One thing to add, if you’re documentarily complete, you don’t need to worry about your case being terminated by NVC.

Thank you so much! This is really helpful and needs to be saved for future. You mentioned that there are 20 embassies that are responsible for 90% of the backlog. Would you mind adding them to the comments and pin them? This way, we can check and also share our experience to give you a current update if we are dealing with one of those embassies.
My son priority date is March 2016. How long will he have to wait for an interview . He is in Jamaica.

Why they cannot split in all separate countries? Actually when China and India are backlogged, ROW is backlogged too for EB2 NIW. It will be better for all that there are separate lists for each country.
Hi Jacob, and thanks for your very informative video! I understand you said the NVC or USCIS determined this year they will prioritize Immigration Visas. But they just released a bulletin saying their priority is for employment visas now. I made an expedited request last week to NVC, they confirmed they forwarded the request to the embassy in Abu Dhabi and the next day Abu Dhabi denied the request. PD Nov 30th 2020. I-130 Approved Sept 2021. It took two over years to get DQ in March 2024.

Since September 2023, the month my case was approved for interview, to this day, I am waiting regardless of repeated inquiry to NVC.

There is still going to be many 10s of thousands of fb visas wasted again this year. F4 is still projected to waste 22k. From May to September there needed to be 8k f4 visas handed out per month. That clearly didn’t happen. Any visa movement in the fb categories that happen after July 1st will probably not get an interview this fiscal year as it looks like 90 days now between visa bulletin and interview.
I sent it on April 2024. They said: Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled, at which time we will send it to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. We will notify the applicant when an appointment is scheduled.

Anyone else waiting on Guayaquil consulate? How long was the waiting time?
They are asking for me to pay fees again. There are 4 people on this case and i am asking how can they arbitrarily take the money and ask me to pay again for something that is not my fault they have the backlog and all other unforsee n circumstances.

@@izzydoesit8663 congratulations! Yes in my case it's been 4 months since we got DQ. I know oher people that waited for 2 months, 4 months and 6 months for an interview. It depends on every case and the availability from the embassy
All family petitioners should be arranged a campaign before USA election. Immigration reform and visa Cap increase. Without increase visa Cap family immigration never be fast. So move on for your family members.
Why is NVC and the embassies playing dumb? Even when you send them screenshots and a link to the policy?

We have been DQ since January 2024 with a priority date of Dec 2022, and our embassy would be Lagos. Is it best to get it transfer to Abuja instead?
Good day! My husband was interviewed last year april 2023, but was not able to get his visa after the interview since during the interview his PD was not current which is July 15, 2021. But thankfully now, his PD was current on the June Visa Bulletin. He’s under F2a category. May i please know if he needs to have interview again? Or when he will be able to schedule one? He’s case is in US embassy manila, but until now we have not receive any further instruction even if the PD is current already. Also my husband was informed by someone at US embassy information during our daughter’s interview the following day after may husband’s interview, that the doesn’t need to have another interview anymore and what he only need to do is that once PD is current just mail the passport to the embassy in Manila with a letter attachment saying that his PD is now current.
Nairobi Kenya embassy is taking long to schedule for interviews😔. IRI been waiting 1year and six months for interview. DQ 30th December 2022!

Hi, i got DQ 18/04/2024. NVC emailed me that they will work with my local USA embassy in my country lebanon to schedule an appointment for an interview. Any expectation day for the interview . CR1 visa ( spouse visa ) . My priority day is 14/06/2023

Hi and thank you for the informative video. I have an approved I-130 since 2017 through marriage to a US citizen. However I needed to wait for the approval of waiver I601A because back in 2003 I came to the US with a K1 but never married and stayed in the US. Finally waiver was approved in January 2024 but NVC hasn’t say anything. Back in 2019 I received a welcome letter but now I’m kind of confused, should I receive another welcome letter, like what happens now? Thank you .

Thank you for the information. I have a question regarding the processing timelines for F1 visa applications. Let's assume that USCIS has approved my I-130 petition and my case is now with the NVC in the F1 (first family preference) category. The current wait times for this category are around 11 years. However, I'm unsure if other country's visa backlog affects me. in my county(Somalia
) we don’t have visa backlogs. So, Even if there's no backlog in my country, would I still need to wait the full 11 years?

Thanks for all you do. New subscriber here. I have a concern: My K1 visa Notice of action I-797 will expire on September 15 2024. Our case is already submitted to the embassy but have yet to schedule an interview. Im worried if we still can't book an interview by then past the expiry. My case is documentarily qualified for 9 months. I am F1 Family category. Unmarried son above 21 years of an American citizen. Why is my interview in Auckland not taking place.
F1 visa category is for spouses and children of U.S. citizens, not adult children. Visa interview location likely follows your sponsor's residence, not yours.

How long can ones case stay at NVC without paying for the fee bills
When my case (EB3 visa other workers) is DQ'd (July 2023) at NVC, and still waiting for the interview letter and Pd April 2022 , if I were to request changing interview place, then assuming the request is approved:
1) would my interview be still scheduled according to my original DQ time, or is my DQ time reset?
2) Would my place in the queue for the interview at the new CO be as if I had chosen that CO from the beginning?
3) Also, since the case is still at NVC, this transfer should happen rather quickly, right? like a few days after approval? (It's just a case number being changed?)
Sorry if these are easy questions  but I couldn't find their answer on the NVC website.
It makes sense to me that the DQ date shouldn't be reset, I just wanna make sure. Thanks a lot!

HI Jacob I had my interview on the 11th of April 2024, they took my passport and was issued a yellow slip 221g. I had submitted the information they wanted on the same day. Last Thursday they asked me if I applied for parole when leaving USA. I am also a derivative applicant to my husband's assylum. I unintentionally didn't apply for parole. How is the NVC's interview scheduling organized for China (Guangzhou consulate) for non-Chinese-born and non-Chinese nationals applying for EB1A? My priority date (PD) is current, and I have received documentarily qualified (DQ) status. However, does this mean that as the final action date advances for China-born cases, my position (as a foreign) in line will move down because their PD and DQ dates are earlier than mine?

Hello , i got DQ on the 18/04/2024. My priority date is 14/06/2023.NVC sent an email saying that they will work with the USA embassy in my local country for scheduling an interview. My visa is CR1 visa ( spouse visa ). Any expectation day for the interview. Your advice is highly appreciated
CR1 interview timelines vary but can be within 1-3 months after DQ. Focus on embassy wait times and stay updated with NVC.
