8:41 Minute video on "How Long does it take for Documentary Complete Case to be scheduled a visa interview?" Answer: Embassy backlogged, we don't know. You're welcome
With the backlogs in mind they should make it easier for families to reunite and have a backup plan in case this thing like Covid should GOD forbid ever happen again. Families shouldn't have to wait this long to be with their loved ones. Its heartbreaking not to be with them. I pray for all families to be together soon.
There in Nigeria they’re so behind! My husband and children were DQ 25 May 2022, our Priority date 3 April 2021… This is very upsetting! My husband and I are near the brink of giving up. It’s too dangerous for me to move there… I’ve spent so much money to get all this to happen, and my God… they should let family IR1/IR2 go first… not all these workers and school people. Family should come first
@obiorarhoda848 I truly understand.... my hubby is also feeling the same way.... its frustrating and we are not getting any younger...... the idiots know who they are and know what they're doing.... keep hope alive and stay doing something in the meantime 👊
Hoping that we USCIS can go back to Pre-Pandemic timelines. Less than 6 months for K-1 visas. We waited 14.5 months for USCIS approval and now another wait time for NVC to receive and create a case for us, and after that, another wait time for US Embassy interview. So much waiting.
We waited exactly 13 months for k1 visa application approval. My Fiancé interview appt at the embassy was on November 27th. Medical Dec 6th. We returned the passport to the embassy after the medical was done. It was received by the embassy on December 15th, 2023. Now we're waiting for the visa and sealed documents so he can travel to the U.S. We are very thankful, but it's been a very long process. 17 months later hopefully we will recurred visa soon.
This lapse by these embassies are.costing serious relationship issues and misunderstanding and some of us are mentally effected. Such a shame that they don't empathise with the situation.
This is so True they don't have no empathize my husband life is in danger and I have a disabled son that I need help with my husband got stab he did not call the police because they are corrupt I try to expedite and no luck
Hi, my Ghana wife has been documentarily complete since August 24, 2020. Why is there no information about the Accra, Ghana U.S. Embassy? It would be good to know if they are actually scheduling any interviews at all for I140 applications.
I understand your concern regarding the lack of information about the Accra, Ghana U.S. Embassy and whether they are scheduling interviews for I140 applications. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many U.S. Embassies and Consulates have been operating at limited capacity, which has resulted in delays in visa processing and interviews. It is important to note that the U.S. Embassy in Accra, Ghana has been conducting a limited number of visa interviews, including for certain categories of immigrant and non-immigrant visas, in accordance with local health and safety guidelines. However, the availability of visa interview appointments may vary based on the Embassy's staffing and operational capacity, as well as any local or regional COVID-19 restrictions Feel free to contact me if you need some help: Text Me: at 619-483-4549 to book a consultation OR Click on the Links Below: 🗓 calendly.com/jacobsapochnick www.immigrationu.com/ www.h1b.biz/contact-us Quiz: info.h1b.biz/standard-immigration-quiz
My husband's CR-1 interview will be at the U.S. Embassy in Montreal. We were documentarily qualified on July 20th, 2023. On the U.S. consulate site for Canada it states...As of August 3rd, 2023, they are currently setting up interviews for Immediate Relative cases that were documentarily complete in June 2023 and before that in July it stated they were scheduling for cases documentarily qualified in May 2023. Looks like they are moving fast so hoping we will get an interview date soon. I am glad they give a general idea on wait times so people are not left waiting in uncertainty😊
hello attorney jacob, my case was documentarily qualified in april this year, but i havent heard from nvc about interview for my wife petition in nepal. this is a very frustrating wait and we havent seen each other for long time. as being a us citizen, they should have prioritized my case as i have heard. please do help me with an appropriate answer. regards
Hello! My interview is also yet to be scheduled my documents have been qualified 2 months ago and I am from Nepal. Can you tell me if your interview has been scheduled or not?
This was helpful. Because our attorney fighting for our visas in Brazil isn't giving how long the entire process is going to take. And my husband is a Brazilian.
Why is it that the NVC states the embassy sends open slots but you say the NVC sends the embassy the case to book. Can you clarify which direction this goes?
