I cant find some specs on the sensor…. At what speed can you fly this? I have a Type 1 VTOL/Fwd Flight acft (over 75 lbs) that flys at 43kts. I map LARGE areas of land. Will this be to fast for the LiDAR if taken from 2000 AGL?

Awesome! I’m curious if you have explored visibility ray tracing with Rock Desktop to remove moving objects from the lidar point cloud? This would enhance the point cloud quality immensely!

Currently running a different system... but I am curious, how wide are your collected strips at 150 feet? What angle of collection are you recording with your sensor.. Is it variable or fixed to only collect a certain field of view? What does accuracy look like at say... 65m? Are you recommending a certain flight altitude to preserve your claimed +/- 3cm accuracy? Another question is can the user increase or decrease scan rate.. or is it fixed in this system.. if so what is the optimum scan rate you found?
Photogrammetry wise... what sort of accuracy are you getting? This example seems pretty dang close, and I didn't see much warping... it is not very frequent that you get a "survey grade" orthomosaic. Especially if you run it through a service like d***e d****y, which is nice because of their cloud processing feature.. but i often deal with anywhere from 0.5 - 2 feet of variance, and awful warping, even with good control around the project which is super frustrating.

The scan width is projected to span approximately 170 feet at an altitude of 150 feet above ground level, based on the outlined parameters. Notably, Rock Desktop offers adjustable angle and distance gate settings for processing, with a recommended angle gate of 60 degrees for optimal field of view. The suggested flight altitude stands at 65 meters above ground level, with both parameters being subject to adjustment.
Moreover, it's worth noting the fixed scan rate of 1.28 million units per second. However, it's reasonable to infer that this rate pertains to a complete 360-degree field of view. Thus, within the specified 60-degree field of view, the effective scan rate would approximate 213,000 units per second.
Although I lack experience in Rock photogrammetry at present, I'm eager to delve into its methodologies and applications.

What smoothness was this job processed at in Rockdesktop? Our company recently flew a job with around 6 miles of curb to be mapped, and the unsmoothed version looked nothing like this, and the medium smoothing widened the curb at the bottom substantially

You get an "A" for enthusiasm but an "F" when it comes to properly explaining why I need this product. It's as if you think the only people interested in your content is a person with 10 years' experience. No one is expecting Drone LIDAR 101 but you make a whole lot of assumptions when discussing this technology. I think this is why your views and comments are so low. I studied computers and networking for years so I'm comfortable with tech talk, but several times I found myself not understanding the same benefits that you saw.
