@@taybarrett2893 unfortunately we can't really see the spurs nor her leg to really see how she's using them, so can't judge whether or not they're being used appropriately. And, yes, you CAN use spurs "appropriately" - light touching, and slight adjustment to placement is how high-level riders give advanced cues to their horses (dressage is an amazing example of this). I'll keep hoping western-style spurs can advance to blunt-ended, non-rolling spurs (which are what dressage uses and safer overall), but I don't think they're *always* bad tools to use.
@@taybarrett2893 I don't see any spurs. Would you leave a time stamp? Though if there are any I doubt she uses much pressure at all. Watching her lower leg she is very good at keeping it off of her horse and calm. An archery horse of this training is usually sensitive enough to feel the brush of your pant leg closing in for a leg cue before the leg even makes connection. Almost all of our riding is done from the lower half since we have our hands full. We will tie our reins in a knot up short where you would hold them for a canter and let them rest on the horses neck to keep them out of the way and also in an easy to reach spot.
!!!! My old ‘trainer’ said my horse, kassadin needed a harsher bit. No she just needed to know how to use her seat. I ride him bitless + bridleless all the time now :))
I never got a saddle for the first three years I rode. A bareback pad, no stirrups. When you feel every muscle, every tendon you can become one with your horse quickly. Bravo to these two beautiful examples of trust and belief in each other. Truly inspiring.
It's a reining horse and she's using spurs, does that change your mystical view on her? I bet you wouldn't call her those things if she was riding in a bit even if she wasn't using it.
Impressive leg work! This is a testimony to the fact you can absolutely control your house with your leg only. Bravo! Not to mention archery and horseback belong together! 👏👏👏👏👏
First time seeing this and just realized how much coordination goes into shooting from horseback. Lady is super awesome! Much respect to warriors who went full speed during war without any use of reins with a kill shot. Especially the Mongolians
That was magic , such passion and compassion to be free. Thankyou smiles and exitment and a few happy tears as all that from your heart. Im in england id never even known about breed quarterhorse i thought i was looking after a thoroughbred ,chestnut so similar and had to learn the arts of horsemanship a new language that makes sence for a bond of play and love and joy . And never looked back 🧡✌
i've been doing archery for about five years now and have only recently discovered my love for horses and horseback riding. i want to keep on training in both sports and eventually combine them, like she beautifully has here! watching this really warmed my heart and inspired me ❤
Show must go on.. Nur traurig. Schau auch ganz am Anfang des Videos, wie die Dame "rumzickt"!🙄
Agreed. Ever tried to tell a cat what to do? Horses are essentially a blend of cat and dog...in a one-thousand pound body. I've had a horse step on just my toes with enough force to bruise them without breaking them because he thought I was tightening the girth too much. (Crafty little lesson Morgan. Did the balloon trick too. Had a talk with him and made him realize that I actually knew how to tack up properly. He quit doing it after that, and I got to keep my toes.) If the horse did not want her up there, she wouldn't be up there. They DO have ways of making their displeasure known.
That's is pretty obviously a fantastic connection between rider and horse. No nonsense. The horse's head is low. This is a sign of relaxation. But I guess you would have to know horse behavior or horses in general to know that. This horse is very well handled. And I agree. If the horse didn't want the rider on him..... She wouldn't be up there. She'd be in the ground.

No bridle, no halter, no neck rope, no hands! WOW!!
Yep, just some big spurs! Lol

Shows what can be done riding w/ just seat & legs. All the people that think the answer is a harsher bit should see this...
I think if the horse could vote, he'd rather have a snaffle in his mouth than those giant metal spurs she has digging into his ribs.
@@taybarrett2893 I didn't notice those. Sad. 😔

Damn awesome. There is a connection that u will see in no other sport. Horse and rider as one. Bravo
Amazing work amazing horsemanship!!!! The relationship here is just soooo inspiring!!!
There no need for hauling on reins. This is a woman perfectly balanced riding off her skeleton and with a feel. Amazing

The less equipment you use the more impressive it is. Good for you girl!
Well done! Lotsa miles on that saddle, you are a blessing to the horse world.
I love how the horse know to wait for the rider to resettle her seat after maneuvers.
Wow! An excellent exhibition of horsemanship. What a connection between horse and rider.
Beautifully trained & in tune with one another!!!

I absolutely love that this was done with no bridal or reins. 💖
Love, love, love. No words ... this horse is freaking awesome.
This made me cry, so beautiful!!!
Now imagine galloping alongside buffalo without a saddle and shooting that bow!
I think the native equestrians would appreciate this
Ladies and gentlemen, that’s how it’s done ❤️
OK.... it's official, my prepper group needs her and her horse on our QRF. ( Quick Reaction Force )
This is incredible riding AWESOME horse 😊❤
Wow. Just wow.

Wow, just wow!!!
I noticed how when she wasn’t doing archery her hands were as if there were reins there. Very intrigued by all of this video. 👏👏
Someone send this to Kaasai!

I'm impressed that there are absolutely no reins or headstall involved.

Merida in Real 🥰🐎🏹❤️❤️
Ну что, здОрово. Берейтору - слава!
Круто и впечатляет
That's a wow
Awesome!!!
😲🥰😊
The fact she's dressed as Merida and the music has nothing to do with it slightly bothers...
If she were bareback, that would be bad. She has a saddle. She's good!!!
Imagine if it was a shire horse

Wie willst du das auch sehen? Wenn sie "eideidei" sagt und ihm Küsschen gibt, oder wie?
