Hi Antonio! So many amaizing choices it is actually quite hard to pick up the best one. Even when I had narroved them to 2 finalists- Brown Wingtip and Brown Captain- it didn't get easier. Finally, after some soulsearching, the Brown Wingtip is the best one out of the bunch, in my opinion. Why I've chosen this particular style instead of a Chukka, Chelsea or a Commander? As I am yet to own a true, classical and refined pair of gentleman's boots, I feel the 1st one in any man's wardrobe should be the most traditional and versatile of the bunch- the good ol' lace-up with a reliable sturdy sole. For me, it is somewhat of an icon - just like a black leather jacket. Same goes for the material and the color. As much as I greatly adore suede variations, it shouldn't be the material of your 1st pair of boots, more so in freezing and wet Lithuanian winters. Perhaps, after I will have bought all the essentials and will be seeking to expand and experiment beyond my comfort zone. As to the color, a dark brown boot is just the most versatile in regards to styling variations and looks in my opinion, besides I've always imagined some accesories ( bags, boots) always look their best in brown, more so after a beautiful patina is created. As to the broguing... I just can't resist it- the attraction is insane. Even though it tears my versatility idea to shreds, it is just too beautiful on a brown boot to dismiss it. All in all, a brown wingtip boot is a simbiosis of a rugged, robust look with a more refined, delicate touch- an amaizing combination and a great compromise. In a rich brown color and marvelous texture of a wingtip, it will command attention and stand out perfectly. Besides, I've heard once from someone that women, in general, are really attracted to a great texture.... :) As to the styling variations, I believe I could achieve a great smart-casual winter look with this combination: a great pair of raw denim, white oxford shirt, dark green v-neck sweater ( a possible casual tie with a casual knot?). Add a nice pair of leather gloves, burgundy scarf and a beautiful, quality camel coat. Sprinkle a Nutsack bag, matching belt- voilà. A rugged, bad boy look for fall: black leather biker jacket, dark-red henley shirt, black/dark blue jeans. Would look awesome IMO. Finally, a proper care of the boots. I would buy every required and suggested product to prolong the service and stunning look of the boots, as seen in a video you've made in the past ( cleaner, conditioner, protectant, wax). I'd be honored if you'd sacrifice your precious time to read my long, borring essay. :D
Hi Antonio, I really like their Captain in black. It would work well with my black Schott 118 perfecto jacket, which I typically wear with a black or grey slim-fit, v-neck t-shirt, and a raw or dark wash denim in slim or skinny fit. Great video btw.
I own a pair of ThursdayBoots. Well made, affordable, classic style. Great recommendation. I have never seen or heard of a leather conditioner like those you showed in the video. I'll be looking for them now.
Real Men Real Style - Hello brother Anthony, in the next four to six months I'm looking to purchase the following ThursdayBoots: Captain | Dark Olive Suede Captain | Midnight Suede & Brown
Ever since I was a soldier I was a veteran of the Royal Irish for 27 years We have had look after your boots and they will look after you . We always used kiwi polish and kiwi dubbin some times neets oil when in winter ops but getting a shine was hard work when we were RTUed but it was always kiwi espesily for Bulling (spit shine) but when bulling we always used bees wax on our best boot even some times they cracked out with a hot spoon and smooth out the crack but Working boots i always waterproof the leather with dubbin let them dry and polish them up with a bulled toe cap And have continued in to my civie life no matter the price always have a shine on my shoes or boots and use nubuck kit to waterproof them and use a swade brush
Duke Brown Chelsea boots with indigo or maybe black jeans and a nice overcoat. Best combination in my opinion. The best content on TH-cam! Thanks for you hard work, Antonio!
I purchased a pair of the Presidents back in July in the Terracotta shade or your recommendation. These are hands down the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I have had more compliments from male and female friends than any thing I have ever owned in my life. Jeans work best but any other casual pants work for me. I had forgotten what true quality shoes were about.
Great Video. I used to work in a cobbler shop and saw lots of really neglected shoes that people were desperate to try and save. They had no idea that you actually had to maintain footwear. I personally love the Captain style boots in black as they can be dressed up and down. Thanks again for the video.
The captain is one of the best looking boots I have seen. I would love a pair. It would look really great all year round, especially on a little less formal days with jeans or even with slacks and a dress shirt. Thats how I would wear it.
