I love that Mahindra has made something so bold. All car manufacturers have gotten used to giving us Indians some subpar vehicles. And now because of this, all brands are forced to make great cars at lesser prices. Cause if they don't, we're gonna just go and buy Mahindras.
Mahindra will be unbeatable now, this is something nobody could've imagined. So much similar to jio move which made other telecompanies to reduce prices.
Xev 9e is same as the size of Mercedes Benz GLC 200 Coupe. And Be 6E is same as the Curvv. As expecting the price gap between two of them is 3 lakhs, i would prefer to go with bigger one...

Mahindra has literally put a accelerometer at 200 km on EV development. This is honestly bang for buck with features, coming from a guy who hates EV hassle. With the development EV's are making surely within 5-10 years they would imrpove all the drawbacks. Just hoping mahindra won't mess this up in after sale services.
Just one point for Australian market. Piano back on the steering wheel is not good. Too many fingerprints. Buttons can have concave space to feel the touch buttons with vibration. Outside piano black also could have mat finish black. Thank you.
Watching it from Nepal, the track and other infrastructures impress me as much as the car. An indian Auto maker with its own world class test facility and infrastructure. Mahindra's humble E20 was the pioneer in Nepal in the EV sector, glad to see Mahindra making a comeback after all these years. Can't wait to see this beauty on the roads of Kathmandu. I just hope they nail the aftersales service. Tata has amazing aftersales in Nepal.
@buseli yup. When I noticed my charging gun was stuck at 10 pm at night, I called the service centre manager. Not only did be pick up, He told me he will come to my place right then, if its urgent. I told him i ll try again the next day in the morning. It got unstuck on its own the next day. I took it to service weeks later and the actuator got replaced without any hassle.
Nice review! Just a minor nitpick-UV rays don’t heat up the car; it’s actually infrared rays that cause the interior to warm up. Since the car has a UV filter, it will protect the interiors from fading and you probably don’t need sunscreen while inside, as the filter provides skin protection from UV exposure.
The BE6E is great. But this video is a banger! And I am amazed how PowerDrift gets these really nice hosts. I don't know a single PD host i have not liked! Every time someone leaves I think I'll miss them But I don't :)
I still can’t believe how amazing these cars look especially at that price! I hope they can translate similar design language into the ICE cars too! Can’t wait for the competitors to catch up.
Stunning piece of engineering! I just bought XUV 700 and do not need another car, but this one makes me want to buy it for the piece of art this is. Just one thing that is oddly consistent though, Mahindra needs better UX for its infotainment system and interior usability. I am ready to offer my services 🙃
Honestly, i can see the TaMo RaceMo concept inspiring the design of the 6E. I believe, Pratap Bose finally made the RaceMo come alive through the 6E, although in an evolved manner!!!
The key fob looks like a spaceship!😍This car has so much going right for it, it's insane! It's in a league of it's own! It doesn't just "feel" futuristic, but feels like a car sent from the future. Absolutely stunning design, interiors are completely different from what we've seen in most Indian cars. It's so indulgent and fun while still being largely practical. The middle adjustable headrest in the rear seat is such a clever design! I've seen so many videos already, but only few folks have discovered it so far 😂😂😂

One correction in an otherwise good video - UV rays have nothing to do with cabin heat, its infrared part of the light spectrum that heats up the cabin due to greenhouse effect. UV rays can cause significant damage to eyes, skin cells, and DNA, and prolonged exposure is linked to skin cancer. Hence it is important to have UV protection in both automotive and vision related glasses
@ PowerDrift - is Mahindra using the same motor in different states of tune for both 59 & 79kwh versions..? torque figures are same 380Nm Whats your opinion - will there be takers for a 286bhp version of 59kwh..? it weighs 120 kgs less..so this will have better power to weight ratio than 79, but shorter range What I intent is a more powerful version than 79kwh (from the angle of power to weight) with keeping the cost/price similar to 59 as more battery packs are not needed

Something which I don’t have a knowledge. Therefore I am asking here. What will be the battery life of an EV vehicle? Like batteries on smart phones, laptops the battery life deteriorates after few years based on our usage style. I am sure the same happens to the battery in the EV vehicle too. How do a buyer determines the life of the battery of a EV Vehicle, basically how confidently the buyer buys a EV vehicle?
they are giving life time warrenty for the battery if you are the first customer and if you sell it to someone than the warranty is 10 years from the date of registration
Awesome review. But the car is not affordable as you mentioned. It's base variant will cost 22 lacs+ on road that too for 59 kwh. 79 kwh will cost even more for base variant. Top variant will easily go beyond 35-40 lacs
