They're a bit behind, I've been riding a Trek Fuel EX-e with the same TQ motor for two seasons now. th-cam.com/video/SjQkiJKz9AI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TrekBicycle If you go to my channel you can see what it's capable at, I've changed from a full 29-er 140/150 to a mullet 150/160 it's a mini Enduro bike and bombs down the mountain as a DH.
High-stakes.. with this one.. I see the market sector as people who dont have lots of time for riding, 2 hrs ride tops, maybe after work, or before work, people who is traveling with the bike and uses the bike to explore... being owner of a Spectral cf8 I think this is a great, playfull option as well ..!!!
@@JoJosch-qk9hi guess the jokes is on you! I've been doing 4-5hr / 20-25km bike rides, 75% in turbo and 2-3hrs of actual moving time with the Trek Fuel EX-e which has similar specs. When ever I ride for 2hrs 15-20km without that much time for resting I'd end my ride with 30-40% of battery life left. Most of if the time I run out of energy way before the battery does, these lower powered lighter e-bikes are a game changer. I've got a full powered Trek Rail too, that one doesn't last that much longer, you're just going faster on the climbs.
I'd say try it out, I'm 100% sure it will change your opinion! I can say that having a full powered 51lbs 85nm / 625Wah Trek Rail and a 41lbs, 50nm / 360Wah Trek Fuel EX-e with the same TQ motor myself. The Fuel EX-e used maybe 10% more battery life than the Rail. I've been doing 4-5hr / 20-25km bike rides, 75% in turbo and 2-3hrs of actual moving time without any problems.
Well, they had to install it somehow. So probably, just do the install in reverse lol. You can't cure carbon around a battery (it wouldn't survive the oven)
It looks damn cool! I just have one concern: what if the battery brakes? Is it possible to change it? Pulling down the motor gives you access to the battery?
if it's designed like the Trek Fuel EX-e, there's no need to drop down the motor which is only 10cm or so in diameter which basically sits where the BB sits. I just hope they've made a battery door so you can remove the battery from the down tube. th-cam.com/video/SjQkiJKz9AI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BLISTER
ZF are tied to Raymon bikes till at least 2026 and DJI will probably stick to their AMFlow bikes till at least then also so not expecting those units to be supplied to any of the big hitters for quite some time so with Bosch, specialised releasing new motors soon and I reckon TQ will have a new motor by 2026 the sector is ever evolving
I love Canyon - but the bike they are describing is a Trek Fuel ExE which has been on the market for three years. You can over stroke the front fork to 160, it can be run as a mullet or fill 29er, it has the TQ motor and a bigger battery. Full carbon. Super stealth. This Canyon bike seems awesome, but a bit late as MTB tech is moving so fast. When the DJI motor and bike drop, the whole industry is going to be out on alert. It might be close to as light as this Canyon but way (way!) more powerful and a much bigger battery.
@@50.Baryshikov I have the Trek Fuel EXe and I do love it it’s great bike the TQ motor is surprisingly punchy especially in Turbo I can keep up with my mate he ride a a bike with the Bosch CX race motors although he is 5 stone heavier than me but you are right the DJI motor has turned the industry on its head expecting some big things from the competitors now over the coming year or so to keep competitive
Whats the story with E-bikes in Canada? This one looks like a complete no-brainer for my first e-mtb, but I understand there are still some battery import issues or some such. Is there a time line for your ebikes coming to Canada?
Not lighter than what was already available with the TQ motor. 2+ years after the initial HPR50 wave - light e-MTBs are already moving on. And, light e-MTbs need a big fixed battery or a removable small battery so that a 2nd can be swapped in when out on a ride (… or the 2x REs are cheap, which they are not).