I picked up a pair of Scout chukkas from Thursday nearly a year ago because of you and this channel. I'm getting them out for tomorrow because It might get wet out there, they are my go to wet weather boot. I love them and they still get compliments ALL the time! Tomorrow they will probably get paired with some khaki chinos, a blue dress shirt and brown tweed sport coat, it's finally cool enough here in the south to get away with boots and sport coats again! Semper Fi brother, keep up the good work!
I looove my Thursday Boots! I have the Captain in Terracotta and I wear them almost exclusively. They look great with basically everything and so far are holding up solidly. Worth every penny!
I moved to Chicago a few months ago from texas so this will be my first harsh chicago winter. I would pick a captain midnight blue suede and brown and would wear it with a heavy fabric chino or corduroy, brown leather belt, a flannel, and finally a warm denim or leather jacket.
Thanks for the shoe care tips Antonio! I appreciate that you aren't all "buy this $30 French polish or you hate your boots" like some TH-camrs are. My favorite of the Thursday boots is the Black President Boot. I have too many shoes/boots with cap toes or brogueing, so the simplicity of these really appeals. And
I had a pair of boots that lasted me 10 years when I was in the Army, I wore them at least a few times a week, they went through mud and blood and everything you can imagine a pair of army boots would go through, had the re-soled 3 times... all because I looked after them and treated them with respect
Great video Antonio! I think you should do a maintenance series. How to store clothing to maintain them? Like on hangers or shelves How and when to wash different pieces of clothing? How many days and like a smell test or some sort of test to tell when to wash? Same thing with like regular sneakers and everything else you could think of
The commander looks great. I loved it from day 1 about two years ago! I would wear them both casually with jeans and more dressed up wife trousers as I don't work at a rigid environment.
Ive had my work boots for 4 years now and worn them every day . There a little roughed up now but they have been through hell and back. What you want to do is put clear bees wax on them. It not only water proofs them but it will also protect the leather. If my work boots can last up to 5 years than your dress "boots should last forever.
I have a pair of timberlands I have owned for over 20 years now but I need to retire them. The captain Brown are a close match to the color and the style is conducive to wearing to my new job. Just have to save up a while before I purchase. I would pair with jeans or khakis with a nice oxford, sweater or button-down. Very versatile!
Tan suede (or the brown leather) chelseas with black or distressed light wash jeans, white shirt, dark red and black flannel hoodie. We have harsh winters here in Western New York, so thanks for this video!!
Thank you for the another great video. I haven't got to apply much of the good advice you give, (I'm a ditch digger) but when i do, ever so often i feel confident of my appearance. I used feel out of place, "like a fish out of water." Now i embrace it and actually look forward to getting fancied up.☺
Love those Captain boots in dark brown. I'd pair them with some broken-in raw denim jeans and a vintage crew-neck sweatshirt or maybe some nice chinos and a button down. Also love the Wingtips in brandy.
I live in Alaska and only wear leather foot wear and do a lot of leather working and honestly all you need is a toothbrush and a can of Huberd's shoe grease its great for water proofing and oiling the leather no matter if it's shoes boots or belts plus it's the same recipe from 1921 so must be working
Duke | Honey Suede is absolutely my favorite boot of them all. I would pair them with dark wash jeans, an Anson belt (of course), an overcoat or a peak coat, a fall colors inspired square pattern scarf, and maybe a cool hat.
I love the Brown Duke Chelsea Boot from Thursday Boots. I would wear them with dark wash denim jeans and button down shirts for a smart-casual look. I would also dress them up a bit and pair them with my navy suit for a formal twist. I love Thursday boots and the classic dark brown chelsea boot is a must have for every man! Loved the video Antonio.
Great video as always Antonio. It's so hard to choose, they're all great looking boots, I'm so torn between the terracotta captains and the brown Dukes, but I think I'd have to go with the Dukes - can't beat a good chelsea boot. I'd wear them with my navy suit for work and on weekends with dark wash denim, a plain t-shirt and a dark brown leather jacket.
I found these winter converted Chelsea inspired boots. They have a zipper instead but it still looks like a Chelsea boots. It's been great for Canadian winter.
Nice video. You present a lot of quality thoughts on how to protect our boots and shoes from the “elements” we experience during Chicago winters. Keep up the good work!
