I agree. It has become a chore to muster excitement for anything Niantic brings to the game these days. Too much work for so little reward. In the end, the customer is always right, and when people aren't getting what they actually want from a product, they don't criticize or protest; they simply stop buying.
I don't mind events and things that change the game up instead of seeing the same kanto pokemon all the time. What I don't like is being forced to drive for an hour to meet people just to do one or maybe two GMax raids... which I may not even catch. Doesn't seem worth it to me. I'd rather have difficult solo content I can grind and work for, like Beldum was for me. When I took it down on my own with my greedent and had to came up with a strategy and everything. That was fun. What's also fun is encountering different and new pokemon while walking. Would be cool if ANY pokemon could spawn, even legendaries. They don't have to be high IVs, just seeing them from time to time would be something cool. Like when Dreepy was in eggs but also in the wild as a rare spawn. They all sucked, but it was cool to come across one every once in a while. Which made me go out more and play GO.
as someone who just got his license, i couldnt be more excited to play the game now. ive been privvy to niantics bullshit since 2017 but finally being able to participate in all the events is what i dreamed of back as a small stupid 12 year old
Niantic needs to rethink Seasons. Seems like all the new features are added in each season, but the events are not well planned out. Remember the season we got Routes when few of us had the ability to make them? Then trying to shoehorn them into the end of season event but few could actually do it. Same thing here. We have D-Max, but unless you played every day and were lucky to get good D-Max mons that you could boost up (with the same currency that you would use to fight the raids), you really were not prepared to fight in them. I would like a new challenge, but give me time to prepare, especially when the mons I can play with are severely limited. Maybe a couple seasons down the line I will be better off... but not 1.5 months.
ive had enough myself over the years i have dumped hundreds of dollars for no reason only to lose out on glitches and out of touch game designers. if they would listen to the people then they could save it. i honestly today have demanded a refund for all they screwed me on now today. people are leaving in droves. i tried to bring in others after taking a second 2 year rage quit from bugs and wasted money but they too hate it so they leave.
I personally really enjoy the challenge gigantamax provides but I do wish remotes were possible so that when the free to play peeps drop off there was a way to continue. I came back in January after a long break and im definitely finding alot to do on the way to 50. If people have been "no lifing" it for years I can see how they'd be bored though

I really hope they make like a bredding scenario like they did in gold and silver.even if it means you have to add a pokemon and a friend has to add a pokemon, then one or both of you get a egg of that that pokemon.
I like to play pvp everyday but I can’t get charge TMs for my mon so even though I have tons of mon I can’t run many teams because I couldn’t get the new moves with the move change bc getting TMs is so hard if your a pvp player. It’s infuriating how difficult changing moves is and that it is totally random you can waste like 6 plus on one mon just to get one move you want. My biggest issue with the game by far

I don’t enjoy raiding at all and spending lots of money on Pokemon that are not good for pvp. I enjoy PvP have been playing it for years and like grinding for mon for great and ultra league. The issue is if you don’t want to spend lots of money to raid which I have zero interest in then getting charge TMs becomes extremely difficult. In this game there are raiders and collectors and PvPers I’m a PvP player and for the last 2 years getting charge TMs has been super difficult without raiding and spending like 2 dollars a raid. I used to raid but don’t anymore because niantic raised the price a lot.
I live in California so have been fortunate enough to get enough people to do gigantamax raids and have the starters/gengar but honestly after gengar im done like its such a hassle and they dont even have overworld effects like megas and can only be used in max battles so whats the point aside from the flex
I’m a free to play veteran player so my perspective might be unique - in general I’m happy for the many events and raids. I don’t enjoy the egg hatching events, those are difficult on a single incubator
Honestly haven't even been playing much for the last couple days of course did some Lugia raids got a shiny was happy but been doing my daily daily incense basically then get off been playing alot more of TCG pocket but I see the paywall in that game too lol but it's fun and gives me a break from boring events that pogo does.
I cant get excited for 100% pokemon anymore even if their good. What is the point if they cant even Dynamax. And in case of the one you got G-max. I cant use my 100% Lapras/Meowth/ Charizard/drilbur/Metagross and Grookey
I mean cash grab is what you call something you don’t want or need right? This next week ima drop a ton of money everyday because I don’t have any of these legendary Pokémon. Ima get 5 remote raids a day all week long. Gonna spend money to get primal Groudon and Krogre cuz I don’t have those either…😅 Ps I’ve only been playing since July of this year so the first Legend raid I was able to play was Groudon this summer
Me personally I have to fork out real world money I want Guaranteed good IV. They don’t want to give you anything good ever even though I’m giving you way to much money for a digital game
I have been trying to see If I could at least see 1 shiny galarian bird and have yet to see one. I have not seen any shiny in a while! I love playing when they have research, but other than that, it's boring when nothing is going on.
I feel the whole Max system is a good direction but it is just TOO limited since it's to be their next major money-printing machine. With Gigantamax at essentially $1.49 a battle if you want to do more than 1 or 2, it's almost the same as a remote raid pass but can't even do 3 a day. I believe being able to hold more and/or have the particle costs redistributed would work well. And no, if you cannot get a group for them because of location or whatever else then you are not the target audience and aren't worth the consideration to Niantic

Burnout is real, i decided to skip on mankey community day entirely because of it, playing pokemon shield was more enticing at that point to me.

In your first year of the game don’t build multiple teams for great league. Focus on master league and raid Pokemon matches it sets you up

Had both of those yamasks before research… didn’t like it that they abused the shinies.
I lost a looot of interest as soon as the TCG mobile came was launched… just because that one feels like a game, there are things to do
