He was perfect. Right up to the edge of the jumps. Took off from the perfect distance every time. He answered every question perfectly. So proud of both of you. Love seeing the world from between copper ears.
That was thrilling. I felt like I was flying on him over huge ditches and other obstacles. He never hesitated and his beautiful ears were pricked up the whole time. Good to watch first thing in the morning. I would hate to see what 4 Star is going to be like. Fear
i dont rlly understand your comment, since im not nativly english speaking. But the ppl who count down say "have a good ride" and you would always reply with "thank you". Why would she say "thanks you too", this guy wont ride the course.
Love it ! Am I the only person who counts down the strides to a fence like : 5,4,3,2,1 ? I dunno it’s just for practice as I’m bad a figuring out strides so I do it on your video and it has helped a little !
I just absolutely adore hearing you talk to your horses around the course and telling them what a good job they’re doing, a true partnership ❤️ you’re an amazing horsewoman, greatly admire you. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
That was absolutely class. Sharpie learns from every run. He trusts you completely and I love the forward thinking ride you give him. He has been my favourite since you first introduced him and it gets more interesting every season
What an AMAZING ride and round from both of you! Sharps really looks SO much different than he started, but this round was the proof in the pudding for all of it!
What a great round for you both. I love Sharpie (and Eton) of course. Very well ridden Elisa. Thank you s much for letting us come along with you. Stay safe. x
I love watching you, and all of your horses. Sharpie is so much fun to watch. He reminds me of a kid on a treasure hunt.... jump, and run like heck to find the next one. Couldn't believe what he jumped, right out of stride. He's a star now. He's going to be a much bigger one next year. I can't wait!
you were just amazing at making sure he was balanced and listening to you the whole time. and wow those where incredible spots he took to all the jumps! if i could buy him i would 100% no doubt!
i ride western i also ride a champion barrel racer it is so much fun and your videos have showed me that even during this time you can still do the things that you want to do
💙🚀🙌 love this!! Got the feeling that everything just clicked for him when he left the start box!! Just checking the boxes. So happy and proud of him!💎🐎🚀
Sharpie seems to eat up the fences in the same way that Johnny does. Of all your current horses, which one would have made the best old-style long-format 3-day horse?
Thank you, that was awesome! You two have solidified as a team, questions asked and answered. On another note, have you ever withdrawn due to the footing? That course looked pretty gooey.
Yes I have. Actually the footing was fantastic. It wasn’t sticky at all, the key is to not over stud them. They all recovered great and part of that is due to the good ground.
Well for the first question, every fence has different colored numbers that go in order for different levels of riding. Then before she goes out in Sharpie or any horse, you normally walk the course at least three times on foot or on a golf cart! Hope that helped! And for the second there is a process called conditioning where you work up a horses level of fitness every ride, just like a person who wants to get better at running! You do it very gradually. Hope this helped!
It could be a number of things: whip bruises, spur marks, blood in the mouth, etc. just anything that says that the horse was not comfortable during his ride! Hope this helped.

Have the ppl that count you down to go been like “have a good ride” and you said “thanks you too” or is that just sum I would do
Sounds like something I'd do lol
Honestly, mood
Meeeeee 😂
I would do it!

Sharpie did a 3*?!!!! Seems like yesterday he was at baby novice! Go Sharpie!
The way he saved himself at the second water jump and it didn't bog him up for the next one was amazing. He did sooo well!!
Can we talk about how good if a rider she is Oml ❤️
I love how she is praising him 🥺
Might have to change his nickname to Smoothie after that run! 😎
What a beautiful, smooth round! Love Sharpie's happy ears💜

Yes! And I SIT in my chair then rise as though going to two point! I'm learning so much!
Lol! I have it too!! :D It did helped me a lot in the past, and now that I can't ride, even more, for practise :)
Legit I do the exact same thing!!
I just absolutely adore hearing you talk to your horses around the course and telling them what a good job they’re doing, a true partnership ❤️ you’re an amazing horsewoman, greatly admire you. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺

Wow wow wow. Sharpie was a total rock star. Absolutely incredible ride!!!!
4:25 At that moment I would laugh so much because of the occasional cheers 😅
The following obstacles are in a difficult combination, uff. Well done 👏😲
That was absolutely class. Sharpie learns from every run. He trusts you completely and I love the forward thinking ride you give him. He has been my favourite since you first introduced him and it gets more interesting every season
Seemed he came out of it thinking "is that all there is?" Perfect.
What a great ride through that really difficult question area!!! Well done you guys!!! Best Regards from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
What an AMAZING ride and round from both of you! Sharps really looks SO much different than he started, but this round was the proof in the pudding for all of it!
Love you Sharpie!!! Such a great guy and loves what he does! Congrats Elisa!
What a beautiful round! Great rhythm and almost no adjustments. WOW!

Sweet Sharpie! He did such a good job! It's been so fun to see him growing into such a great eventing horse.
you were just amazing at making sure he was balanced and listening to you the whole time. and wow those where incredible spots he took to all the jumps! if i could buy him i would 100% no doubt!
i dont i think i have to say this, that first jump was so clean so smooth and he was amazing everywhere else but that first jump was just- amazing
Wow!!! That just looked so easy and smooth! That was an excellent ride 👍🤩
Love how much he has calmed down over the last year. Such a quiet ride.
Such a wonderful round...so well ridden and Sharpy really showing what he got!

Absolutely wonderful!! He just keeps on getting better and better!!!
My favourite sharpie!!! It would be very cool to have the dressage and the jumping in an other video 😚
He looks awesome! You guys made it look so easy!
It would be really interesting to hear how you decide to cork up given the different terrains you encounter on any given course. Good ride!
What a wonderful ride!! He is really shaping up to be an amazing horse:)
WOW! I just love this horse; what a great ride!!
Oh wouw! Sharpie slid across that course like wet jello! He made it look so easy! 8'D

Love Sharpie! Such a good boy!
Way to go Sharpie! What a difference from a couple of years ago when the chevrons spooked him.
Which of your competition horses reminds you the most of Johnny when you are doing cross country?
Awesome ride! It sure did look perfect!
His stride is so bueatiful and big I wish I had a horse I don’t but I know nearlly all the things horse people do know🤩
I have just found this sport and I LOVD it!!! Any one have tips on ways to get started? Correct me but is it call hunter jumper??
This is Eventing
@@WallaceEventing ok thank you! I'll surely think about doing it!
Sharpie seems to eat up the fences in the same way that Johnny does.
Of all your current horses, which one would have made the best old-style long-format 3-day horse?
I know I would love to ride Sharpie round the steeplechase😁
I first ever got the helmet cam idea from you
Thank you, that was awesome!
@@WallaceEventing :-) Good to hear. Thank you. There were certainly no missteps, but looking at it, not feeling it, made it hard to tell.
Simply the best go team ELISA solid gold ✝️
I have a question, where do you know where to go during these courses? And how do you train your horse to be prepared to use this much energy?
Well for the first question, every fence has different colored numbers that go in order for different levels of riding. Then before she goes out in Sharpie or any horse, you normally walk the course at least three times on foot or on a golf cart! Hope that helped! And for the second there is a process called conditioning where you work up a horses level of fitness every ride, just like a person who wants to get better at running! You do it very gradually. Johnny is retired and she has more than two active horses.
I wish I was as good as a rider as you ♡♡
Wow that's so amazing - is he even yours??!!😍
How did you do it?! It’s so hard!!!
I love this horse.
gee...how freakin cold was it?
Is Kentucky 3 day just a 5 star? If not what horse will you take?
They are also running a 4star short so riot and Lee are entered.
@@WallaceEventing awesome!
Who’s your favourite horse
Sharps is by far the best horse in your string!!!
Jeez he did it perfectly
i love ur vids
WOOOOOOOOW ITS SUPER!!!!!!🐴🐎🐴🐎🐴🐎😊😊😊😊
Question from a non-eventer: when the official asks to see both sides of your horse, what is she looking for?
Likely spur marks
It could be a number of things: whip bruises, spur marks, blood in the mouth, etc. just anything that says that the horse was not comfortable during his ride! Hope this helped.
Sweet ride
I love your horse
Eu. Amo. Cavalo