I looked at Thursdayboots so often, they have such a really nice range of brown leather boots and also those shoes aren't overloaded with "bling bling", It's a clean and "minimalistic" look. But as a student on a budget and with the shipping and custom duty to Germany, I'm better off finding alternatives more closely to me, which actually is pretty hard I found out. If money wouldn't be a problem though, i already would have bought several pairs, especially the Scout | Honey Suede for spring or sumemr time or the Captain | Terracotta or the President | Grizzly Wheat for like autumm/ winter. The color tone of those are just so clean and i guess rich or satured are the best words to describe it. In Addition i feel like you can't really go wrong with wearing brownish boots, especially during autumm/winter.
Same thoughts as I have :) Also being German I settled for a nice pair of Floris van Bommel boots with a warm lining. The article number is 10751/06 if you are interested. Otherwise I can recommend the company Shoepassion. I own 2 pairs, no boots though. P.S. I hate watching RMRS, being introduced to great companys and than scared away by shipping and import taxes ... :/ All the best!
Shoepassion is great, i got all my shoe cleaning supplies and stretchers from them. But haven't bought shoes from them yet. I will look into the pair you suggested, thanks man! Yeah i know that feeling, it is the same with watches. But there i already found good affordable alternatives like Sternglas or if you like wood watches there's Holzkern
I really love my 2 pairs of shoepassion shoes ... great quality for a decent price. Are the shoe stretchers worth it? Kinda expensive and I have some cheap ones, though only with a small ball on the back side. For watches I am a fan of the minimalistic danish brand "Skagen". I am not a big fan of the often seen "the 5th watch" or "vincero".
For me they are worth it, cedar wood helps neutralizing the moistness and possible scents and i got the complete stretchers because i was concerned that the little knob some have may cause a bump in my good leather shoes :) So if you love minimalistic watches then you DEFINITELY should check out Sternglas^^ German watches in a bauhaus design and "hardware" wise you get a lot more then most 200€ watches offer.
Good that I get 1 shoe tree for free with my next order at shoepassion :) We'll see. Does Sternglas only have 6 types of watches? I like the general design but did not fell in love with any of the watches unfortunately... :(
the duke in brown leather (definitely no suede for winter), maroon knit turtleneck, military green cargo pants, charcoal trench coat would be an awesome color combination for the season
Hello Antonio, I have unfortunately ruined a good pair of boots before by trying to clean them up like I would any other pair of shoes, but now I'm sure I can get a new pair and take good care of them thanks to your video. I checked out thursdayboots and I would probably use the black scout boots for school. We have an uniform of a white polo shirt with the school logo, dark jeans and black shoes. It's very hard to stand out, so I use your tips to stand apart from others. For this winter I would use the black scout boots along with the dark blue skinny jeans, black belt, the white polo shirt, a gray sweater, and my black leather jacket. I use acessories to stand out, a dark brown bracelet on one wrist and a simple watch on the other.
My shoeshine box, for the record, is a big, blue plastic bucket. Inside are ZipLoc bags full of items for different colors: brushes, rags, cream & wax polishes. Currently, I have stuff for Black, Cordovan, and Neutral, plus another bag full of soaps & conditioners. AS for Neutral polish, it's worth noting that you can use it on top of other polishes as a top-coat, so that the color of your shoes won't rub off on, say, your pants. (I've become a convert to this practice.) They may also be your only choice if you can't match the color of your shoe, to the color of a polish.
I love the look of Tuesday Boot Co.'s Commander Blarney Stone. The could get me through the slushy, snowy Wisconsin winter in style, both office and casual; a definite purchase this fall.
I personally love the president|Brown boots. They are simple and sleek, i would wear them with jeans mostly (dark wash)and my navy suit once it gets to cold for dress shoes. I've seen Jose Zuniga talk about Thursday boots alot. I've been considering getting a pair for awhile, with winter and fall now here seems like a perfect option!
Your process is right on. I am a Navy vet and my three adult sons always bring home their shoes and boots for me to clean, condition, and shine. My shoes last forever because I take care of them. A bit of care goes a long way!
Hi Antonio. I'm loving the reviews and advise. Thanks for always sharing. I stay in South Africa - no real snow but definitely rainy summers. Sadly, we are not a country that deal in a lot of leather care products - so, its a slow struggle to get those awesome soaps/cleaners the USA has. Nonetheless, I do my best and follow your guidelines closely. Don't stop - Men need this channel. :-)
Purchasing the Captain in Natural. First time fashion boot wearer. I love their look and styles at Thursday Boot Co. I did not search for any other brand. Love at first sight.
Antonio, its because of you I found Thursday Boots 👍🏻 I own three pairs and more to come! They are a great Boot well made very comfortable and affordable !
