Well said Mr. White , I’ve known Sam over 30 years. You hit it on the nail , he’s become very prideful and arrogant. His anger towards Protestants is beyond my understanding. I seen a video of him praying the rosary, attacking Protestants and I was amazed to see it . Because I went to his Bible classes for over 10 years. He taught me sound theology. To see him defending the Catholic beliefs is insane .

Historically, the early Church is Catholic, even claimed itself to be Catholic (katolikon), the apostles creed as an example. Intercession of the saints? Historically, Christians in the early Church absolutely agreed on this, Hermas fron 80 ad said an angel intercedes for him, hymns for the Mother of God in it's amount is not countable, the canon of scriptures was canonized in the 3rd century, by the Church, the very Church which already believed the intercession of the saints and the Eucharist being truly the body and blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ, and many more sound apostolic Churches theology, it's undeniable, and I do believe Sam found out about these things in the early Church, and remember, Matthew 16:18 promises the Church to not be upon death, what's the Church? Matthew 18:15-17 explains it in a very communal sense, being having the ability to literally excommunicate people it considered as a gentile after not receiving advises, which is very similar to councils being made by the Church
What did it for me,being raised RCC making it to confirmation was there is no power in Confession to a priest,unless it is to the High Preist and Advocate Jesus Christ

Sola Scriptura is held just by protestants, who are considered heretic by the large majority of Christians. It is a doctrine developed in the 16th century and it is not held by none of the ancient Christian Churches...so, no. This is not a core doctrine of Christianity and leads astray from truth. Many would consider J.white as a representative of the worst of heresies, which is Calvinism.
So to me Sam coming back to true Christianity is a very good thing.
Although I love my protestant brothers and sisters in Christ, some of their denominations are very far away from the Apostolic deposit of faith.

@@jusmyself2033 no, I repeat and clarify, the Bible IS the inspired word of God, but the authority to teach and preach is given to the Church, whom belongs the deposit of faith. If you leave the Scriptures to the interpretation of anyone, you risk butchering its meaning. Therefore I can confidentially say sola scriptura is not a core doctrine of Christianity, especially because Jesus did not give a book to His disciples, but a Church.
Sam can recite verses like nobody I've seen, he knows it like a dictionary or encyclopedia. He has no fruit of the spirit though, angry, dismissive, insulting and arrogant behavior are signs of someone who doesn't have the Holy Spirit. I've noticed the same behavior in Catholic priests, they know scripture as if it's a dictionary, but are lacking it's power.

God used Sam to show me some things because he does use who he wills and he’s also used him to convert others. All Glory to Christ . However, Sam is not filled with the Holy Spirit now. Quiet evident when you read Galatians 5:22 fruits of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Sadly Sams not the only one many preaching Jesus out there preach the intellectual biblical knowledge. but aren’t spirit filled and then misinterpret scripture and mislead. I was reprimanded once by Sam. My immediate response was to feel humiliated and hurt. It took me a bit to humble myself. It was what I needed. Ive not had a problem since and I've learned more with Sam then anywhere.
Why does James White focus on how Sam Shamoun says things and not what he says? He called out White for taking the scriptures out of context and watering down the teachings of Islam, which is accurate. The truth should be the focus here, not Shamoun's personal problems.

Throughout the years I never understood why Hassamo aka Sam Shamoun disrespected and cursed James White. I’ve started to realise he’s jealous and will never even come close to the knowledge and decency that James White has. Even though we Muslims may have our disagreements with James White we *never* disrespect him and degrade him
Sam is the assyrian encyclopedia. Full of knowledge who purs his knowledge on to others. He has had formal debates and informal debates and has crushed his opponent's. Yes he gets angry. But i live him for his knowledge and honesty.
