This is my first time hearing them. I love the lyrics.. they brought tears to my eyes. Unusual for a rock song to make me cry. I love that God uses all varieties of music to bring believers closer to Him and prayerfully then unknowing to Him!

Missed the premiere because I was at work but I'm so glad you loved it! This is definitely my favorite Christmas song, I just love it because it's so full of passion and power. I love that there's Christian Metal, the way I see it - it's just a different way of expressing worship. THIS is my type of worship, it's what best matches the passion that I feel

“I have adapted to the culture of every place I’ve gone so that I could more easily win people to Christ. I’ve done all this so that I would become God’s partner for the sake of the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:22,23 ... Paul speaking). Furthermore, it is natural for people within any culture and musical genre to share the Good News to those within their own culture/genre in a way they can relate to. It delights me.

I love WATG. I am a Christian, and I’m so glad bands like this are using this style of music both for entertainment and for bringing their message to fans of this style of music. I find it saddening that many try to hold them back saying they’re not truly Christian and that the music is evil. I randomly came across this video so idk if you’ve covered it or not, but Impending Doom does a song that touches heavily on this topic. The song is called Silence the Oppressors. I’d recommend checking it out for their perspective.

Leo, I have been watching you for some time now, not always getting the privilege of seeing you live. In my eyes I have seen such a positive growth in you. You may not realize how many lives you are affecting in a positive way with this channel, but I see God using you in a mighty way! Love you brother ❤️

I think it’s great that we can all worship in the way God made us to. Just like the stars worship, the waves, the birds, every single creature. ‘Let everything that has breath praise the Lord’. God loves it all.

Missed this one because of a Zoom meeting... but it was nice screaming 🙂 I think it’s good that Christian music is so wide spread over so many genres. It’s a question of whom you’re singing to, not in which way you do it. Blessings 🙂

Growl and screaming comes from a dark depressed lifestyle now turned around. There is still an animal inside me that loves the hard rock 🥁🎸🎻🎷🎺 and with positive head focused heart full of love ❤️ I remain ⚓️to God and Jesus’s guidance
Sorry I missed it live 😓

it's interesting that you should word it that way because I feel like metal does speak to a very primal part of us... something about it feels good... I don't think I like metal enough to call myself a metalhead... but I LOVE listening to all the pattern changes and the heavy tones and angry growls!!

    One more thing:
Sleeping Giant - "Tithemi" or "I Am"
Not only does Christian music have a significant presence in harder music, the underground metal scene in the 1990s was almost exclusively incubated by Christian bands: Underoath, Ultimatum, and the Scandinavian metal scene.

    • @dpwellman
      @dpwellman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

A decade before that, Christian music had a few notable acts pushing the envelope of what was expected out of hard music: Whether it by Deliverance with hyper aggressive, melodic speed metal, Roger Martin's "unique" vocal delivery on Vengeance Rising first two albums, Believer introducing the world to technical thrash with occasional cellos and soprano opera vocals, Seventh Angel's doom masterpiece "Lament For the Weary", or Tourniquet answering the question few have asked: if Domenico Scarlatti had access to distorted Telecasters and 12-18 pice drum kit what would "classical" music sound like?
Christian music had many pioneering moments not the least of which going against popular opinion and doing anything it could to reach a world for Christ.

WOW that’s a historic list that I was not aware of. Thank you, my spirituality had not matured from being so lost. Music became a dangerous zone during transformation of my soul.

But the band I'm referring to is This one: th-cam.com/users/officialred
Red. They're quite good. I really think you'd like them (most people do). They're quite expressive without being theatrical. My favorite tracks from them are "If I Break", "Gravity Lies" (from the 2:26 mark one of the most epic interludes in modern rock), and "Sever".

Wow! That is the first time I have ever heard anyone complain about this! I love being called La Familia because it makes me feel good to be part of a family of believers all over the world! I love that Leonardo considers me a friend and part of his family! La Familia is Spanish for My or The Family!