I look at Thursday boots every week! I loovveee the president in brown but as a student my budget doesn't quite allow me to buy them (although I've been 1 click away from doing so a few times) My work outfit is usually chinos or jeans and a button down or polo and an nice pair of leather boots would really round out the look. I know it's a pretty simple outfit but it's what goes for my line of work and I'm still better dressed than almost anyone in my college classes
I'd love a pair of the honey suede chelsea boots. I've actually just ordered a pair of the wingtips in brandy, but I'd also like to add a suede pair of chelseas as they are more suited to my own style because they are more versatile in a casual setting and more generally just more tailored to a younger man's style. I already have a suede brush and cream product from my previous pair of suede boots, and of course I would be using these regularly to ensure a long lifespan for this wonderful pair of boots. Of course, I'd throw them on with a pair of jeans, black or dark wash (maybe even light wash) and a simple tee shirt (maybe with a nice crew neck sweater over the top) for a clean and timeless aesthetic suited to the weather here in Australia where it perhaps isn't so cold as up north.
Hello Antonio, Thank you for another excellent video. I am getting ready to spend winter in Michigan. A pair of Brown President boots would be a great addition to my wardrobe. The construction looks outstanding, I really appreciate good leather. My Red Wing boots don't quite fit in with an office job. These boots will be an excellent addition to the Navy Pea Coat I just ordered. The Goodyear Welt construction and studded rubber soles look great and will fit the bill for a winter in Ann Arbor. I have been faithfully reading and watching your blog for several years now. Thank you again for providing me with the insight for upgrading my style.
Redwing Iron Rangers - toothbrush/water for dirt if needed. Boot oil + horsehair brush to condition once weekly. Obenauf's LP as needed. All kept in a 50 cal ammo can.
I personally love the Scout Honey Suede Chukkas. They are so versatile, and I feel like at my age (21) they are not too formal or too casual. Just something in between. Great video idea keep it up.
I’ve been thinking about purchasing a pair of Thursday boots for months now. Although they’re affordable, I’m a pharmacy student and don’t have much extra money. I’d love to wear cognac chuckas with my business casual wear!
Hey Antonio, Im writing you from Minneapolis and you know how northern winters are - cold and snowy. This winter, I would wear a pair of Blarney Stone Commander's size 11.5 with a pair of light slim denim, a charcoal merino wool henley, and to top it off, a camel overcoat worn casually. This is a look I can wear to work and look stylish and functional all at the same time!
Antonio, I would definitely go for the captain in brown. It would go really well with my refined wardrobe and I would wear it with dark denim, shirt sweater combo, a peacoat with a scarf and a tweed flat cap
Antonio, After looking at Thursday Boots selection, I think their President in black would nicely complement my wardrobe. I can see myself wearing it often because of its simplicity and seamless integration with my jeans, chinos, or trousers. Also, it would pair pretty well with the new Camel Polo overcoat I recently ordered at Macy's. Furthermore, I like the fact that it doesn't have a cap toe (which seems to be the only differentiation between the President and Captain) because it complements the sleek design I am looking for. Finally, the studded rubber out-sole will let me tread through the University of Michigan's campus in the winter. I believe you, Aaron, and the others have said it multiple times, "staple pieces first". Right now, I am ready to start investing in more quality pieces, which makes the President a solid fundamental piece.
Great video and thanks! Your story was right in the feels. I love my boots and dont want them to get destroyed. Chelsea boots and black jeans is my go to style.
I love the Duke in Honey Suede! I like all of Thursday's boots, but as a student they are a bit out of my price range. Being Suede, I don't think I'd wear these formally. However, I would like to match these boots with dark jeans or chinos. If I'm feeling like making the outfit a little more fun, then I'd make the chinos red, olive, or navy. An earth-tone v-neck sweater would tie things together perfectly!
I would make the Terracotta Captain boots the center of my outfits. They would go pretty well with most of my outfits such as some nice jeans with a button up or v-neck t-shirt. Since winter is coming I think they would look great with my peacoat and bomber jackets. I’ve been trying to up my style game and recently bought some chinos and the Terracotta Captain boots would definitely be a great match with them.
Thursday boots are 🔥. I’m saving up for a pair of Chelsea boots because I feel like they go with everything. Also, I’m from Leon Guanajuato, so I have to represent. Great video.
