As a mechanic it makes me happy to see a welder that cares about light wiring. When I show up to fix lights on log trailers I always walk the length of it looking for fresh welding.
Thanks for the video glad to see we are not the only ones that have to work on horse trailers. The rivets that were on those pieces are called a blind Huck or a BOM Rivet. I have repair them both ways welding and riveting, and I believe that using the Bom rivets are the best way to fix them as it does allow some movement and does break out. Again thanks for the videos.
CB, I know that you know this but for those who don’t, if it’s aluminum and it cracked; chances are it WILL crack again. Even though you’ve reinforced it. Stock trailers are famous for breaking where this one did. I always say that, “If you buy aluminum, you’re buying future cracks”.
How much do you charge for a job like that? Or how you rate it, I’m about to start a side business of aluminum welding repairs, and your content it’s really helpful I like the way you explain everything
The area your in will cause rates to vary alot and I have no idea about your area...you really need to get that information from businesses near you that do it. I charge for my work by the hour and my rate is usually $75 per hour here.
I'm only 180lbs soaking wet. I've waking up my dogs like that and they are still happy see you. I've waking women up like that! A way different answer !!😂
Princess Diane is a nice looking cat Clay. I like people who are nice to animals - being nice to animals is free, as is not being nice to animals - except being nice to 'em means you aren't a c*** - which is always important. Watch how people are around animals - it tells you all.