Generally, the NVC will send the approved immigrant visa petition to the appropriate U.S. embassy or consulate abroad, and it is the embassy's responsibility to schedule and conduct the immigrant visa interview. While some embassies may request available appointment slots from the NVC, ultimately it is the embassy that decides how and when to allocate appointment slots based on its own capacity and operational requirements. The specific procedures may vary depending on the embassy and the circumstances of the case. @@SanDiegoImmigrationlawyer The embassy is saying the opposite. Putting it on NVC and NVC is saying they wait on the embassy. Both have responded back to our online inquiry and they contradict each other. As a matter of NVC has stated in multiple emails they will hold our case until the Lagos Embassy notifies them of open slots. So they have or are not going to foward the case it seems. This seems very stuck and what is actually going on. Is the case just sitting idol now.
I don’t see why attorneys with many cases can’t just monitor their cases (x amount in this embassy, z amount in this one) and track dates to provide an estimate of interview scheduling per consulate. I’m sure it’s a spreadsheet 101 kind of thing. I’m sure it’s gold information that you can at least provide to your clients (for your consulate and your category, we are averaging a waiting time of x). Since it’s treated as a fifo line it should be straightforward.
We have been married with my husband since I was 18 have been waiting over 3years to reunite with my husband. It’s a heartbreaking to me. Life is so hard without him. The document has been waiting for over 8months after NVC sent qualified notice 😢. I’m tired and heartbroken 😭
Thanks for your info. My question is, why are there no movement for family petition I-130 F3 worldwide visa bulletin? that is ,no movement for almost 3yrs now? And when will there be a movement for I-130 f3 visa bulletin family base petition.? What we are hearing is no movement and no movement. and why is it that Employment base is faster and also they have movement every month
@@stellaonyekaba5439 Yeah exactly dear I think the family petition I130 should be faster than any other one but they are giving priority to visitors and those going to study than us families I had my last letter from the NVC that they have received all my documents since March I have been waiting for my interview date it's really frustrating
Why are they not held liable to keep the time frames to the 30-60 days when they have access to computers so the counselors can process and do "virtual interviews" The is a better more efficient way to grant these interviews so they should be held responsible for efficient processing since we have already paid to be processy
Good morning sir I filed inquiry the uscis emailed me you would get decision within two months after this eamil the tor months already passed it is 15 days more no answer
Hi please I have question My case was filled on February 7,2022 California service center and the approval notice from uscis was on April 20, 2023 and now my case is in transit since July 18, 2023 till now when should I expected to be ready please on your experience embassy is cairo Egypt ???
I been documentaryly qualified since may 10, 2022..going 10 months now...when can are be expecting interview to be schedule..I'm in liberia..IR1 case...we hv paid all fees..
Hello. Im IR1 case, I just approved last March 05,2023 and we just paid our fees and sent our documents still waiting for our Documentary Qualified how long does it take to wait for our DQ? Thankyou.
I paid for my DS-260 and still waiting for NVC for my interview since two months now. I’m tired and sick of waiting all the time. Why does it keep long here in Ghana?
Hi Jacob! Filed concurrently AOS & I-140 in Dec 2022 opted for Premium Processing in early Jan 2023 got approved in 6 days. On Feb 8 case was transferred to National Benefits Center. No biometrics notice at present People I know of got theirs several weeks after. It has been more than 90 days. Should there be a reason to worry? Thanks!
Hi Jacob. Is it true that NVC will only send a documentarily qualified immigration case to a U.S. embassy if the priority date of the case is CURRENT? The Rest of the World (ROW) column in the visa bulletin should really be broken down by specific country or this information should be made available online. Otherwise, it is like trying to shoot a target in a pitch-black room wearing a blindfold.
This is not acceptable! There is no process by NVC! They're falling further behind every month. If more people are needed then hire more. It's that simple. I am so upset with NVC it's not remotely funny! For over two years I asked them one simple question and NEVER got an answer. I waited on their phone line on "hold" for over an hour multiple times. What are we supposed to do?
My case was documented approved by nvc in 25 august 2022 and my case category is IR-1 till now i haven’t got any email for interview scheduled please help me how can i know where is my case is, because still I don’t know that my case transferred in us embassy islamabad or not? Or when i got my email for interview scheduled? Please reply
Hi jacob, Our DQ is 4 February 2020.but they not give our interview date yet.others people getting interview date who's documents are qualified in may 2 2020. What should we do. We sent public inquiry. They reply next available date. But It's going like this 4 months
Yes, in most cases, an immigrant visa cannot be issued until the beneficiary's priority date becomes current. The priority date is the date on which the immigrant visa petition was filed on behalf of the beneficiary. The cut-off date is determined by the Department of State's Visa Bulletin and depends on the beneficiary's country of origin, the visa category, and the number of available visas.