I just cannot wait to buy myself a second sports jacket so I can look sharp more often and not just on events ! :) Love the channel from Czech republic
I would choose the Scout model in the brown leather in a size 8. I would pair this with dark wash jeans or dress slacks, in addition I would wear a mock neck sweater with an oxford shirt underneath. This would provide a nice look that would work for a work or casual environment. I would take care of them by using the honey leather conditioning and a sapphir dark brown wax polish to keep their beauty as it was when I received them while adding a bit more weather protection.
Bonjour Antonio, I could use Commander | Blarney Stone for style and usage in my neck of the woods, as winter is coming to Canada, lots of salt, snow and freezing ice, but with these boots matched to a pair of dark wash jeans I could go for long walks with the dog.
I'd wear the brown Scout with grey wool pants & a black merino-wool turtleneck. I'd round the look off with a cashmere/wool camel overcoat, brown leather gloves and a gold watch from Deutsche Uhrenfabrik. Great video as always!
I have good boots that have served their time and are ready to be replaced. I would love to have the grizzly brown president boot, the problem is that I am a student in Germany and it’s complicated to get them here. I would weir them with jeans most of the time. Thank you for making such good content.
I bought myself a pair of Thursday Boot Duke (chelsea) and I’m on my second winter season. I love them so much and I get compliments all the time. Thank you Antonio for the cleaning guide because I just noticed salt marks yesterday (argh the enemy!!) I wear these everyday with corduroy pants, shawl collar sweater, wool socks and driver cap. For a special date, I just swap bottom with a dark raw selvedge denim (cuffed). My only complaint is that the color and fit is not consistent. My first pair came with one boot tighter than the other. Thursday immediately sent me a replacement which fit fine but then the second pair came in two shade. One is one shade lighter than the other. No one notice it until I point it out. Does anyone know whether or not different shades is normal? and is it a good sign of handmade quality?
Hey Antonio! Sad story: I don't a big money income. I love boots, I got in my wardrobe a pair of wingtipd chealce, a pair of chukkas, and a pair of dress boots.I always buy them on Goodwill stores or on Sale. Sadly, haven't spend more of $40 bucks on shoes. 5 months ago, y bulled a pair of combat boots for a Bible teaching campaign deep in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. And every day I gave them cleaning which pumpkin soap (that's what I have here) and polish. I beat up the soil, so I send them repair, 3 weeks later, the leather started to fall apart. So I give it to a boy I met in the campaign. I will come back in one week to keep teaching in SLP. So I had to send to repair another pair of beat up boots. Please, I'd love to have a pair of Captain boots, I just love the style! And I promise, that if you send me a pair, I will treat them as they deserve. Saddle soap, conditioners and polish. Hope I deserve them. Have a good day!
Great video ! I own a pair of the Natural captains, and use the neutral venetian leather balm recommended by Thursday Boots. It does a pretty good job, but this video gave me a way better understanding of the complete process of taking care of boots.
Real Men Real Style I keep it simple, slim fit dark wash jeans from topman or mottt and bow, plaid shirts in complimentary colors, and a cardigan or crew neck sweater, for outdoors i throw on a pea coat or a woolen mid length coat almost like a field jacket. Also some patterned socks. Many of these outfits are inspired from your videos and recommendations, thanks for all the great videos !
Starting to rebuild my winter wardrobe, winters here in Seattle are no joke but man would it be nice to have a pair of the captain in brown to take on this bad weather. They would go great with my faded blue jeans, new light weight burgundy v neck sweater and black pea cote.
The black wing tip boots would go nice with my leather jacket. I wear a grey hoodie under my jacket and a dark blue shade of denimn. I also wear funky and fun socks.
I'd get the captain midnight suede and brown. I have a leather jacket my grandfather bought while he was in the navy in his 20s that still looks good to this day, then throw on some chinos or a nice pair of jeans
I would probably go with the scout in whiskey. Most of my casual dress shoes are burgundy so that would add a bit more color to casual outfits. And in winter I think they would pair well with some of my heavier wool slacks and corduroys. Care is easy for me, I have a wide range of polish and cleaners built up over the years, though for rejuvenation I prefer Olive oil. I have been using it for years on motorcycle jackets and it is absorbed better and lasts longer than petroleum based products in my experience and is much better at restoring damaged leather than animal fat based products. Other than that is the basics of keep them clean, away from dogs and children, and away from high heat sources.
