Probably my favourite violinist of the current day
I can feel sense of freedom in her play. Clara inspires me. She really is my artist.

Not True! Come on! Clara Jumi Kang was 4th prize winner weak Tchaikovsky competition! The Best Sibelius concerto players are Really Guila Bustabo( The Queen Tiger!) Viktor Tretjakov(The King Sibelius!) Itzak Perlman Myriam Fried Gidon Kremer(live hurricane version not his recordings!!)

After listening to this I have only suparlatives for Clara-Jumi Kangs playing and also for this wonderful orchestra. Clara-Jumis playing is so intense, but with also a intimacy in her playing I seldom heard before. She is a real master in treating her violin. An effort and a passion that I can see in her face and in her moves. The result is amazing!
As I see it, Clara-Jumi is playing near the edge of what is possible. With her playing she sets a new standard how to play this music. I am so grateful.

The Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47, by Jean Sibelius stands out in particular for its dark and mineral atmospheres. It is the composer's only concerto, one of his most performed works, and one of the great violin concertos of the 20th century. This piece was not an immediate success among 20th-century European audiences. However, today it is one of the most recorded and considered one of the most difficult in the violin repertoire. A virtuoso piece, a passionate violin recitation, its innovative and lyrical aspect stands out from the first listen. It's a really powerful work, it's also very delicate and beautiful to desired. Sibelius was a violinist who desperately wanted to be a performer, and when that wasn't the case for him, he became a composer. You have to imagine the passion that someone can have for their instrument, they write a work that they would like to play, but it will have its own life. There's a dark undercurrent, but there's also a lightness just waiting to come out and get up. Sibelius is truly creative in many ways in this concerto. In the first movement by example, he adds cadence to the composition, and at that time not everyone did that. So you really hear the solo violin as the composer intended, which is very revealing when you listen to the entire work. *Lucien*

Aquí; han venido intérpretes del violin que son la maravilla de solistas y todos, han admirado la capacidad interpretativa de la OSG. Si una orquesta tiene un mal día, le arruina la velada al solista, pero en el caso de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, esta, hace más grandes a los músicos invitados.
Orchestra eccellente magistralmente diretta e Clara Jumi Kang, violinista fuoriclasse.

She ripped that violin to shreds and it did not break. I like her outfit too. The orchestra is dressed casually as some Russian orchestras sometimes do. I think the encore was even better than the Sibelius - awesomely impressive.

Interpretación muy solvente pero con un sonido un tanto metálico que no maravilla. Casualmente la HR. Synfonie de Frankfurt subió por las mismas fechas este concierto teniendo como solista a la divina Julia Fischer. Interesante comparar estas dos versiones y apreciar la fantástica redondez, calidez y expresividad de la alemana.
