Ziggy is one of my fave albums. I understood your Rockefeller reference. This was jam packed with info - thank you. I think Velvet Goldmine was also used as a movie title.
You have a point, my kids probably do not know who Rockefeller is. Still need to pull the trigger on my first Bowie record. Great video Mark. No problem on the book!! It’s great.
Great review and mirror cover. Will have to pick those up. Man these vinyl releases keep coming out fast and furious. Today is the release of Mind Games. The ultra deluxe version of that with the big clear box is insane. Sean appears to have done a great job on that and has sent many copies to TH-camrs to review. Would be interested to hear your take on that release. PS. Related to Bowie, one of my local record stores in the mall here in PA sells photos of rock groups and singers etc. One day while in there, I saw one of my ex band mates on the wall in a frame. I say to the clerk “you know, that’s not David Bowie but a tribute artist that plays David Bowie…” 😅 The guys name is David Brighton and he also played George Harrison in some of the Beatles tribute shows I was in back in the 90’s. Anyway, thought you’d get a chuckle out of that. I guess he looked close enough for Bowie to actually use him in a commercial : th-cam.com/video/7qDMZwF3jAw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5AbA0VKM2q0UA4iH
That is fantastic, Marty! These stories just keep coming! I will be ordering my copy of Mind Games with my next paycheck. Of course, I won't be getting the super deluxe version. Maybe when my channel gains 30 thousand more subs, the Lennon Estate will consider me for free merchandise. Fingers crossed!
I passed over this, but maybe I shouldn't have. I might have a listen. Really enjoyed your overview. I didn't get Divine Symmetry either. (I am also not Rockefeller).
Yes. I decided to calm down on all the box sets. I went a little crazy for a bit. Music is great, but food has it's purpose, too. For the price, I thought this was reasonable. Of course, I will always grumble and say, "I remember when I could buy brand new records for 5 or 6 bucks." One of the benefits of getting older, actually. Thanks for watching, Brian!
Hello Mark, lovely video my friend,I told you it's a fantastic Bowie album, enjoyed this one mate, cheers, Dave 😊
Yes! I really like it. A lot of this was new to me, which made it extra fun.

Yes! The movie was based on a "David Bowie type" character. I don't think Bowie would allow them to his original songs. Thanks for dropping by, GG!

@@vinylshawn4757 Thanks again, Shawn. It's nice to be appreciated!

Hey, Steve. Not my best work. I'm still hit and miss, but I'll get better.