That black wingtip boot , I would style it with some fitting black jeans , a black crew neck and break all the colors with a great grey scarf. The brown chelsea boots with some grey wool/flannel trousers , a cool green long sleeved henley or a crewneck sweater and a grey winter hat. The midnight blue chukka is definetely my favorite one , I would pair it with some grey denim jeans , grey henley/crewneck and a black overcoat with a grey scarf. The black wingtip I would take care with polish and probably wear it when it's a heavier weather , same goes for the chelsea boots while the midnight chukka I would take care with the brush you mentioned earlier. I would use polish probably every 4 months and conditioner a lot more frequently especially when it snows.
I love their Chelsea Boots in chocolate brown. Ever since I started watching your videos Antonio, I've started wearing more dark brown and oxblood shoes compared to black. I think the chocolate brown goes well with my skin complexion as an Asian male. I would definitely wear Chocolate Chelsea boots with a navy suit and a white basket weave dress shirt. I would wear a dark texture tie in yellow to go with my complexion. Lastly I wear prescription glasses so I would wear my tortoise shell wayfarer style glasses to finish the look.
Real Men Real Style Antonio! I am from Gulfport, MS but living in Mobile, AL for school right now! The weather down here is always humid and the winters are chilly but never too freezing. I discovered your channel about 4 years ago in 2013 when I decided to improve my style to become more professional. I am a big guy and I really did not know what to wear to make myself look good with my rotund figure. Since then I've become known as the guy who dresses well and it's really all thanks to you! Your advice really helped me with acquiring internships, jobs, and women! So thank you for putting out these videos and helping guys like me become amazing men!
The Duke in honey suede is a beautiful boot - one that I would like to own but can't quite afford. These boots would look great with some dark wash jeans, a white dress shirt, and a brown vneck sweater. To dress them down a little bit, I have a great white tee shirt and black casual zipped jacket that would work really well. Of course the outfit wouldn't be complete without a great watch!
Great video and info thanks Antonio 👍Really like the scout midnight blue with dark denim and long sleeve gray Henley. For suede I use spray conditioner and protectant and shampoo them once a while when dirty.
I've been looking at the Duke Honey Suede (size 8.5) for their color and the weather proof feature. I'd pair them with slim dark wash jeans and an off white henley . Then I'd layer with either my khaki trucker or Harrington jacket.
This one's saved...what great info! Thank you much, Antonio! And honestly, how could you go *wrong* with the presidential boot? That thing is just flat out beautiful and versatile! 😍
Real Men Real Style - first, I'd start with the brown presidential, since it's a little darker and can be more versatile. From there, I would mostly build with three basic items...brown leather belt, brown leather watch, and blue jeans. Put on a green tee and stylish gray hoodie. Good for casual running around town for errands or meeting for lunch. Or swap out for a light colored Henley and a down filled vest, and you're good for being outdoors in the fall. Throw on darker wash jeans and a lighter color button down with the sleeves rolled up, and you're good for dinner and drinks. Might even be able to pull these off with office casual for work...hard to tell for sure whether they're too bulky for dress pants from the pics, but I suspect not. Guess I need to get some and find out. 😂
Got myself a pair of Thursday Captain and they look and feel high quality, but too narrow for my feet. I also didn't like how easy they getting scuffed when I was trying to break them at home.
For my upcoming training/job interview with Finnair (Finnish airline) I would wear the following: dark blue denim jeans, brogue leather belt in wallnut, grey dress shirt and well fitted light brown sports jacket with a dark blue pocket square. For shoes are the finishing touch of any outfit and it is important to complete a look with a perfect pair, my boot of choice would be a pair of Grissley wheat presidents. Of course to be taken care weekly with thorough cleaning with a brush and conditioner, then polished with a wool sock.
Real Men Real Style I am grateful that you took the time from your busy schedule to answer. I have learnt so much from your chanel and because of you I'm paying attention to what I'm wearing.

As much as I
greatly adore suede variations, it shouldn't be the material of your 1st pair of boots, more so in freezing and wet Lithuanian winters.
As to the styling variations, I believe I could achieve a great smart-casual winter look with this combination: a great pair of raw denim, white oxford shirt, dark green v-neck sweater ( a possible casual tie with a casual knot?).
Hi Antonio,
I really like their Captain in black.
Real Men Real Style - Hello brother Anthony, in the next four to six months I'm looking to purchase the following ThursdayBoots:
Captain | Dark Olive Suede
Captain | Midnight Suede & Brown
Antonio, what is your opinion on using protection such as never wet on boots?