How long does it normally take for NVC to make your case documentarily complete? I applied for my daughter who is over 21 in February on 2017. Her case was already uploaded to the CEAC platform and we’re just waiting for them to contact us about fees and documents etc. Thanks
I can tell you that the National Visa Center (NVC) generally takes several months to review and process the documents submitted in support of a visa application. The length of time it takes for the NVC to make a case documentarily complete can vary depending on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the accuracy and completeness of the documents submitted, and the volume of cases currently being processed by the NVC. In your case, if you applied for your daughter who is over 21 in February 2017 and her case was already uploaded to the CEAC platform, it is possible that the NVC is currently reviewing your daughter's case and determining what additional documents and fees are required. However, it is difficult to determine the exact timeline for completion without further information on the specifics of your case. Likewise myself, my mom filed for me around that same time and we are still awaiting to upload documents and make payments on CEAC seeing that they sent the information to log in. Very depressing
I was DQed for EB2 visa a few days ago. I do not mind if the interview will be scheduled in December. But my question is: when will I receive an email telling me about the booked slot of my interview? is it after 1-2 weeks or more? I live in Malaysia where I expect there is no backlog.
I would recommend checking the U.S. Embassy or Consulate's website regularly for updates on visa processing and interview schedules. How long should it take from the time USCIS receives your original documents before you will hear anything from them…3 and a half months so far and not 1 word, except they cashed my check.
Processing times can vary based on the type of immigration application and the USCIS Service Center processing the case. However, if it has been over three and a half months since USCIS received your original documents and you have not received any communication from them, it may be appropriate to follow up with USCIS to inquire about the status of your case. You can check the current processing times on the USCIS website and contact their customer service line or schedule an InfoPass appointment for more information.
Thanks for informatives video.Question, USCIS transfer my case I-730 to my country-India and they said NVC will schedule my interview. Plz tell me the next steps and how much they will take time to schedule my interview.

