- Went out on a rainy day after Christmas to find some Yellow Perch. I took my little boat with the @EpropulsionHk motor on it. 1 year review of the epropulsion evo tiller 3hp battery power motor.

Dat oil with rain is sketchy lol good video, I stopped a movie when I saw the notification ❤❤❤
John, thanks for this video. It brings back memories of me and my late son fishing. We fished a lake in Gloucester VA. We used to slay the crappie, but every now and again we were surprised with a few yellow perch in the bag. They were good eating. Like you, he loved to explore new fishing areas. He lived the latter part of his life in CO and would always share the adventures and tell me that next time I made it out, he would take me. It never happened. I am sure we will go fishing in heaven together when the Lord says my job here is done.
When I was a kid we always got yellow perch dinners on Friday night. Those are absolutely the best eating fish ever. Wish I could fish for them now I'd like to taste those wonderful fish and remember my family.
What stopping you? Perch are still so common.
My 84 year old dad is still fishing...
Fish...🤮
C&R or give away to others if I cannot safely release them.
I've been in a wheel chair for almost 20 years. I don't get out much@@stephenballard3759
I love how real and honest your videos still are John. Showing things like rain dropping in the oil and food, forgetting the plate. It is the exact kind of thing we all do. Forget this or that, make do, still have a blast. You have the best channel on TH-cam dude.
That is the way to do it. Some nice perch fried fresh. Nothing better!
Yellow perch are some of the best eating ever! Love your channel!
I’m glad you like the epropulsion motor. Wish I had one. Gotta save up to invest in one. Keep up the good work on the videos!!
Props to you buddy! Cooking in the rain! Trooper!
Cooking in the rain and eating fresh fish out of an old hot dog container. Doesn’t get any better than that. ❤❤
living the dream
That was a super fun trip John. Thanks for bringing us along
No stringer, no plate, cooking in the rain. You really didn't think this thing thur, did you John. Better make a list in future cooking outings. LOL. I bet that fish was delicious.
I have said you should get you a woman from church who likes fish to cook you up a mess but look at you now catching, cooking and doing fine. John you look good and it seems that you are happy. Thank you for the years of entertainment you have been a good friend even though we haven’t meet. I hope 2024 gets you to 500,000 subscribers
I like this comment
Maybe he should get himself a good Christian lady to fish for and cook for.
But then he wouldn’t have as much time to fish 😉😂
@joshuaczubkowski241 unless she fishes too.
No way John !!! Dont buy the farm ! …… just hold your horse !! Hahaha
During the late 50s through the 60s I fished the St Lawrence River between New York State and Ontario, Canada with my dad. At the time the daily limit was 35 perch/person with no limit on the freezer possession. We could limit out with cane poles in an hour! Sadly there was a lot of abuse and that productivity was gone by the end of the 70s. Filleting 70 perch took a lot longer than catching them but they sure tasted great. Bon appetit.
Thanks John, Can;t imagine that was the most enjoyable meal you ever ate. Nict perch catch.
That’s dedication. Catch n cook in the rain
One of the best eaten fish There are. Great flavor
Easy to fix.
Usually When you get on them, they're plentiful. You're dedicated man to be fishing in the rain then cooking in the rain. Great video john love the catch and cook. Like the little boat you got to. Something I think I could do. Especially with the motor. Have a happy and safe New Year.
I think this is the first time I have seen you keep fish. Pretty refreshing actually! Great video!
You need to take some time and make detailed check lists for your different fishing adventures. Having a stringer for keeping the fish fresh is kinda important. Having a life jacket is also kinda important, especially when you are by yourself in an isolated area.
i live so randomly
That’s a nice small pond set-up for sure.
Merry Christmas
I am going stir crazy. Recovering from shoulder surgery and whole family has Covid.
We still have not celebrated Christmas but Christ is in all we do.
Thanks for the video.
You turned a messy day into a productive fun day, it helps to have the right equipment to make that happen, I know that fish was super good, now that's what you call fresh fish!😁
Those yellow perch are soooooooo cool!!!! Wish we had them here in Nashville area
Hot grease and rain doesn’t mix very well. Glad it worked out for you. Looked good 👍
Talk about good eating, nothing could beat creek side cooking of fresh catch. Looked fantastic.......
Thats one busy road! I used to fish yellow perch in Michigan while visiting my grandparents.
Great video. Nice cameo by the First State Fishing Static seasoning!
That's a good day bubba...
