500 charge cycles means 500 "deep discharge" cycles. Lithium batteries can be deep discharged a certain number of times before battery degradation. One deep discharge in theory is one full discharge of the battery from 100% to 0% or wherever the bms is programmed to cut off discharge. Most BMS can allow upto a minimal voltage of 3.2v from a full charge of 4.2v per cell. In general use, you will only be using about 70% of your capacity in an average 30-40km everyday commute. The good thing about these batteries is that if you keep the lowline at 30-50%, and only charge it to 70-80% for storage, and charge it to full about 10 minutes before you go out, the same battery should last between 1500-2000 cycles.
They only take about 1.5 hrs from 80-100%.

Bilkul sahi kaha brother, charge cycle ka matlab wahi hai. Ek bar full charge k baad full discharge ho jaye matlab 1 cycle complete ho gaya. That means agar hum har bar complete dicharge karke full charge karenge to 500 times hum is battery ko use kar sakte hai. Apke usage k hisab se ye battery apka 1 and a half year aram se nikaal dega.