How long does USCIS take to send the RFE? USCIS does not provide a specific timeline for sending an RFE (Request for Evidence), as processing times can vary depending on various factors such as the complexity of the case and the workload of the agency. However, it typically takes several weeks to receive an RFE after a case is initially reviewed. How long it will take after receiving the RFE? The processing time after receiving an RFE can also vary depending on various factors, such as the complexity of the RFE and the responsiveness of the applicant in submitting the requested evidence. Generally, USCIS provides a timeframe of 60-90 days for applicants to respond to an RFE. Once the applicant submits the requested evidence, USCIS will review the evidence and make a decision on the case. The processing time for this decision can also vary depending on the workload of the agency and the complexity of the case.

The timeline for scheduling an interview for a CR1 visa can vary depending on a variety of factors, such as the embassy or consulate processing the case and the current demand for visa interviews. However, typically after the DQ (Documentarily Qualified) date, the National Visa Center (NVC) will transfer the case to the embassy or consulate for further processing. It is generally recommended to check the embassy or consulate's website for estimated wait times and any updates on their operating status during the pandemic. American consulate in Lagos, Nigeria wants my family to schedule for IV interview with them. I am confused as to what is going on. If any person has gone through this process, please explain to me.
Scheduling an Immigrant Visa (IV) interview at the American Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria, is a standard part of the process for family members seeking to immigrate to the United States. Here's a generalized breakdown of what the process might involve, but keep in mind that specific steps can vary based on the specific visa category and individual case circumstances: General Process: Approval of Petition: A family member (a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) files a petition on your behalf. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) approves the petition. Case Transfer to National Visa Center (NVC): Upon approval, USCIS transfers the case to the NVC. The NVC assigns a case number and awaits the availability of a visa number. Visa Fee and Document Submission: You pay the applicable visa fee. You submit visa applications and supporting documents to the NVC. Visa Interview Scheduling: Once the visa number is available, the NVC schedules the visa interview. You might be instructed to schedule your own interview through the U.S. Visa Information and Appointment Services website. Medical Examination: Before the interview, you and your family members must undergo a medical examination by an approved panel physician. Visa Interview: Attend the visa interview at the U.S. Consulate in Lagos. Bring all required documents, including passports, photographs, original civil documents, and medical examination results. Visa Issuance: If the visa is approved, it will be placed in your passport. You may need to pay an immigrant visa fee before you travel to the U.S. Travel to the U.S.: Once the visa is issued, you can travel to the U.S. Upon arrival, you will be processed for entry and become a U.S. permanent resident. Additional Notes: Interview Preparation: Ensure all your documents are in order and that you understand your application thoroughly to answer all questions confidently during the interview. Be prepared to discuss the relationship with the family member who petitioned for you. Delays and Additional Documentation: Sometimes, the consulate might request additional documents or information. Respond to these requests promptly to avoid delays. Ensure to check the specific requirements and guidelines provided by the U.S. Consulate in Lagos, as these can offer tailored advice for your interview. If you're feeling overwhelmed or confused, it may be helpful to consult with an immigration attorney or a reputable visa consultant to guide you through the process.

My adult children was approved in March of 2021 but ever time I check to pay the fees. I get a message that they do not have a visa available for then. I am a US citizen. Why it is not allowing me to pay the fees? Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and respond to my inquiry.
If your adult children's visa petition was approved in March 2021, it is likely that they are in the final stages of the process to obtain their visas. However, it is possible that there are still steps that need to be completed before they can receive their visas, such as the payment of fees and the scheduling of a visa interview. It is also possible that the reason you are receiving a message that there is no visa available is due to visa availability limits set by the U.S. Department of State. These limits can change based on a variety of factors, such as the number of visas available for a particular category and the demand for those visas. I would recommend contacting the National Visa Center (NVC) to inquire about the status of your children's case and to ask for clarification on why you are unable to pay the fees. You can reach the NVC by phone or email, and they can provide you with more specific information about your case and any steps that need to be completed before your children can receive their visas. It is also recommended that you consult with an experienced immigration attorney who can provide you with guidance and advice on your specific situation and help you navigate the immigration process.
However, the availability of visa interview appointments may vary based on the Embassy's staffing and operational capacity, as well as any local or regional COVID-19 restrictions

UPDATE: We received an email on October 27th, 2023. Our interview appointment is on December 22nd, 2023 in Montreal.
hello attorney jacob, my case was documentarily qualified in april this year, but i havent heard from nvc about interview for my wife petition in nepal. this is a very frustrating wait and we havent seen each other for long time. as being a us citizen, they should have prioritized my case as i have heard. please do help me with an appropriate answer.
regards
Hello, I’m from the same place, waiting for my interview schedule. Have you recieved yours yet?
Hello!
My interview is also yet to be scheduled my documents have been qualified 2 months ago and I am from Nepal. Can you tell me if your interview has been scheduled or not?
I would like to have some additional information regarding the F3 Visa. How can I get in contact with you? It’s very important
This was helpful. Because our attorney fighting for our visas in Brazil isn't giving how long the entire process is going to take. And my husband is a Brazilian.
I don’t understand the visa bulletin

After submitting the documents how long does it take to "Documentarily Qualified"?
We have been married with my husband since I was 18 have been waiting over 3years to reunite with my husband. It’s a heartbreaking to me. Life is so hard without him. The document has been waiting for over 8months after NVC sent qualified notice 😢. I’m tired and heartbroken 😭
Hi what embassy country was this?
Thanks
Would definitely like an update on this topic☝️🏿

