing lol and is a good few years old!!! But my Family’s military medal collections and mine is more impressive!! That’s getting harder to keep Displayed and stored lol 😂 take care buddy and keep collecting, we all got to have a vice in life !
