About Mirik: Mirik is a small hill town and a Notified Area of Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning "place burnt by fire. Mirik is just 40 Kms away from Darjeeling and it comes first if you are coming from Siliguri.
Nearest Railway station to Mirik is New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri Junction
Nearest Airport is Bagdogra Airport

Places to see in Mirk: The top attractions to visit in Mirik are: Bokar Ngedon Chokhor Ling Monastery · Sumendu Lake · Tingling view point · Simana View Point · Helipad Swiss Cottages and Mirik Church.
Mirik has some lovely viewpoints from where tourists can watch the setting or rising sun spreading its golden hues over the surrounding landscape. Sunrise or sunset, both are extremely special in a hill station because of the magic it weaves. Sunrise is amazing but if you are not a morning person, sunset will be equally fascinating. Tingling and Rameetay Dhara are the two place you could visit to catch a glimpse of the sun.

Been there ...i also loved this place peaceful clean easy people around near nature not expensive... everything ..is quite yes to visit this place...was shocked some of my frenz didn't liked it much ...but I was detoxed there...lovely place ...hill station bhut dekhe honge ye bhut pyari jgah hai sukoon bhari.
