I agree with Mark...I’m a technician and run 15 or more stops a day so I don’t have a lot of time. We have a lot of timed stops and yes, trying to get to the next stop and trying to give the customers valuable time and to educate them. We treat 2 feet up and 2 feet out then apply granules at a 5 foot band beyond the treated area for ants, roaches etc
They said they would setup bait boxes to kill mice and see if we had them. I mentioned I had kids and a puppy. We’ll they setup these cheap cardboard bait boxes in plain view in my garage. A mouse got trapped in as it’s essentially glue and the mouse just starves to death apparently. Well, my 8 year old daughter went out in the garage and there is this bait box, it had come unsealed as they are crappy little cardboard boxes and it’s contents is in full view. In this case, my 8 year old got to see a mouse trapped in it bleeding from all of its orifices and still alive looking around. Ultimately, had to put the animal out of its misery with a hammer. This was not something an 8 year old should have seen. I called to cancel and they refused to cancel my service without charging me the $150 termination fee. They’re not a good company. Nothing “eco” about them.
EcoShield was the best pest control service that I've seen so far. However, where I'm located, the service is no longer offered in the Oklahoma City area, and was sold off to Massey Services, which isn't as good but is passable.
I 100% agree with Mark and Rick... An actual professional will customize the treatment of the home and environment and move on when the job is done.. AND THATS WHAT YOU CALL ANT ACTIVITY.. good god..
And you seem to have a lot of time, which we know don't happen with a technician running an actual route, usually you're trying to get done to get to the next account. How much time does it normally take to do a full service of a residential account.
Yes so many things wrong with it. I had to inform a branch manager that they were doing this all wrong. They were using Tempo Dust. Go read that label. They hire practically children to do their services who do not know to read labels.
Why use granular if you're treating the structure 3ft up 3ft out though? Both materials have a different MOA (mode of Action) in the way that they kill and effect the insects, but shouldn't the power spray alone work on the exterior?
@Rob Smith just go read delta dust label which I did. Clearly reads page paragraph below areas you can apply. Says avoid introducing material in the air. A eve outside in the open air=bad
@Rob Smith lol then we are both wrong..either way I will stick to a residual spray over putting messy dust in waves that is going to just fall down in the air.

Sounds reasonable to keep the bait away from the treated areas

You havent seen it done correctly yet
@@michaelmerck7576 I have, before AND after the acquisition

How did it take him 4 trips around the house to finally notice the ant hill
Ecoshield is the pest!!!
And you seem to have a lot of time, which we know don't happen with a technician running an actual route, usually you're trying to get done to get to the next account. How much time does it normally take to do a full service of a residential account.
Mark Upton that's when you realize you found a greedy boss/company. Not all pest techs have 15-20 jobs a day
Leroy Jenkins I agree , all they care about is route completion and bonuses!!
My motto for my company is "we do your house ,one at a time
My experience is on an average of 30 to 45 minutes depending on what the account needs

They don’t help when it comes to wasps or hornets. Don’t waste your money. I’m canceling my contract with this company.

Mark Upton that word SHOULDNT is the reason they do it.
Bait granules should be applied beyond your outside spray barrier like nesting spots such as shrubbery and flower beds
@@michaelmerck7576 okay 👌
I do the up and out with a liquid residual and place niban granules in and around harborage areas like planters ,woodpiles and large tree bases
I agree ,the outside .6 application rate should provide an adequate pest barrier for most crawling pests.no need to do anymore
Putting dust on the de-webber is totally a illegal application. Dust should be put in void areas and not out in the open.
@Rob Smith a dust application is a dusting which you should never see. You show me a label that says you can apply it not in a void area.
@Rob Smith alpine dust is a organic dust basically does nothing. Tempo dust go read the label.
@Rob Smith go read delta dust off label online its clear
@Rob Smith just go read delta dust label which I did. Clearly reads page paragraph below areas you can apply. Says avoid introducing material in the air. A eve outside in the open air=bad

I do not like his application method with that b&g spraying apparatus .it's very sloppy and puts product where it shouldn't be placed
This is a total scam, do not buy!!!
