There is not jut one way to parent

Many parenting coaches have a rubric that they want you to follow, that is, they're telling you how to be a parent for a particular outcome. But my perspective is that there are many ways to parent, and so much of what we do is dependent on our own capacity. This takes us out of trying to figure out if we're "good" parents, or if we're "doing it right".
Instead, we might want to consider what inner and relational landscapes we need visit to consider how we want to be in relationship with our family members, to know and understand them, for them to know us as whole humans too. Within those landscapes we have full choice around how we show up to one another. And, to do that consciously means taking a good look at what we want, practicing regard, and learning to tend to our capacity.