Ever since I was a soldier I was a veteran of the Royal Irish for 27 years
We have had look after your boots and they will look after you .
We always used kiwi polish and kiwi dubbin some times neets oil when in winter ops but getting a shine was hard work when we were RTUed but it was always kiwi espesily for Bulling (spit shine) but when bulling we always used bees wax on our best boot even some times they cracked out with a hot spoon and smooth out the crack but Working boots i always waterproof the leather with dubbin let them dry and polish them up with a bulled toe cap
And have continued in to my civie life no matter the price always have a shine on my shoes or boots and use nubuck kit to waterproof them and use a swade brush
Today I receive my first boot so far I love it. I cannot wait to wear it this Thanksgiving weekend.
Great video Antonio, best comprehensive overview on the subject of boot maintenance on youtube.
Wiseguy724 - I'd love to know more about you. Where are you from? How did you find this channel?
So glad you love the boots :)! We loved hearing your feedback!
Captain, cuffed Levi’s 511s in denim, and of course top it off with a red/black flannel over a black sweatshirt. Perfect fall fit
Like on hangers or shelves
How and when to wash different pieces of clothing?
Luke - I'd love to know more about you. Where are you from? How did you find this channel?
I have a pair of roughout leather suede Captain's from Thursday and I feel like I never want to wear anything else again. Highly recommend!
I know, right? How do you combine the suede boots with your outfit?
Great video as always Antonio. It's so hard to choose, they're all great looking boots, I'm so torn between the terracotta captains and the brown Dukes, but I think I'd have to go with the Dukes - can't beat a good chelsea boot. I'd wear them with my navy suit for work and on weekends with dark wash denim, a plain t-shirt and a dark brown leather jacket.
I really like all of the styles but I really like the look of that midnight blue chukka. It’s gorgeous
I do too!
All the best!
For me they are worth it, cedar wood helps neutralizing the moistness and possible scents and i got the complete stretchers because i was concerned that the little knob some have may cause a bump in my good leather shoes :)
So if you love minimalistic watches then you DEFINITELY should check out Sternglas^^ German watches in a bauhaus design and "hardware" wise you get a lot more then most 200€ watches offer.
Good that I get 1 shoe tree for free with my next order at shoepassion :) We'll see.
Does Sternglas only have 6 types of watches? I like the general design but did not fell in love with any of the watches unfortunately... :(
Now I won’t scuff my steel toes! Thanks buddy!
Thursday boots really do seem like something anyone could be dreaming of.
Too bad they do not have a warehouse in EU. :(
The Brown Captains are absolute fire even in the snow
the duke in brown leather (definitely no suede for winter), maroon knit turtleneck, military green cargo pants, charcoal trench coat would be an awesome color combination for the season
I use a nylon-stocking to polish my shoes. It makes a super high shine finish, with almost no 'treatment/polish/wax'.
I fell out of watching your videos for a while but I’m glad to see that they’re just as good as when I left!
Welcome back Devon! What's your favorite boot style?
Hello Antonio,
I have unfortunately ruined a good pair of boots before by trying to clean them up like I would any other pair of shoes, but now I'm sure I can get a new pair and take good care of them thanks to your video.
One of your most informative videos in my opinion!
Appreciate it - thank you sir!
Thanks Antonio ,got me a pair and I don’t have any regrets
Which style did you buy?
I haven’t even bought these yet and I know they are wonderful been saving up to try n get a pair
:-)
Like always, GREAT stuff!!! Thursday boot Co here I come.
Purchasing the Captain in Natural. First time fashion boot wearer. I love their look and styles at Thursday Boot Co. I did not search for any other brand. Love at first sight.
Looking forward to having you a part of the Team!
Antonio, its because of you I found Thursday Boots 👍🏻
I own three pairs and more to come!
Just ordered my 1st pair of Thursday boots today!!!! Brandy wingtips and looking forward to my 2nd pair soon!!!
Awesome!
Watching all these tips make me want to add a pair of black Chelseas to my wardrobe. For once I’m happy it doesn’t snow down here in Texas.
Go for it!
I personally love the Scout Honey Suede Chukkas. They are so versatile, and I feel like at my age (21) they are not too formal or too casual. Just something in between. Great video idea keep it up.
Kuba - I like Chukka boots as well/
I’ve been thinking about purchasing a pair of Thursday boots for months now. Although they’re affordable, I’m a pharmacy student and don’t have much extra money. I’d love to wear cognac chuckas with my business casual wear!
