i really like the peasant crown. i think its not an endgame item but it is useful midgame.
Love some faster run/walk especially early on.
Loving peasant crown as a shako light. I found 2-3 of them and its GREAT for new chars
The vampire gaze looks so sick now that the player character shows unique sprits! I want it just to walk around with a skull face now!
Yeah, but they went a little soft with the horns... loved the aggressive horns in LOD
@@JB-qq1xz Like on the other helms? They’re just not bright yellow anymore so harder to see. When my barb procs fade it looks like his helmet isn’t even on I can see his bald head so I feel you on the texture/color changes taking some of the visuals away.
@@JB-qq1xz I actually wish they had given all the bone helms the same horns as giant skull - it just looks better (imo)

Peasant crown is a staple in the beginning of ladder for almost every class...
Lore is a helmet that every caster wars at some point of time
Howltusk is a sleeper hit on physical bowazons. Knockback and fear mean you can keep bads off you, and a massive 35% damage taken goes to mana means that any enemy that breaks through your waves of knockback will top you off and keep the ball rolling.
Also, shoutout to Wolfhowl for being a unique build all on its own.

Protect it well with these neat tools. As a bonus , some of them look really cool.
Especially the Winged Barbarian helmet. Gives me my Asterix fix.

I'd have to say the most underrated helmet in my opinion is darksight, it's got some incredible mods that I think go under valued like dim vision when struck, cbf, fire res, cloak charges etc. If you got time alzorath I made a video on it with a budget smiter setup.

I liked Delirium on my summon necro. Transforming wasn't a problem and plenty of useful traits.
Lucky Larzak 2 socket Magic +3 skilltree 20% FCR/etc circlets are nice. :)
Lore is an underrated helm in my opinion. It give several good benefits and +1 skills early
Flickering flame is my favorite helm at the moment I’m running a maxed holy fire charge pally
My honorable mention is actually a re-mention: Tals Mask. I've been doing some theory-crafting with the new Nova changes and the 5pc Tals set beats out the Hoto sets until you get Grif's thanks to the -rez on the weapon. The only set that beats it is the Crescent Moon set, but your sacrificing a ton of MF to run CM. I'm 100% running 5 Tals on my sorc until I land a Grifs. :D
Tal's set is honestly an amazing set - 3 part or full set usually here, and any fire sorc build can get a lot from just getting at least 3 parts with the orb as one of them.
For my Lightning Javazon, I am running a Lightning Facet equipped Valkyrie Helm xDDD
Welp, been using Shako for trav with Kira+GA on merc. Shako with V Gaze + Therchery (fort if im not poor) on merc for general MFing
Your Stealskull mention is legendary since it's pretty low-tier but good for early farming (though people I know and others only farm after rushing to hell).
For Faith GMB bowzons, M'avina's True Sight is a SUPERNICHE honorable mention as it has 45% IAS (w/ jewel). With Highlords/CatsEye, 10% NosferatusCoil, 20% gloves, and , it lets you run Foritude and reach the full 7FPA attack speed. As far as I remember, it's the highest IAS helm.
Honestly speaking, apart from rare circlet variation, the helmet list (although competitive) seems pretty short in its own way. Between other slots not providing benefits or filling up breakpoints already, the helmet list gets cut down and I feel you end up with 1-4 real choices from your Best Helmets list.
Because of the wide variety of helmets, I feel its best to pick other equipment before the helmet slot so it can finish off what you need.
Usually my flex spot is my boots - but can definitely understand using the helmet for it :) (and yea, M'avina is a great budget helm, and really good with the set for a magezon)

Only Druid Pelts and Barbarian Helms get plus skills while plain/ethereal, and you can only put runewords in plain/ethereal helmets.
Demonhead with 3 perfect magic find stones in it 😉
can you find a 5 nado druid pelt, and then make delerium out of that to get a +7 nado?
No. The only way you can get that extra +skills is if it's already magic or rare, so runewords won't work.
No harlequin crest? I thought most caster used shako. Good all rounder and great for mf
