I didn't hear of Danger Danger till early 00's when their song Bang Bang was on the monsters of rock CD. Since then I've loved most of their songs. Bang Bang,Naughty Naughty,Saturday Night,Rock America,Turn it on,Living it up,Feels like love,Monkey Business,Crazy Nights,Slipped her the big one, horny s.o.b,I still think about you, don't walk away,Good Time, shot o' love,Dirty mind, when she's good she's good when she's bad she's better, still Kickin',beat the bullet, everybody wants some, find your way back home etc.
These guys rose to fame in 1989. And I love that they were from Upstate New York, even though one might assume they’re another band out of LA. Ted Poley on vocals and Andy Timmons on lead guitar are amazing. I’ve heard other lead singers of the era, saying I wish he were my lead guitarist:)
Absolutely love Danger Danger! Super polished sound and just a fun group! You should check out their second album song called Don’t Blame it on Love…great reaction guys. Love seeing younger guys getting into “older” rock😊
I grew up with these guys. Bang Bang was their biggest hit. They were just on the cusp of being big but Nirvana hit and they were no longer cool. But yes Danger Danger is an amazing band. It was fun in high school to listen to them. Many parties they were played at. Nice to see your generation into this! Good find!! Ted Poley the lead singers aunt wrote Somewhere over the Rainbow and all the Wizard of Oz songs. He comes from a very long line of famous singers songwriters.
Ted Polly is a class act. Always loves his fans. My friend got cancer a year ago and danger danger was his favorite band. Ted personally called him and spoke about life in general for about 30 minutes. Dude has a huge heart for people.
Their first album was released in 1989, then Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc all exploded 2 yrs later. Most of the bigger name bands had difficulty selling albums and getting airplay and support from record companies.
Thanks for checking out Danger Danger. Andy Timmons is an amazing guitarist. Played with some friends of mine before he joined Danger Danger. They were underated and the grunge scene took over the hair bands. They were big in Japan. Check out Andy's solo stuff. He is the tone master.
This was the first song I ever heard by these guys and I instantly became a fan. My second favorite song by this band is Feels like Love. I love this band.❤❤❤
Danger Danger was an under rated band, very talented musicians, and unfortunately came on the scene just a little bit too late before the dark times....before grunge. If they'd come out 2 or 3 years earlier they'd have been more popular.
2 or 3 years earlier wouldn’t have mattered that much. They debuted in 1989. Hardly too late or too close to grunge. They could have also easily got lost in the shuffle if they debuted in the US earlier. I think it worked out for them fine
Danger Danger were such an underrated band. They came on the scene just a bit too late sadly. Andy Timmons is such an amazing guitarist. He really showed his stuff on songs like this one and monkey business. Ted Poley's voice paired with Andy Timmon's ripping guitar solos made for quite a force to be reckoned with. Had it been 1985 or before when they arrived, they would have been much more successful.
In all fairness DD should have made it way into the 90s, the Yanks seem to accept whatever corporate taste is forced upon them - the 'alternative wave' was a big stinkin yuck
I luv the choices of bands you guys reacting to. Their not the mainstream popular bands that that everyone knows..like Bon jovi..etc. Next band you guys should react to is "Trixter".....song "Surrender"...keep up the great reactions 🤙
I love that you guys react to under the radar bands, which is usually hair bands that started to get popular in the late 80”s. I bought Danger Danger first 2 albums on cd. Second album not so good. First album popular songs was this one you just react to, and “Naughty Naughty” but another really good one is “Under the Gun” with excellent keyboards. This band mainly sings about sex and women. I recommend your next band you should react to is Kix or Slaughter, if you haven’t already.
SLAUGHTER! Mad about You is great. Just saw them a few months ago, the day after I saw Depeche Mode. Ha ha. Talk about being all over the place. Slaughter Slaughter Slaughter.
I cant tell you why they were not bigger and more mainstream than they they were, but as you can tell by the video they had the talent to be great, I put them in with groups like Trixter and Kix that were great bands but just never made it as big as some of the other hairbands, despite having the talent to do so, maybe as some have mentioned, it was about timing, never the less, it is a great song
Great band. I saw them open for Kiss two times. Got to meet the singer Ted Poley a few times and was a super nice guy. He still tours and has quite a successful solo career. You guys should check out a band Tokyo Motor Fist. It's a fairly recent project he is in with the guitarist from Trixter.
Tokyo Motor Fist kick ass band. I am sure you know the Defiants Bruno Ravel who wrote all Danger Danger great songs and Paul Laine who became Danger Danger vocalist after Ted and Rob Marchello Danger Danger current guitar player they have awesome songs. Both Ted and Paul are awesome singers very cool dudes
Hey guys if you're doing more Danger Danger you should do "Don't Blame It On Love" (their best with Ted Poley as vocalist) or even "That's What I'm Talkin' About" (also with Ted). If you want a bit more edge, a bit more power to your DD fix (dare I say more Dangerous!), then I suggest checking out "Still Kickin'" or "Dead Drunk And Wasted" with Paul Laine on vocals! Speaking of which the best band around today imho, is The Defiants! You really should check out "19 Summertime" from their latest album, 2023's Drive (it was THE song of this past summer!!) or "It Goes Fast" from their 2019 album Zokusho. this band features members of DD and the production on their stuff is supreme! By Bass player Bruno Ravel!! Keep rockin'!
They came out in the late eighties. They were somewhat successful like a lot of those late eighties groups, but the music industry stopped promoting these late eighties and early nineties rock acts to push grunge, alternative, and hip hop.
Danger Danger were a fun band back in the day. Ted Poley - the lead singer has also been involved with other projects and solo albums more recently which are also very good. I recommend checking out a bands called the Defiants which are a newish band made up of Danger Danger members (Paul Laine on vocals who was in D2 in the later years). A very similar style and two great albums have been releases with a third on the way. Maybe check the song from the debut album called 'Love and Bullets'.
Yo Bro! The Defiants are the best band around today!! All 3 albums are awesome with no weak tracks on any of them! "Under The Stars" and "The Last Kiss" are highlights of the debut!! Keep rockin'!
Danger danger was about the best “almost was” 80’s rock band of the era. Definitely should have had more success. Another GREAT “shoulda woulda coulda” was Hardline.. Hot Cherie and/or Can’t Find My Way.
Slaughter, Hardline-Hot Cherie, Firehouse, Nelson, are all really great late 80’s early 90’s bands that should of had a bigger impact but pesky grunge came in before.
Ted Poley, the singer was the drummer in the band Prophet back in the day. He is still playing out with his solo band. great guy. the first couple albums were classics...Ted left the band and they got Paul Laine on vocals...I wasnt ever a big fan after that..
You guys react to everything I love. That being said I'm seeing stuff I haven't seen reacted to that I've wanted to see and you deliver. nice seeing new fans of my kind of music. Rnfnr. \m/

