- I don't I've ever seen so many bricks and pavers in a yard before. Well, I probably have, but my offsider never has, and thought it was crazy, hahaha. Some of you may even recognise this property as we have been here before, but this time we are going to transform the entire backyard. Believe me when I saw there was crap everywhere. It was a big jumbled up mess, but we managed to sort, cut, mow, trim, stack and move everything to resemble some order. Order I say!!! I hope you enjoy the episode, please let me know what you think in the comments section. All up, we spent around 12 hours on this job, including 1 large trip to the landfill. This is episode 3 of 3.

FAQ's:
Q: Where are you located?
A: I am from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 5 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: Mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of bins?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I would say it's because Australia had a temperate to tropical climate, and therefore it doesn't matter that much if they are outdoors. To me, though, it seems a bit inefficient to have them outside in Tasmania with a temperate climate (coldish for 3 - 4 months per year). But that is industry standard down here 🤷♂️
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering I always take away the green waste.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it, as my shed is too small.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on on to the properties.
4. I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k AUD on a stander, but it would be nice to have one!
5. I will get one as soon as my transport and storage problems are solved.
Q: What types of ladders do you use?
A: The large one is a Gorilla Adjustable Platform 150kg and the small one is a Gorilla Mighty 19. They are both adjustable.
Q: Who/what is Jim's Mowing?
A: Jim's Mowing is a franchise business. The Jim's Group is the biggest home services franchise in Australia.
Q: Why do you have 2 channels that seem to be the same?
A: Quick Cuts (my original channel) has music in the background. Quick Cuts V2 is for those that like just machine noise, and it doesn't have music.

Hallo aus Deutschland, ich finde es fantastisch das es tatsächlich Menschen gibt die ihren Garten sinnvoll nutzen indem sie Gemüsebeete anlegen und selbst Gemüse, Kräuter und Salat selber anbauen. Der Garten ist jetzt nicht perfect und sie mussten eine Menge Arbeit investieren, aber ich finde es einfach toll. Sie haben wie immer sehr gute Arbeit geleistet. Brunnenkresse (die Pflanze hinter dem Grill) ist sehr gesund, man kann alles von der Pflanze verwenden, genauso wie von Löwenzahn - die Pflanzen vor den Beeten mit den gelben Blüten - (junge Blätter für Salat, genauso die Blüten, aus den Blütenknospen kann man eine Art Kapern machen, hat mehr Minieralien und Vitamine als der normale Salat und unser Körper ist dankbar für die Bitterstoffe). I just saw this backyard and recognized my garden (double facepalm)
All vegetable patches and a load of bricks. I use bricks to hold the spunbond which I use to cover the veg patches.
And a stack of old wood in the corner. And the weeds... George, I need you here badly! 😭

Every one of these overgrown yards seems to have at least one pile of leftover bricks, but in this case I can see they might have a purpose: to weight down row covers over the vegetable beds.
