  • Showing basic operation, battery replacement ease, and modification for wall mounting. Could potentially void the warranty. If in doubt, buy a new one, swap back covers before making a claim.

    It went into rapid beeping because your load was large and it knew that it wasn't going to last long, so it went right into the rapid beeping. On a smaller load, it will do slow beeping up until it detects its about to be exhausted.

    Amazon partnered with CyberPower for this UPS because the double beeps and the beeping for when it's low, plus the tone pitch, are all that CP does.

    When you're driling, you're supposed to go at high speed having the plastic housing spin around with the bit as it catches, wacking you in the hand a few dozen times. Nice video though and good idea for hanging. I'm going to use your mounting idea

    Will this hold a 12v modem and 19v router for a few seconds until my generator kicks on?

    how long can the UPS last without power? Looks like only less than 3 min?

    I wish they labeled what kind of batteries to use with these on the website.

    you're able to control it, see how charged it is, and have it automatically shut down your pc. You just have to download the software

    Thanks for this video. That's incredibly less time than I had imagined. I wanted to run a 10W LED bulb during a power outage, but this UPS would run it for at most 50 minutes, likely less.
    I'm getting a bit confused by the battery rating. If it is 2.9 amp at 12V, it should be 35 watt hours. If you were able to use the battery to its full capacity, it should be able to run 200W for 60*35/200 minutes (about 12 minutes). General power conversion is 80% effective, so I'd still hope for 9+ minutes. This means that it's using roughly 1/3 of the battery's actual power. I'm not sure if they do this because lead acid dislike deep cycling or if it's because of voltage and amperage dropping as the charge lowers. Either way, not good.

    Could this be good for a video game console?

    • @hgodtx
      @hgodtx  ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll have to check the continuous and peak power draw of the console. For a PS5 it's 350W so it wouldn't work.

      @@hgodtx I just did check. A PS5 in standby mode uses 1.3 watts.

      You can always use the "surge only" outlets to protect equipment greater than 255W.

      @@hgodtx It’ll probably work according to Sony specs

      It shouldn't beep. How old is it?
