i’m really enjoying Thor. There’s a lot of dialogue, so out of all the books i’m reading it takes the longest to read, but I like it. It really taps into Norse Mythology so anybody who’s into that stuff will like it.
You know, I'm not a huge FF fan, but I read a couple of those Ryan North FF books (got them real cheap) and actually enjoyed the books. The stories were more episodic in nature and the art was good. Not the typical FF stories at all, but the change of pace was actually refreshing. Still wouldn't pay cover price for them, but if I see them cheap, I'll pick up other issues in North's run. Like that "Venom" homage cover. Pretty cool, but I don't like Ewing's work on the book, so will not be picking up any of that run. I love how you pronounce "Amazo". I've always heard it said, "A-MAZE-O", but you have your own way of saying it, which is interesting. I remember "CyberForce"! If that was a new on-going, I'd probably check it out, but not into the one-shot action. "Popeye" looks like good, zany fun. I think kids may love that one (I always enjoyed watching the cartoon as a kid). Thanks for the previews, Slayer! You are the best.
I think we should keep an eye out for the new Powerpuff Girls book by Kelly Thompson from Dynamite. Dynamite has become one of the companies I am buying the most from in 2024. Love Space Ghost and Thundercats so far. Cannot wait for Powerpuff Girls this month and Jonny Quest in August.
X-men 1 was OK, it missed a few marks, but wasn’t bad. Plan to stick with the series for now. The JSC covers are a big + ! Geiger was really good this week!!!
Coke and Marvel had some sort of promotional agreement where Coke put Marvel characters on their bottles and cans and Marvel featured Coke on some covers. Will pick up X-Men 2 if for nothing else the Magik Campbell cover. Thought issue one story was good, art was a little off for me.
I started out reading and liking Immortal Thor! However, I dropped it around issue 12 because it just made no sense at all. I really don't enjoy this series and I will not be continuing it.
I feel like so far and this is just me it takes time for his stories to develop but then they get pretty good. Also I think he does better with a couple of characters then a team
I’ve been reading his older moon knight stuff on digital and it’s pretty good so I think you’re right maybe he’s just not really a team book guy. Again haven’t hated anything he’s written? Just my thoughts 💭

I skipped X men 1. Seems fine. Jed’s writing has a wierd dull quality for me where I just can’t really hate or love it. Maybe it’s just me 🤷♂️
