- I have now reached the end of my Pre Decimal "Specimen" set Journey so this video provides an update on my 1911 & 1927 Specimen sets. My intent is to focus on the change in design from the 1911 Coronation set to the 1927 "New Coinage" set.

Stunning coins mate 😁⚓️🧲👍
@@blisteringbarnaclesmagnets6364 Thank you. I can never get over how NGC grade British Pre Decimal coinage??? that 1911 florin is a stunning coin and how it did not get PF66 is beyond me 😡
great coins

Sorry, the word "type" should be "typo," i.e., a mistake.
I too have a nice collection of pre decimals, and thought a man I can identify with. Right up until you said very humbly that your opinion was humble.
In my opinion that's a terrible admission.
Submitting coins is a crap shoot. Amazingly, I have had modern proofs that are all automatically "UCAM" as NGC calls it, come back as just PF. Frankly, it is obviously just a type. Or something. I have stopped submitting to NGC. It is better just to buy on the market. And, frankly, can anybody really tell the differnce between, say PF UCAM 69 and PF UCAM 70?
@@thomasdvorak5853 Purchasing already graded coins, dependant on the coin, can make sense and don't get me started on Grades 😎 Unfortunately I am ŵelded to NGC!
I think grading coins and having them slabbed is scrap idea. I think coins in 2x2 slips on a A4 page better to see which ones really pop and can be better appreciated.
If I bought a slabbed coin the price would have to be similar to what I can get unslabbed.
