Used to have an e6400 Ultra back in the day. I kick myself in the teeth for having sold it about a decade ago. But, TAL-Sampler appears to be great (just got it, hence why I'm watching this - thanks!) and life goes on.
Those Ultras were awesome! If you ever get the itch again, they go for dirt cheap on the Japanese auction websites. TAL-Sampler is awesome too though, great sound with the DAC emulation, and closest you can get to that old school sampler vibe in VST form. Enjoy!
The way I did the loop point finetuning on my S950 27 years ago was to play it an octave lower for more precision. Same way for creating multisample breaks: play/record them at half speed and then double the speed. And add a reversed (alternate loop mode) 8th beat for instance when I didn't like the 8th beat sound or its transition back to beat 1
That's the ticket - I've heard of folks doing that. Can see how that would help, going to have to give it a try. Appreciate you sharing some technique!
Playing and then recording it live also gives you more control over the breakbeat. And it is more fun than just entering and moving notes around with a mouse.
Great guide! My favorite way to cut breaks exactly how we used to cut in fast tracker.
Much appreciated! Some things never change 😀
Very simple but great video for beginners. Thanks
Cheers!
thank heavens for serto sample 😅
thanks for the good information 🙏
Thanks !
Thank YOU for the support, Kashiyuka!

You can still buy them at ok prices £400 to £500.