These guys have maybe my favorite power ballad ever. It's called I STILL THINK ABOUT YOU
Absolutely love Danger Danger! Super polished sound and just a fun group! You should check out their second album song called Don’t Blame it on Love…great reaction guys. Love seeing younger guys getting into “older” rock😊
Ya'll are playing all my 80's favorites. Man do i miss the 80's. Best music EVER

The band's first two albums are awesome.
LOVE Danger Danger. I have their. CD in my car as we speak. And you boys summed up this song with one word:Summer. 🤘🏼
Andy Timmons in full beast mode on guitar!!
Ted Polly is a class act. Always loves his fans. My friend got cancer a year ago and danger danger was his favorite band. Ted personally called him and spoke about life in general for about 30 minutes. Dude has a huge heart for people.
Fire song!!!!

These guys get it. It’s a fun song. That’s how it was back in the day, the music made you feel good.

I grew up with them. They are awesome!!❤

Thanks for checking out Danger Danger. Andy Timmons is an amazing guitarist. Played with some friends of mine before he joined Danger Danger. They were underated and the grunge scene took over the hair bands. They were big in Japan. Check out Andy's solo stuff. He is the tone master.

When I hear this song, I think of cruising in an IROC Camaro, T-tops out, sun shining, thinking that things will never get better than this.
Andy Timmons was the guitarist. Bruno Ravel on bass, Kasey Smith on keys and Steve West on drums
Also check out “Keep on, keepin on”.
Ya know... You guys, being twins AND enjoying glam metal, should give a listen to Nelson! Try the song "Love and Affection"

Another great band that just hit at the wrong time.

Danger Danger was pretty douchey when I get autographs from them back in the 80s