Love catching perch they are a very unique species
Always funny to me how a 9 inch perch is so small it's almost annoying, but a 10" perch is pretty good.
Great trip and video John. Glad you had a good Christmas with family. Gloomy and cold rain in Fla. right now too. A suggestion to keep in your truck is one of those pop-up canopies in case of rain. Cook away and stay dry! God Bless and Happy New Year!
Dude, its only horrible conditions if you let it spoil your trip. What a lot of fun and no fish can taste better than being cooked right after you catch them. Thanks for taking me along.
I enjoy all of your videos but this was really fun! I thought I was the only one who loves to eat yellow perch! Perch in our area, Clarks Hill Lake (SC/GA), are usually small but they provide a very tasty bite of food. I don't fish any more but I do enjoy watching you! Thank you for sharing your experiences! Loved the Florida trip!
That lake you are fishing is called "Power house #2 dam. The dam channels water to Power House #2, by the flume line that runs down the Ocoee River.
Great little catch and cook! Happy new year!
I’m sure the fish will be delicious on a day like this.
John Dalton: The King of turning a gloomy day into a great day!! Thanks for taking us along again! Happy New Year & God Bless! :-)
Yellow perch and walleye are the best eating imo.
Looks and smells good, John. Happy new year!
I rarely keep fish to eat, but a pile of tasty yellow perch is hard to resist😋. Try coating them with Autry seafood breader and frying in bacon fat, so good!
I have a bass raider and I love what you’re doing. That kind of thing is so much fun. Being in His creation. Bless you brother and keep the videos coming. I love them.
what a way to start a new year that was veary Enjoyble hop you had a very merry xmas hpoe you have aveary blessed going in the new year
Except the rain, really nice!!! Next step take the kids out in a sunny day catch and cook! Happy new year!!!
U and firststate should make a video collab!! Enjoy watching the both of yal
Great video as always. I appreciate how you try different things so your channel doesn’t become stale. Looking forward to your 2024 adventures!
I saw your insta posts of the perch earlier. Was waiting for this video! I used to catch perch all the time where I am but I have caught very few in recent years.
Love some Yellow Perch, great eating fish IMO
John, great show as always. When filleting those fish, cut all the way down to the tail but not through. Leave it attached and flip the filet over and let the tail piece hold on while you take the skin off. Super helpful. Again, we love your content
That food looked really good, hope you had a Merry Christmas as well🐟🎣🐟🎣
That’s dedication in the rain! Keep it up!
I love yellow perch also look cool in the fish tank
thats a good idea for a tank
Hope you had a blessed Christmas Jon!
You just did what I love to do shore cooking
Great catch and cook. I like a good Cajun seasoning.
Good catching! I bet they would have been fun on a fly rod and a small Clouser minnow.
Best way to eat. I’d love it, rain or not
I remember catching some monster yellow perch at some lakes near where my parents live last fall.
You can skin a yellow perch like a catfish. Skinning those that size is much faster. The meat comes off in slabs like filllets and you get much more meat per perch.
Cool CCC video. Nice to see you catch a smallie too. Fish on.😊
Another great video keep up the great posts
Atta boy, that's what I'm talking about. Relocate them fish to Crisco Lake. Stay safe and have a Blessed, Healthy, Happy New Year.
That misty foggy cloud is the substance for the title of the National Park Service naming a specific part of the Southern part of the Appalachian Mountains the Great Smoky Mountain's National Park. ❤😊
Hello John, you really looks nice in black, but you have a wonderful time today, I have to leave and go to Church you be bless
More catch n cooks happy new year love the vids
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Blessed safe and prosperous NY John to you and all your followers. Keep rock'in an blowing up brother!
John, Thanks for sharing and taking me along. I remember catching Yellow Perch in West Sandy off the Big Sandy River in 1989 its part of Tennessee River/Kentucky Lake in West Tennessee and they said we didn't have Yellow Perch in our waters then . But we do now . I used to fished 12 months a year. God Bless You and Happy New Years , May God's Blessings Shine On You In 2024.
Enjoyed the video. Yes, look out for them bones!
Happy new year John can't wait to see what you have planned for next year!!!🎣
thanks man
great video! yellow perch are a blast to snag up outta the water this time of year, they love the mule minnow!
