Helps with strengthen my ligaments & joints. It gave me an extra boost on pushing out more heavy reps on the flat barbell bench press. I can do 315 pounds for 10 reps with almost a 1 second pause at the bottom using a full range lifting movement.. A month ago I could only bench press 315 pounds for 6 reps. It's my first cycle Var I ever did in my entire life. Only taking 10mgs a day, no crazy high dose.

Honestly I think it was the rise in the popularity of powerlifting in the early 2010’s that saved us from having to accept commercial gym hell forever. Now gyms this terrible (or more accurately, gym management this terrible) are pretty rare.
Just started at a new hardcore gym, I think I saw a guy that was damn near throwing his cleans down, it was pretty awesome, the guy was hyped up doing 275 power cleans, pretty solid form too. They have special marked warn out bars to abuse and a bunch of handwritten signs telling people the "F--KIGN" rules. Guy in the corner was dropping a log, sounded like a train wreck. I think I have found heaven.
thats crazy, i used to go here pre-covid. super powerlifter friendly and even motivating (dave was willing to work within my means to pay whatever to use the gym). you could always find serious guys lifting heavy (5 plate squats, 3+plate benching) and they were always friendly and supportive. idk how it is now, but from your video it does not look the same. sad.

The gatekeeper manager who tries it on with all the women asked me to lower the deadlift quietly on an oly platform using bumpers cos i was doing some horsecock weight and I was looking gorgeous. I love my local gym. It's in the basement of a building that has racquetball courts upstairs. It dark, dirty and the plates are kinda rusty. We have 6 benches and 4 squat racks. Its awesome!

I even saw the bodybuilder Doug fruchey being trained by Charles glass while there. If this is what it's come to I'm glad I haven't been back. Also I'm surprised you didn't show the squat challenge they had on the mirror. Squat 100lbs over body weight for 37 reps. Anyway great review

since i subscribed to this fanny pack horse necked freak's channel, I have been enjoying my lifting so much more. I don't go heavy on every exercise. I got my 115kg bench press now, but I haven't done any shoulder presses for a while. I really wanna see if I can get up to 70/80 safely and strongly with reasonable form on that. The other thing I do is try to max out all the machines. I maxed out pull downs and seated row. Next is max on the chest flye and shoulder press. I might even be close to maxing out the chest flye doing reverses. I just find these goals inspiring and fun, whereas when I was doing RP style stuff I developed well but I have lost my love of it all a bit.
Honestly, what a bizarre gym.. how and why does some place have such a hardcore appearance then become that? Like, I’m not interested in using quiet gyms with this sort of vibe but I don’t mind their existence; i’m not the target audience and I don’t need to be the target audience. But how does this sort of gym come to be in the first place?

Old gym I used to go to was like this, everyone had an attitude/old people bullying younger adults and trying to compete and fish eye/etc. Finally had enough, left and joined a new gym... a month later I get an email the old gym is closing going out of business 😂 Ever since literally have never had a problem at the new gym I go to now

Old gym I used to go to was like this, everyone had an attitude/old people bullying younger adults and trying to compete and fish eye/etc.
Finally had enough, left and joined a new gym... a month later I get an email the old gym is closing going out of business 😂 Ever since literally have never had a problem at the new gym I go to now
