It's clear the paraphrasis - twice! - from the second theme of the Taras Bulba ouverture, opera by Lysenko, another ukranian and ethnomusician.
I am a simple dude who enjoys listening classical music from time to time, so could you please tell me where you heard the said "paraphrasis"?
Because the only paraphrasis I heard here was from "Засвіт встали козаченьки"/"Засвистали козаченьки" - a Ukrainian folk song