My wife’s case documents were completed in November 2022 . The Us Embassy Of Islamabad is taking longer than ever. They are saying upto 2 years
Hi jacob,
Our DQ is 4 February 2020.but they not give our interview date yet.others people getting interview date who's documents are qualified in may 2 2020.
What should we do.
We sent public inquiry. They reply next available date. But It's going like this 4 months
Is it not need to wait the priority day to be cut off(to become current)?
Yes, in most cases, an immigrant visa cannot be issued until the beneficiary's priority date becomes current. The priority date is the date on which the immigrant visa petition was filed on behalf of the beneficiary. The cut-off date is determined by the Department of State's Visa Bulletin and depends on the beneficiary's country of origin, the visa category, and the number of available visas.

How do you get interview backlogs for any county , my wife is in Argentina , is there any way to check the back logs from the county your spouse is from , i can not find any backlog info from Argentina , thanks for all you do to help all of us in this process .
First liker!! EW Visa applicant here in Manila. PD 2018, still no interview. Need your advise :(
How long does it normally take for NVC to make your case documentarily complete?

The same goes with me. I have received the ceac credential in 2021, however, still waiting to get the platform enabled for the payment
I am I R1, I am waiting since 2020, for NVC to schedule my interview to US Ambassy inGuatemala.
Worse is there is no way to communicate with NVC:(
I was DQed for EB2 visa a few days ago.
You may also contact the Embassy or Consulate directly for more information regarding the status of your visa application and any steps you can take to expedite the process.

Hii i just now how much time does it take after submitting your documents to nvc for spouse visa
They shouldn't cash our checks so fast. It's kind of a slap in the face like, we got your money now wait ....
Hello there! I am sooo tired of waiting for my son’s citizenship. August 9th was his interview done since we waited. What’s going on do you know?

Hi.. excuse me i have two questions .. 1.how long does uscis take to send the rfe ?
2. How long it will take after receiving the rfe ??

My husband's DQ date is august 22. when can he expect to have an interview for CR1???
The timeline for scheduling an interview for a CR1 visa can vary depending on a variety of factors, such as the embassy or consulate processing the case and the current demand for visa interviews. However, typically after the DQ (Documentarily Qualified) date, the National Visa Center (NVC) will transfer the case to the embassy or consulate for further processing.
It is generally recommended to check the embassy or consulate's website for estimated wait times and any updates on their operating status during the pandemic. Your husband may also receive communication from the embassy or consulate once they have scheduled his interview.

Here's a generalized breakdown of what the process might involve, but keep in mind that specific steps can vary based on the specific visa category and individual case circumstances:
General Process:
Approval of Petition:
A family member (a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) files a petition on your behalf.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) approves the petition.
Case Transfer to National Visa Center (NVC):
Upon approval, USCIS transfers the case to the NVC.
The NVC assigns a case number and awaits the availability of a visa number.
Visa Fee and Document Submission:
You pay the applicable visa fee.
You submit visa applications and supporting documents to the NVC.
Visa Interview Scheduling:
Once the visa number is available, the NVC schedules the visa interview.
You might be instructed to schedule your own interview through the U.S. Visa Information and Appointment Services website.
Medical Examination:
Before the interview, you and your family members must undergo a medical examination by an approved panel physician.
Visa Interview:
Attend the visa interview at the U.S. Consulate in Lagos.
Bring all required documents, including passports, photographs, original civil documents, and medical examination results.
Visa Issuance:
If the visa is approved, it will be placed in your passport.
You may need to pay an immigrant visa fee before you travel to the U.S.
Travel to the U.S.:
Once the visa is issued, you can travel to the U.S.
Upon arrival, you will be processed for entry and become a U.S. permanent resident.
Additional Notes:
Interview Preparation:
Ensure all your documents are in order and that you understand your application thoroughly to answer all questions confidently during the interview.
Be prepared to discuss the relationship with the family member who petitioned for you.
Delays and Additional Documentation:
Sometimes, the consulate might request additional documents or information.

Anyone who knows please tell me
My adult children was approved in March of 2021 but ever time I check to pay the fees.
