It will be quite useful if they showed the procedure for large projects and several days of flights. Example: 1000 hetares. Procedure for joining and correcting the entire dataset.
Appreciate the feedback! I can do that!
Is there a way to QA/QC the data in Rock Desktop? It seems odd to have to move the point cloud to your control after the .las has already been created. I just assumed that the check shots would be within a few hundredths of a foot before the point cloud comes out of Rock Desktop.
what if i survey a creek is there any chance to get some points through water(shallow/about 1m)? if yes how about qurality. (I'm using DJI P1 for work. when i need to filter points about asphalt concrete or water it's very annory)
Thanks!
And thank you!
Young Man I say again, you make it sound easy, it is not that easy to ensure that data is verified and actually fit for purpose. Frankly in my Country many have dived in on your advice and bought equipment they could not afford, and are going bankrupt
Great commentary Harrison. I'm in the Ssn Jose area until early November and will be at Dylan's LiDAR seminar in the San Francisco Bay Area probably at that same location I met you at in Dublin a few months ago. Will you be at that LiDAR seminar in late October?
Thank you Dave! Yes, I will be there!
Is there a site that I would be able to detrain my horizontal and vertical datums?
thanks for your work
You bet!
I have a question. You mentioned using the 'tokens' to order deliverables. I'm guessing you get so many tokens per month with your subscription of RockCloud. If that's the case, do tokens roll over each month if you don't use them?
As far as I know, they are pay as you go and you just keep a credit card on file through Rock Cloud to purchase.
Hey Lisa, please reach out to hello@rockrobotic.com - we will get you specific answers and help! Thank you!
So you have to manually classify everything? Also strange you'd use survey data yet not show horizontal accuracy since 9 our of 10 times that's the first thing they're looking for..
Hi, hey, you mentioned the importance of RAM. How much RAM are you using, if you don't mind me asking, say for both laptop and desktop?
I'm running 64GB RAM and an RTX 4080... trust me when I say you'll need it with large datasets.
I run 64gb and recommend this, but 32gb will suffice.
Oh, thank God you're not a Flat Earther, my man! Great explanation of reprojections... something that most people don't quite understand when it comes to survey of any kind.
Ha! I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed it sir. 🌎
@@IndianaDrones dude, we're absolutely LOVING our R3Pro. SLAM'd out our office and we're setting up a project with the city to do our main avenue downtown.
Awesome machine you guys built!
So, is this a totally proprietary system?
Can you process a survey of 13,000 acres on this platform? 30 points/sqft density
Yes! Hit us up! www.freelidarprocessing.com/cloud-talk-to-sales
I live in Evansville Indiana and wanting to start a drone services company and would love your help. I have 10k cash for seed money so how about lending a brother some assistance
