These reloads are pretty nice. I think one thing that anyone watching should consider is the pace of these games. *Reloads match the pace of the game.* Squad and Insurgency are considerably slower paced then Call of Duty, and some people seem to forget this. I've played all three of these games and I have to approach them all differently, vastly in the case of Call of Duty compared to the other two. Insurgency: Sandstorm has a quick time to kill, meaning people tend to take it a bit more slower with some light communication between teammates, as one or two bullets can kill you. However, it still remains fluid in movement and it can be played in a run and gun playstyle if you're really keen on it, so the reload speed is variable. Squad also has a quick kill time at around two to three shots, but has much more longer range engagements meaning firefights are much slower and coupled with how labored the movement is, running and gunning is ineffective, meaning you have to play around communicating with your squad. In Squad's case, because you're not running and gunning and it wants you to work around your team, the reloads don't need to be as swift. Call of Duty is Call of Duty, so reloads need to be quick and speedy or else you get cheesed. For the Insurgency: Sandstorm video, there were some people commentating on how there was a lack of urgency in the animations, and while I agree for some of them, it glazes over both the pacing of the game (which is a bit weird I'll admit) and the speed reloads which exists for when you need that urgency. It's not exactly a life or death situation either, I'd say. As some of the previous commenters were saying, Squad is an incredibly slow-paced game. Reloading speed in FPS games is dependent on the pacing of the game itself, and out of most known shooting titles, Squad is by far the slowest, with most firefights being long-ranged, and movement being incredibly labored and slow. This makes R&G'ing ineffective, so it stands that this reloading pace makes sense.
Just because I see a lot of comments about it… a lot of training dictates to check your magazines before loading for debris or poorly seated rounds. 2 in the heat of the moment you want to make sure you’re grabbing a loaded magazine (yes I know the weight difference, but in stressful situations you won’t notice) 3 squad characters are to represent the average soldier not highly trained operators, however many operators still do perform these actions out of habit from training
He might be checking for debris or something in the mag. Sure he could be seeing if the mag has rounds, but its incredibly dangerous for the mag to have dirt, sand, or anything like that in it
He’s checking to make sure the bullets aren’t dirty or if he grabbed an empty magazine. You don’t just slide a mag in without at least checking if it will even work.

The reloads in this game are very lackadaisical and it’s strange to me that they check they magazine for ammunition on every reload as one dumps the magazines that don’t have any bullets in them, so you shouldn’t be carrying any empties. If you’ve trained properly with a rifle or pistol you should be able to reload it in almost half the time.
@@harveyknguyen if you are putting your magazines top down in your vest or plate carrier it should be more or less impossible to get dirt or mud inside the mag
@@harveyknguyen everyone does that. I’ve literally never seen a someone having the opening of the magazine upwards. If you can find me an army where their standard operating procedure is to put the mags in the pouches the wrong way, I’d be extremely surprised.
Have heard about real combat? Explosions, men dying, bullets everywhere, it is chaos. You will forget which mags are empty, which mags half loaded, and which mags are still full.
It's not about checking if they're full (you can check based on weight and observation holes if the magazine has them), it's to check if the rounds are seated correctly, and that there's no debris that could prevent the weapon from feeding properly. It's something you should do every time you load a weapon, even in a firefight. I've received a significant amount of training on the L85A2, which has four 'Immediate Action Drills' you are required to do if your weapon fails. You typically do each in order until the problem is fixed, the drill for a magazine issue is the third test, so it's better to catch the issue before you even put the magazine in the weapon...
As I said before, the choreography isn't that good. It isn't any better in Project Reality, but the stiffness that game's animations have is what makes them look good

since this game has the best recoil animation out of all FPS games
"I dont like this game"
M4sked just hates games that have good gun animations, which is very sad
@@doritodragon9218 good animations have nothing to do with its gameplay
1:02
Although it is quite realistic.
But some of them I think are bit soft,Not enough *ONF* compared to project reality
Specially for AK series
You forgot the aussie faction
Aussie mod is not available
Ma le braccia come son fatte?? 🤣
These are quite close to the animation level of MW.
I feel all the us weapons have alot of unnecessary animations.
nice video bruv
The only thing I hated from the game is how slow the reload is. It's lacking urgency.
Because you have a team to cover you, you dont need to be urgent and get your gun jammed because you didnt check if there was debris in it or not
These reloads is very similar to Project Reality
Same devs
Whatabout a Squad all weapons "safety on" and "safety off" all animations? (Or "holster" and "unholster"
PCGV did that already
1:18 1:40 1:46 1:52 2:12 2:18 2:24 2:43 all cock the gun even with a round in the chamber, I havent even got all the guns with this problem because I lost will power to jot them down
Have you played the game? There are different animations for empty and tactical reloads. The vid author is only showing empty reloads for the most part, but I assure you that charging handles aren't pulled etc. for reloads from non-empty
@@branchy2000inc I never said the mechanics are wrong, I literally slowed down the video and saw bullets left in the mag, its the models that are wrong. you can see it clearly in 2:43. 3:35 is an example of a gun that did it correctly because it has no more bullets left in the mag
So many ak47s
The reloads in this game are very lackadaisical and it’s strange to me that they check they magazine for ammunition on every reload as one dumps the magazines that don’t have any bullets in them, so you shouldn’t be carrying any empties. If you’ve trained properly with a rifle or pistol you should be able to reload it in almost half the time.
it's not just an ammo check but a mag check too
since y'know shit happens and things can get into the magazine
@@harveyknguyen if you are putting your magazines top down in your vest or plate carrier it should be more or less impossible to get dirt or mud inside the mag
@@kden9772 yeah if
@@harveyknguyen everyone does that. I’ve literally never seen a someone having the opening of the magazine upwards. If you can find me an army where their standard operating procedure is to put the mags in the pouches the wrong way, I’d be extremely surprised.
Allow me to waste time looking into the magazine every time I reload, if you’re smart you should know which magazines are empty..
How many ak's does 1 game need smh
well there are AKMs RPK RPK74M for the Russians AK 74M for the Russians whats your point?
@@hecunotmakingalogisquad5785 There's also things like the AKMS, AKS-74, AMD-65, PMD-63, and others. Basically, this game has a lot of AK variants
YES
All of them
Hot damn the quality is on par with Insurgency Sandstorm
Goofy ahh POV
You don't like game or love game you just "meh" game
In Roblox fireteam
As I said before, the choreography isn't that good. It isn't any better in Project Reality, but the stiffness that game's animations have is what makes them look good
I was in the military for 6 years, I've never seen anyone slap the bolt catch, even under pressure. I hate this meme
We do here actually
Even in 2x speed the animations are painfully slow
Somehow Insurgency: Sandstorm's animations are faster in 2x speed
FOV 🤮