That beard though! You ain’t playing around. It looks good brother!
trying to keep it till spring but it might not last
@@CreekFishingAdventures the struggle is real, lol
Been watching you for years and you're content is amazing
Love your videos by the way my son turned me onto your channel while back your videos kinda inspired me to get back to fishing after long time not so thanks and God bless you
Awesome video John! I have really been enjoying all your videos. Looking forward to warmer weather here up north. Tight lines!!
Live in Wisconsin , perch fish a lot. Perch seem to move around as a school , you have to move with them or wait till they come back ! I personaly scale the perch , the skin frys up so crispy and tastes delicious. E njoyed the video !!
Enjoyed!
We love our perch up here in the mitten.
The ole gas station hot dog tray good find in the floorboard
Great vid. I like your tourny vids. Stiil, it's good to see the no pressure just having fun stuff too. I just retired at the end of June and took up fishing again. Thanks in big part to you and that mule guy, ive been pond and creek hopping. Come Spring, I'll be exploring Hines Park in Michigan. Goggle it and tekk me it ain't a urban fishing paridise. Thanks for the inspiration and insight.😊
Great year John, if you ever make it up to Maryland check out our snakehead fishing, you'll have a hoot.
And a wonderful belated blessed merry Christmas to you and now, a wonderful new year !! Lot's of good fishing in the new year!!
Looks quite tasty! Glad your Christmas was blessed have a fun but safe New Year ... Seeya next year!
That's the way to do it, man! Catch and Cook ftw!
I have been watching your channel for years now and had no clue you owned a bass raider 10E. I own the same boat would love to see more videos of you fishing from it.
Note( I love your videos either way)
I absolutely hate to be that guy but how much are these little boats ? I’m thinking if it’s not to expensive it may be the way to go for my area
Think it's around 1000 for bare boat now as it became more popular. But when I got it, it was only 600.
@@rogerboling3076 ok thank you for the response
i really should use it more
Happy new years! i wish i had nice rivers and deep creeks around where i live in eastern PA. thank you for making me happy all year!❄️
Living in the Great Lakes area, yellow perch really common, 2nd best eating fish next to walleye
Cool video, you were a little unprepared but everything worked out for you!
thats my life
Thanks for sharing brother man and taking us along. I do love some good fresh perch. I don't eat much but yes fish are food, delicious no doubt that comes as a privilege when you buy a license. In order it's perch crappie walleye trout or salmon and cold river catfish when I take some. Got a few plans for my bass raider...it needs to get out more. Have a safe Happy New Year John. Hopefully more blessings in 2024 for you
Love the video, im fixing up a pellican 8 ft myself. Puting sunkin pole holders in next.
nice
I LOVE perch fishing and can watch this whole day! Our European perch is a lot bigger (biggest are about 6- 7 lbs), but the average size is about the same as yellow perch (8- 10oz). That fish is so fun, and sometimes not so easy to catch. But it's a beautiful, great fall and winter fish... Happy holidays!
i have always wanted to go catch the European perch, maybe some day
@CreekFishingAdventures why not? Per example- you have a lot of UL youtubers in England, you can be their guest, later they can be your guests. Collaboration is the key. Fishing connecting people 😁 Treat yourself when you reach 200,000 subscribers 😃
Great video! Thanks for sharing with us❤️🎣
We used to have a really good yellow perch river here in southeast Virginia, but the commercial guys put up nets everywhere and now the fishery has collapsed.
Thanks!
wow thanks for that
I hope you had a great Christmas your self my friend!!!!
The Xmas hangover 😂😆😂. I call it seasonal depression 😂. Philly has been kinda terrible for anything freshwater. The river is WAY up. The salt is too hit or miss. Funny you posted this cause I was just looking through my logs of the past 5 years and found some insane yellow perch fishing I had a few years ago. So now I'm going to try to catch my last fish of 23 and 1st of 24 at my secret perch hole. Best part is the water is part of the reservoir system so it's not a terrible idea to eat them. Unlike just about every other water around Philly 😂😆😂
Hard to beat a fresh caught perch dinner! Happy New Year John!
Got my 10 year old son a Jackson kayak and some creek fishing merch for Christmas lol he didn’t want to take the shirt off last weekend
love it!!
This is my kind of video John thumbs up 👍
Happy new year John!
We use to catch yellow perch in our local reservoir, but I have seen one in 15 years. (Carvins Cove) Roanoke VA.
Happy new year buddy. I wished we had more yellow perch around here in NW AL. I've caught a few on Pickwick Lake (Tennessee River) but not many. 👊👍
Loved the video John. I hope you have a great 2024.😂
I enjoy the cook and eat videos
