Nicole Shanahan - we, volunteers/supporters of Kennedy and you, absolutely love your podcasts! This podcast about regenerative farming, and what it takes to make it happen is so valuable! I live in an off-grid Earthship & sometimes struggle getting enough food growth to feel food-secure without going to the grocery store. Thank you! 🙏❣️
This year, I started buying almost everything from my local Farmer’s markets (Chicago)- all farms are small, Midwestern farms, usually family owned and tended. Best decision ever. Since it’s kind of expensive, I have learned how to use up ALL of my purchased items, frugally, instead of throwing away food.
“Capital Out”, is the main issue with it all. When I learned that some of the turnpikes were owned by foreign investors, but I’d thought the tolls were just to pay for the turnpike, that was a big clue. It’s not enough about what is, it’s so much about something else.
Thank you to Nicole and these guys and to all small farmers and people involved in local production of real, nutrient rich foods. Thank you to all who support this change. Let's model the Amish - they seem happier than us!
Thank you❣️ So grateful to hear more fellow Coloradans (former Boulderite here, now W Slope permaculture designer/musician) on the forefront of regen ag. 22:35, happy to hear them consider the native climate & biome. The grasslands of CO, for example need grazers, & even do better with prairie dogs (see the work of Gerardo Ceballos). Some people move into my current region & try to force a food forest on top of a sage steppe mesa when the valleys are a better place for the orchards. Tops of mesas need grazers. The orchards around here who silvopasture are far healthier.
Nicole don't let the campaign dissipate. You have volunteers and supporters that want a to do list. Ask 'em to contact their governor or mayor to localize MAHA in some way. Or hey everyone do this small thing towards this larger goal. Great discussion you continue to impress me. Thanks!

Practice resurrection! I’ve seen the idea of resurrection for healing, that the trials are for our own reframing and our own resurrection (with our guidance from God). So much is about shaming people in processes, that if you aren’t there, you are nothing. Depends on what you practice. Depends on how people use the dark nights. Depends on the goal.
@ 24:00 Nicole, The New York dairy farmers may have a similar marketing growth cooperative as the one you describe for Canada. Not entirely sure but worth a look.
Perhaps you could mention biochar at some point. Many of us are not waiting for "ya'll" to ketch up on this subject. I know you have to focus on big brother giving you the grant $ and implementing the public private partnership, carbon market as the end all, be all communitarian governance solution you are promoting!
I'm 9 minutes in and I heard 4 ingredients are needed to be successful at regenerative ag: debt, direct to consumer marketing, crossing death valley, and cover crops. Those first three sound unfortunate.
I know what you mean, but it achieves lightness when the world news is so heavy. My favourite music devoted to nature and birds is Oen Kennedy's Aluminum Green album.

Yes, absolutely!
I try my best to spread the word.
Future President for everyone 💯✅
These guys swung by my place a few years ago in an Airstream. Good to see them grow their business.
Hope you run for Congress one day. This country needs honest and caring people in Washington.
Proud to be a Mad farmer supported by Phil, Brandon, and the entire Mad Team.

Practise resurrection. I have to stop the video and let this sink in. Be back later.

Nicole can you consider going on Theo Von?
Great idea! I'd love to see Nicole be interviewed by Theo, Rogan and others!
Such an Amazing person.

The music doesn’t really fit, in my opinion
