  • Watching any sport for entertainment is one thing and enjoying it as a competitive game is completely different. The latter requires correctly reading the scorecard. The cricket scorecards not only tells us the current status of the game, but also the direction in which the game is going and the amount of time remaining in the ongoing match. Finally at the end of the match the entire match can be summarized.
    The Cricket scores are presented by the ways of multiple scorecards, and it can be quite confusing for beginners. Among the different scorecards, the most important ones to understand are the live ticker that shows current progress, the batting scorecard that shows the batting performance, the bowling scorecard that shows the bowling performance and finally the match summary which shows a comparative presentation of both teams at any point in the match.
    Let's take a look at the different types of scorecards and learn how to read them. We'll take a match previously played between women's cricket teams of Hong Kong and Nepal, which was also a world cup qualifier.

    All good, except for the innings bit. One innings is both teams batting once. T20 only has one innings. Test matches have two innings, ie both teams batting twice.

      No. One innings is one team batting once. Hence a Test match has four innings, each team having two.
