- Part of being a police officer is knowing how to safely operate an emergency vehicle in stressful and emergent conditions. The Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) provides in-depth training in not only the class room but on the track. On the last day of EVOC training, recruits have an opportunity to run the course and compare times with that of an instructor...we caught one of those experiences on camera with the 14th Recruit Class....
Thank you to all those who participated and to the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy for their continued support and partnership in training the future of law enforcement!

But did the officer shuffle steer. I remember when my academy said theyd remediate me if i didnt shuffle steer. The response "but did i hit any cones" was not the best choice of words.
Going through EVOC now at my academy. I hear my instructor screaming shuffle steer in my sleep lol
Damn I miss those days. I loved being an EVO instructor.
Great driving and great choice of music.
This makes me miss the academy. Absolutely loved evo week
Oh man!!! That looks fun!! Sign me up!
Looks like a lot of fun
The officer was faster, but the recruit was smoother.
I heard a lot of under steer. One almost transitioned to over steer. Lol
i out ran whole fleet in 2012.. south side my finish line was key west mi 0. PS EX COP WHO GOT FUCKED THANKS FOR ALL TRAINING! NEVER FAILS PAYOFF
but both passed sooooooooooooooooo
So they still do it this way?
@@kadingaming801 do you have to pararel park for impd
Of course the guy that teaches the course and drives it more often than recruits is gonna be slightly better at it. I'm not sure what else this video is trying to prove?
I would say it proves what a seasoned officer can do, especially with being a certified instructor vs a new recruit getting taught the fundamentals.
Man AC/DC sucks lol
