Thelonewolf1154 Wow I had no idea? I just gave my 2007 GSXR 750 to my friend because I bought a 2018 Yamaha R1. It had 29,000 when I gave it to him.... looks like it’s gonna run a long time then....??

I know this is an old post and I totally agree with you that the 750cc is the optimum size and cannot understand why the bike manufacturers have ABANDON THIS CATEGORY.
I ride a VTR1000F and love it and only ride as fast as I need and I think Power needs respect in any cc:)
Love the 06-07 GSXRS, hate the rectifier/stator issues, left me stranded one too many times lol
Easy relocate
Had a 02 GSXR750. Left me stranded a few times as well. Any ideas if the later models have that issue? Say, 2017 plus?
mohlomphehi they mostly did away with the charging system issues in 09, 06-08 being the worst years
I am 95% of the time in second. Even pull away in second. Reason this is the best capacity bike is can enjoy its capabilities more often than can on a 1000.
Reason its the best bike period is its outstanding comfort for a supersport, including for pillion.

All I can think watching this video is how annoying it must be not being able to filter/lane split. There were so many massive gaps you could have cruised through. That would piss me off so much!!

I had an 03 1000 gsxr still runs mint I use it as a track bike I just got the 2017 750 now and absolutely love it I need to have my ECU flashed and exaust system
Since they have a 600 and 1000cc class, why doesn't someone come out with an 800 which is basically right in the middle of those two? Why 750cc and not 800cc?
They're leaving that for Kawasaki probably. They love upping displacement on the competitors by 50cc

Should I get 07 750 or 09? I read online the engine parts have been revised. So if I spent a little more I can get 09, but does that justify the price. Also 09 look very good too

What do you think about 2007 gsxr 750 with 27000 miles on it? Should I go for it?
27000 miles is what I'd call border line high mileage for your average sport bike. With that said depending on who has owned it before and how well they took care of it, that number could mean absolutely nothing toward the condition of the bike. Best bet is to get a feel for the seller and try to determine how well they took care of it. If your unsure ask the seller if they are willing to meet u with the motorcycle at a local dealership to have it looked over, and offer to pay the tab. Most shops will do a look over for maybe 50 bucks or so. At best, If everything is in good order u can buy the bike on spot after the checkup and can buy with confidence. At worst, your out 50 bucks and a few hours of your time but at least you didn't buy a lemon. I will say, that particular motorcycle in good condition would probably go for about 5 grand currently here in central va. Long story short, if it's in good condition and has been taken care and isn't overpriced...amazing bike.
I actually used this tatic when I bought my first bike. A 2006 GSXR 600 with 30,000 miles. Bike now has almost 53,000. Sorry to type so much, just want to provided you with a solid opinion. Good luck !!!
Thanks for the reply, I plan to check the bike out first and if everything goes well, I am gonna do what you just said. Take it to a dealership. Also, does it matter what dealership you take it to? Like if I take a suzuki to a honda dealership or should I look for a suzuki motorcycle dealership?
+Alex Thomas anytime. any competent motorcycle repair shop will do. What you really want from them is to possibly identify any major issues with the bike such as leaks or overheating, bearing issues ect ect. Then u can decide if the purchase price plus repair cost is worth it to you. Whatever issues they bring up, if any, big or small may also help you haggle your price with the seller. Most respectable people who see your really serious about buying the bike and are confident about what they are selling, shouldn't really have an issue with u paying to have it checked out before signing on the dotted line. If nothing else they are getting a free checkup on their bike.