Hey Antonio,
Im writing you from Minneapolis and you know how northern winters are - cold and snowy.
Antonio,
After looking at Thursday Boots selection, I think their President in black would nicely complement my wardrobe.
Exactly - Invest in core pieces! :)
Good old Thursday Boots!
Great video and thanks! Your story was right in the feels. I love my boots and dont want them to get destroyed. Chelsea boots and black jeans is my go to style.
Welcome!
Alejandro! Sounds like the Terracotta would be a great fit for your wardrobe. Looking forward to having you a part of the Team!
Thursday boots are 🔥. I’m saving up for a pair of Chelsea boots because I feel like they go with everything. Also, I’m from Leon Guanajuato, so I have to represent. Great video.
So great! We hope you love your new boots!
I think I would pair the Captains brown with a dark wash jean, with a Oxford and cardigan. That is what I would wear if I got Thursday Boots.
Bonjour Antonio, I could use Commander | Blarney Stone for style and usage in my neck of the woods, as winter is coming to Canada, lots of salt, snow and freezing ice, but with these boots matched to a pair of dark wash jeans I could go for long walks with the dog.
Awesome ! Was waiting for this video! On spot at the right time!
Love the Chelsea boots in suede from Thursday!
This was perfect, thank you for approaching this issue 🙏
Nice overall view on taking care of leather shoes! Especially with winter on its way since salt is deadly for leather.
I'd wear the brown Scout with grey wool pants & a black merino-wool turtleneck. I'd round the look off with a cashmere/wool camel overcoat, brown leather gloves and a gold watch from Deutsche Uhrenfabrik.
Great video as always!
Whodatnation - I'd love to know more about you. Where are you from? How did you find this channel?
This is one of the most helpful video you've put out
thanks a lot
I would love to have a honey suede scout. I’m a student, and it’s a very versatile shoe for casual outfits so it would fit my lifestyle super well
Hey Antonio!
I’d get the brown president, I love that look! I would wear dark denim flannel shirt and a field jacket
Great video ! I own a pair of the Natural captains, and use the neutral venetian leather balm recommended by Thursday Boots. It does a pretty good job, but this video gave me a way better understanding of the complete process of taking care of boots.
Super! How do you combine the Natural captains?
Real Men Real Style I keep it simple, slim fit dark wash jeans from topman or mottt and bow, plaid shirts in complimentary colors, and a cardigan or crew neck sweater, for outdoors i throw on a pea coat or a woolen mid length coat almost like a field jacket. Also some patterned socks. Many of these outfits are inspired from your videos and recommendations, thanks for all the great videos !
With your usual good content i don't mind the ads but don't push it too much
Starting to rebuild my winter wardrobe, winters here in Seattle are no joke but man would it be nice to have a pair of the captain in brown to take on this bad weather. They would go great with my faded blue jeans, new light weight burgundy v neck sweater and black pea cote.
For sure!
The black wing tip boots would go nice with my leather jacket. I wear a grey hoodie under my jacket and a dark blue shade of denimn. I also wear funky and fun socks.
For sure!
Antonio! Wingtip Brown! I need that peaky blinder aesthetic. I would clean them with a high preasure garden hose and dry them with a blow dryer.
I'd get the captain midnight suede and brown. I have a leather jacket my grandfather bought while he was in the navy in his 20s that still looks good to this day, then throw on some chinos or a nice pair of jeans
I would definitely take the Dukes in black please!!!
Wear them with primary in jeans preferbally darker blue, indigo or black. Medium blue or grey you cannot go wrong with either.
Great outfits!
Vĩ Nguyễn thank you friend!
It's just a great selection of boots , loved them. I really like chukka and Chelsea boots !!
Which is your favorite?
Real Men Real Style Chelsea any day .
Thursday Boots needs to make a Western Boot!
Bryan - I'd love to know more about you. Where are you from? How did you find this channel?
So in-depth!! Lovely video!
Thank you Raphael?
Great video and info thanks Antonio 👍Really like the scout midnight blue with dark denim and long sleeve gray Henley. For suede I use spray conditioner and protectant and shampoo them once a while when dirty.
Good tip here Ricardo.
Bought a suede brush and kiwi silicone spray for my new Chelsea's...
How would you combine it Pie Eyed Spides?
Mikael - I like the combo!
Real Men Real Style I am grateful that you took the time from your busy schedule to answer. I have learnt so much from your chanel and because of you I'm paying attention to what I'm wearing.
