    I got this in May based on your review. We used it all week at Pawleys Island SC in June. By far the best umbrella I have ever used! Rock steady at all times. Super easy to setup. Thanks for the great reviews!!

    Just bought one of their Demo versions that they sell for a discount off their website. Same umbrella system used once by their staff for TV/Media appearances. Even got one of the fancy colors for cheaper than the standard blue at Amazon prices. Thanks for your windy video-- really helped me decide to buy. I'm alleviating my husband's OCD with this gift. He usually ends up spending our whole beach day gripping and holding our cheapo umbrella for fear it will let loose.

    I still don't get it. The beachBUB "ultra" hold down system that can be used with ANY umbrella is sold separately for $40. The beachBUB complete system (ultra hold down system plus umbrella) is $175. So the included 7 1/2-foot non-tilt umbrella is worth $135??? I remain skeptical on that. Why not get the ultra hold down system for $40 and a sport-brella premier that is 9-foot and has tilt option for only $75 (total $115)???

    Great looking and nice design. A tilt device or knuckle is imperative to help track the sun and shade shadow. Otherwise you have to move your chairs to keep in the shade and lose the table where your drinks and phones are. This umbrella works great when the sun is directly overhead.

      BeachBUB does offer a sun visor that attaches to the umbrella to help with that issue, but I haven't reviewed it yet.

    We got one cheaper from a friend that was not using it. I was skeptical at first but now we like it on windy days. We use larger cheap ones on less windy days. 1. If it is not windy, just skip the scooping and stick it in normally. 2. We prefer umbrellas without a hinge because those things break too easily. Just tilt the umbrella pole.
    Great idea about using the hose clamp. That will help me keep some of our cheapies in service longer. We have a beach place and keep a fleet of umbrellas. 😁

    • @BeachGearGuy
      @BeachGearGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. Those tilt hinges do have a tendency to malfunction when it gets breezy. Thanks for the info!

    Hi Beach guy, I took a look at your video for the beach bub win test. I noticed that your wind meter was only 20.6 mph then you stated it was 30 big difference. Have you looked at any other beach umbrellas? I also noticed that the umbrella you used to compete with was very inexpensive as you stated $20 umbrella versus a six panel market style with A much stronger frame. Also you use no echo device so of course that type of umbrella will truly fall apart.

    • @illaneecorona
      @illaneecorona 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Fred you literally looked for things wrong. Lol. For one, lets imagine that the winds picked up and universe forbid that the video basically covering 20-30mph winds isnt enough for you all bc he didnt record himself holding the wind-meter at the time the umbrellas were up. Also his comparisons were spot on. Not sure what country youre in, but the avg American (which is middle class) is absolutely shopping for the $20 umbrella so this was needed to be done exactly how it is. No one usually even dares to go past $40 for a standard beach umbrella (which are all typical of the same build) so he chose right for the AVERAGE viewer. And assuming youre referring to an anchor device... believe it or not millions of ppl do not use one esp on the cheap pharmacy umbrellas with no hooks. You can witness this innocent ignorance on any busy beach day as ppl get up quick to reinsert their umbrellas in the sand; they genereally dont know ppl have lost eyes due to unsecured umbrellas. SO this review is a 100 out of 10 for the avg viewer. Feel free to look up the many other BeachBub reviews here and all over the interent if you need more convincing but be honest with yourself if you wont believe it regardless. As an over-analytical person doing research, I have yet to find any factual (versus strictly opinionated cosmetic) complaints yet. When YOU find a safer complete beach *umbrella (not tent or canopy; nor just an anchor)- you spend your hundreds and make a review video on a windy day for the world to see. We'll appreciate it. Thanks.

      @@BeachGearGuy Yes, bought my first about 2 years ago. Now you can see them dotting the coast for many beaches across the mid-Atlantic. In my opinion there is nothing better for windy conditions. Just need to not be annoyed by the flapping, but it's such a lightweight material that it isn't that noticeable. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but if properly used this will last for years. Plus they are made in North Carolina.

    The issue is this type of umbrella is heavier and although it seems easy enough takes longer to set up. Real life solution is to just fold the umbrella when the wind picks up too much or point it in the direction of the wind.

  • @stevekoyote3830
    @stevekoyote3830 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Decent review, but who hangs out on a 30-35 wind mph day on the beach? Also you did not use contemporary competitive items for your demo. Did Beach Bub assist with that choice? Also the umbrella (beach bub) is a market style umbrella- what that means is it has a more solid frame for the fabric than the other 2 umbrellas used. Just by nature of the design those are weaker, especially in heavy winds. Maybe do a more honest review and use something more comparable. There are 40-65$ umbrellas with anchors that would be a better and more , uh, equal comparison especially on price point. So decent review on the product itself, but your comparisons are extremely weak, as in you used the most basic and cheapest versions of other umbrellas instead of something actually and functionally comparable - that also sell at half the price of this beachbub. 3/10 review.
