KO and TKO are the best representation of people with split personality and inner demons. You can't cage them, you can't use them for your own gain, and you can't even compromise with them. You just have to learn to live with a whole another person inside of you.
KO and TKO reminds me of original Broly from Dragonball Z. KO is so nice in his regular form but when he transforms into TKO he turns into a machine of pure unadulterated badassery who shows absolutely no mercy no matter who you are

Definitely some inspiration from Shadow The Hedgehog as there's multiple references surrounding him. The promo art for his first episode shows TKO in a pose straight from the boxart from Shadow's game, and in the same episode he calls KO a "faker" which is what Sonic and Shadow called each other in SA2. In You're In Control he writes "ruin to all who oppose me" in the sky which is a reference to something Shadow says in the same game. (in the original animatic it was written as "death to all who oppose me" which is the exact quote). And in TKO's House KO and TKO play Chip Adventure 2 Battle, which is a reference to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, the first game Shadow appeared in. Oh and also literally some of the first drawings Ian did of TKO two of them were referenced from poses Shadow did I just learned that recently