First of all: great video! Love Canyon athletes lineup. I like the bike, but I wouldn't buy it because of 3 reasons: 1, TQ motor seems already dead with the new generations (DJI) 2. Chainstays still too short for tall riders 3. MOTOR GEARBOX UNIT PLEASEEE!!
Nice bike but motor is a significant compromise compared to dji avinox system. Full power for 400 gram difference plus a better display. Back to the drawing board for you guys.
I figured out last year that non emotor Mtbs are dead, there is no point to buying one unless XC racer. I race Moto so understand a little extra mass when on a gnarly trail increases stability and ability to go faster and have more fun.
We can't tell you exactly why this should be the case. If you look at our homepage, you can see that we also deliver our bikes to Croatia. You can find more information on this under Shipping and delivery.
Can’t see DJI being on any other bikes other than their own branded AMflow bike for some time yet why would they if you want their motor you have to buy their bike 🤷♂️
Nice looking bike , BUT old tech! This should have been new zf motor or at least tw50 with new 500whr battery. Like this and for that steep price it will NOt sell
Nice, but a360 wh battery is no good,i like long rides of 35-45 miles,750 wh battery and nothing else will do,and a mullet set up on long rides is crap, this is just a bike park bike, and nothing else.
The fact that you in canyon managed to get a ebike motor inside a frame like that and still give super good power.
incredible.
keep it up
This is a Amflow knock off without the goods, this is a compromise, why not have both of the best worlds? high power and light slim design.

SICK! This is no doubt the evolution of MTB trail bikes!!! Congrats Canyon!
Schön das die Kabelzüge wieder direkt in den Rahmen geführt sind. Alles andere ist ein Gebastel.
We need this on the Torque :D
Sam Pilgrim 🎉🙏🏻 lets goo. Love the bike

4:50 the flex of the wheel!!!
Good choice on the TQ motor, I've been riding my Trek Fuel EX-e for 2 seasons now and I haven't touched my custom build Forbidden Dreadnought since!
This bike is a true state of the art
new dream bike revealed 😍😍😍
Schön, wie ihr überall den Link auf das Bike verteilt und dann aber nur ne Fehlermeldung kommt. Top! 🤷🏻♂️😉
Still waiting for the new sender
Not me
Like it so much!! Curious how it will ride without the motor turned off.
Have you seen the new DJI bike tho! The DJI motor and the Amflow bike is a 🚀! Did I mention it’s lighter too than the Canyon too!
It looks so sick, but I think it's a lot more expensive than this.
Sam is happy with your bike, the first thing i can tell😂
Although Canyon comes from my hometown I was not a big fan of their bikes so far. But this one might push the right buttons for me :o
Love love love this bike 💪🏼✨
Looks interesting! Looking forward to the first reviews
you guys hit it out the park with this one, now make a non mullet one like the Pivot Shuttle SL
Oh my god canyon i really loved this bike. I m really enthusiast, this is the bike i m looking for.
When will it be available in Australia?
Also wenn ihr nun den HPR50 mit aufgenommen habt, ist mir echt schleierhaft, wieso dieser nicht für das Grizl:ON genommen wurde.
Does in comes on 29 only no Mullet ?
How would the battery or motor be taken out if they need replacement or servicing?
Well, they had to install it somehow. So probably, just do the install in reverse lol.

Outstanding 😊
This is very interesting, this is an e-Bike that I could own.
Pls bring back E-mtb options for Australia 🇦🇺

The question is, where I can get that Red lyrik????
kann man den akku entnehmen? das ist für mich das wichtigste weil ich kein fahrrad 3 stockwerke tragen will :D

how do you change battery in case it goes bezirk? after warranty i mean.
In that case, we recommend an exchange via a workshop

Canyon has the best emtbs on the market right now plus price to performance ratio is insane
Hello As it is said in some comments, I don't know why it doesn't already have the new 580w battery

Que hermosa bicicleta
When's an ebike not an ebike? When it's sitting at 300w max peak power waw that's weak! The Levo SL hardly climbs if your over 100lbs
Hope the frame doesnt crack and hope the price is lower than a motorcycle
You can always dream. lol

If it's over $2000 usd no one wants it besides for maybe 10% of the market.
