By George, I think I got it. Haha. Oh wow, its easier than I thought it would be. I watched another video & was completely lost. Thank you for making it so easy. I decided to make a bath mat in a cotton yarn that’s vereigated in blues & greens. I’m. Excited to see the finished product.
Does anyone have an opinion as to whether this is a good pattern for a baby blanket? Do I need to worry about little fingers getting caught in the "wiggles"?
I was never blessed with children, but I think since the base is a grid, they might be able to wiggle their fingers into the centers of the grid. Sewing a backing on would fix that problem. Like a piece of felt or something snuggly soft. You might also check out the blanket stitch pattern on my channel. It’s a simple pattern, but it makes a really nice blanket. Hope that helps. 😊
I would be careful depending on the age of the little one as this is an extremely thick pattern. Infants can easily overheat Especially. I saw another video with the same pattern that gave this disclaimer
it's much easier with a written pattern/picture of grid. Keep looking around. there is a site with a free pattern for the wiggly as well as the grid for the set-up.

If I’m making a rug like a bath mat, I like to do 4 DC in each space. It makes it a bit thicker & hard wearing.
Cool! Thanks for the info, I’ll have to try that out the next time I make a rug. 😊
I really appreciated this video and I really enjoyed it..
What a easy explanation, thank you so much! You made this a fun video, I’m now a new subscriber!
Very nice and simple explanation, thanks! 🌸
Thankpu for such a simple explanation,sweet lady🌉
I'd love to make a rug with this pattern! Do you think the grid could work in rounds? Resulting in a circular mat?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. It’s the same method just working on a circular grid instead of a square one. 😊
Tamara Kelly of Moogly has a tutorial for in the round.
Wonderfull.
